Pros:

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel e nel complesso l’esperienza è stata positiva. La posizione è fantastica, molto comoda per visitare la zona. La camera era nuova, spaziosa e ben curata, mentre l’area ristorante, pur non avendola utilizzata molto, ci è sembrata molto bella e accogliente.

Cons:

Purtroppo c’è stato un episodio all’arrivo che ci ha lasciato un’impressione negativa. Dopo il viaggio, siamo arrivati in hotel e abbiamo atteso circa 10 minuti davanti a una reception completamente priva di personale. Abbiamo suonato più volte il campanello e provato a chiamare il numero di telefono della struttura, senza ricevere alcuna risposta.
A quel punto la mia ragazza, stanca per il viaggio, è andata a cercare qualcuno nel corridoio dietro la reception e ha trovato l’addetta in cucina. Una volta arrivata alla reception, invece di scusarsi per l’attesa, ci ha detto che avremmo dovuto suonare il campanello nel caso non avessimo trovato nessuno, cosa che in realtà avevamo già fatto diverse volte.
Non sappiamo se il personale fosse impegnato in altre mansioni assegnate dalla direzione oppure se si sia trattato di una situazione occasionale. In ogni caso, riteniamo che delle semplici scuse per l’attesa sarebbero state apprezzate e avrebbero evitato di lasciare una sensazione negativa all’inizio del soggiorno.

Great, will come back!
Pros:

The location was great, with view on Florence's city center (one can view the dome of the cathedral).
The natural environment of Tuscany's countryside was fantastic.
Nice breakfast.

Cons:

Sadly the pool wasn't available, and the agreement with the nearby camping didn't work out for us. But must admit that this is a temporary thing, so it should be better next time.

Peaceful Tuscan Stay
Pros:

Villa Castiglione is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting in the Tuscan countryside near Florence. The historic building has plenty of character, and the lack of crowds made the stay particularly relaxing. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

The restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. Dinner was excellent, with very good food and a pleasant atmosphere that made every evening enjoyable.

Cons:

Some aspects of the property could be improved. The furniture and room furnishings felt quite dated and did not match the charm of the building. Breakfast was average and somewhat underwhelming; considering the location, we expected a little more variety and quality.

The biggest disappointment was the swimming pool, which was unavailable during our stay due to a major renovation or rebuilding project. It would have been wonderful to relax by the pool and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings, but unfortunately that was not possible.

Semaine au calme proche de Florence avec un bon rapoort qualité-prix
Pros:

petit-déjeuner complet mais invariable de jour en jour.
Etablissement limité à 12 chambres pour le moment mais avec des travaux en cours sur la piscine comme pour de nouvelles chambres ce qui occasionne quelques désagréments en journée.
La localisation proche de Florence est parfaite et au calme avec un accès en voiture somme toute un peu compliqué avec une route d'accès où il est difficile de croiser quelqu'un à contre-sens.
Matelas hors d'age...qui nécessiterait un remplacement...dans le cadre des travaux à venir, j'espère
Mobilier des chambres très original créée par un artiste

Lovely stay, wonderful views
Pros:

Location was beautiful. A little out of the way so glad we had hired a car but views over the city were superb and a lovely quiet spot. Staff were excellent and the food and wine in the restaurant was very good. Room was very clean, spacious and a bit quirky. Bed very comfy. More hangers needed invwardrobe and some drawers would have helped. Bathroom spotless and spacious but would benefit from some hooks/somewhere to hang clothes.. We used a taxi to get into the city cost €31 ,each way but as we had only 1 full day and timed tours booked it was worth it to avoid stress of parking. Overall a beautiful location, great hotel would recommend
