What fabulous hotel food was stunning the staff were so friendly and helpful super clean rooms and grounds positioned brilliant 5 mins walk to the beach so many pools to choose from with games keeping you busy and entertainment in the evenings was brilliant as well
This is our 4th visit to Zafiro Palmanova and we had an amazing time as we have done in previous years.
I have a 7 and 10 year old and they love it here, the pool is a hit along with the activities and the soft play at mealtimes (lifesaver for us parents too!)
The hotel is in a perfect location with a few minutes walk to the beach and the hotel itself is very clean and well maintained by the incredible staff.
Upon check in we were upgraded to a swim up room, which proved very helpful when my oldest developed an ear infection towards the end of the holiday. This meant he could still enjoy the water without the risk of his ear getting wet.
The staff absolutely make this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble and the fact we see the same faces year after year proves they enjoy their job.
The food is great, one of the reasons we first picked this hotel is the good reviews from Coeliac customers. I have coeliac disease and in the four years we have been coming here I have not once been ill. Everything is well labelled and the chef has no issues taking you around to point out what you can and cant have. Great service! I have a very picky eater in one of my children and he always found plenty to eat.
The ONLY thing that let it down this year was the sunbed situation. In the previous years a note was left on a sunbed with a time if no one was there. If they had not returned within 40 mins then the towels were removed. A great system that seems to have been forgotten about this year. During our stay there was a large group of around 12 people. Mostly adults. From around 6.30 the grandmother would take 12 sunbeds and remain there, however the rest of the party would not show up until after lunch. I saw families turn up at pool with nowhere for them or their children to sit. This seemed to have a knock on effect with others then reserving beds and by 7.30am there was nothing left.
Zafiro, please re introduce the 40 minute rule and the enforcement as this does have an effect on a relaxing holiday!
We will be back next year x
Lovely hotel, food lovely and in a good position. Our first time fully inclusive which we really enjoyed. The only thing that let the hotel down was the sunbed joggers. A reason for going to this hotel was because they advertised that they removed towels after 40 minutes which they don't so by 7.30 am almost all the beds were taken and some were there for hours before anyone used them. Don't advertise something that you're not going to enforce.
We came here with our two daughters and booked a swim up suite where on the website it promised ‘exclusive access’ and private tranquillity to a private swim up pool, the only section you get is the small section at the front which unfortunately only gets the sun for a proportion of the day and is only large enough for two people, the larger section to the front is actually open up to any hotel guest and we had another large family in front of us every day for our entire stay, there was zero peace and privacy as the sunloungers looked directly into our room. Don’t bother booking a swim up suite as you are paying a lot of money for something anyone can have access to, we were all so disappointed and when we approached reception were met with little explanation or care to our query and even when my husband complained on a feedback email from the hotel we received no follow up. We also paid extra to ‘pick’ our room of which I now feel totally duped by, just another way to get money out of people, we would not stay again and certainly wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want some relaxation and a peaceful family holiday.
We have had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone.
The staff are absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough to help us throughout our stay. A special mention goes to the reception team, who were always friendly, welcoming, and happy to assist with anything we needed – their excellent customer service made a real difference.
The hotel is spotless, with high standards of cleanliness throughout. There is also a great choice of food with plenty of variety at every meal, so there was always something for everyone.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for making our family holiday so enjoyable!
We did have the added advantage of having a swim up room which made so much difference to the toddlers!
What an amazing hotel! Location was great, Food was fantastic but most of all what a bunch of amazing staff who make this place what it really is!
Rooms were amazing and so clean. You just couldnt fault anything. Well worth he money!
A big shout out to Maria Jose and the team on reception who are just such a great front of house team! Nothing is an issue and they cant help enough. In the restaurant Elicio and Africa were just so welcoming and friendly. In all amazing. Having stayed at the Alcudia Palace hotel in prior years I did have my worries about how this other hotel would be but this surpassed by expectations.
All in All - Excellent - 5*'s all the way
Perfect location. Great atmosphere. Beautiful rooms apart from grown ups playing on the park in the middle of the night right outside my room. Great value for money plenty of food really could do with more choice for kids. We have a very picky eater who will only eat basic food but we managed to feed her everyday. Kept very clean inside and out. Noise level was fine just people having a great time. Staff were great nothing was to much trouble. Waiting to rebook again for next year cant wait.
Excellent hotel in a great location, minutes from the beach and bars.
Very family friendly and the food was outstanding.
Lovely rooms too.
Great family friendly hotel.
We’ve just arrived home from a lovely family holiday . Grandparents, parents A 5 month old & a nearly 3 year old.
Our rooms were large , comfortable & Clean .
Both had good sized balconies & pool views & one had a jacuzzi.
Always a good choice of food in restaurants to cater for most people’s needs .
The staff in the restaurant were all helpful & friendly.
Pool areas clean & we always managed to find sunbeds . Good choice of pools to suit the different ages of children .
Entertainment in the evenings was what you’d expect in a good family hotel .
Hotel is in an ideal location . Far enough not to hear the evening noise of the town but Close enough to walk to lovely beach & main shops , bars (5-10 minute stroll) There is a well stocked supermarket on site as well as an Aldi about 15 minutes walk away .
Overall definitely a great hotel I’d come back to with our family.
Would recommend & would go again. Very clean in all areas.Rooms spacious & modern. Plenty of choices with food & we had picky eaters in our family, tip lunch time you can eat of the al acarte menu on all inclusive.Bar menu was great with loads of choice, not just your usual. Didn’t use but the kids club girls seemed tobe a hit with the younger ones. Plenty of sunbeds,no 7am queuing. Location great not far from everything you need. Only things our family said it needed to give 5 stars would be an overhaul on the mini golf, very tired. And needs an entertainment team with daytime activities, energy & personalities as that is usually fun to watch or get involved with in the day by the pool.
We recently returned from a 7 night stay as a family of 4 and overall, we would say that the hotel provided everything we needed for the duration of our stay.
In previous years, we have stayed in the same hotel in Majorca but this year decided to try somewhere different. We therefore would draw comparisons between the 2 and in most of it not all areas, the Zafiro was lacking.
Firstly, we would have expected a better welcome on arrival. The check in seemed very rushed as the hotel was busy and staff seemed quick to rush through the process. Once checked in, the rooms were very nice and our room with a jacuzzi on the balcony was well received by all of us including our children.
The pools were great and well geared around children. Our little boy would have chosen to spend hours and hours by the splash pool and the slides were a welcome activity to keep him occupied. The hotel should follow through more often with its 40 minute sunbed rule as whilst there are notices around the pool, I did not see it enforced once during our stay and it was noticeable that beds were reserved for hours on end at times.
The buffet and food offering was really disappointing. There was no variation in the food helping even though I read online that there are themed nights - if there are, the differences must be very subtle. It really was boring and repetitive so much so that we went out to eat at times even though we were all inclusive. The à la carte restaurant isn’t a separate restaurant, rather a cordoned off area of the buffet and the food was not good. I would be of the opinion that the food offering was more a 3 star than 4 which severely lets the hotel down.
The staff were good although at times, we felt they could have been a little more welcoming, especially with the kids. Perhaps we are comparing to other hotels here but this is an area that we feel there should be some improvements.
The hotel is in a great area and the beach and prom are easily accessible from the hotel which is a huge bonus.
Overall, the hotel was good and we had a lovely time but not sure we would be rushing back.
This is a nice hotel for families. The staff are lovely and very efficient and helpful. There is an excellent choice of food in the restaurant. The shows in the evening were of good quality and enjoyed by the whole family. My granddaughter attended the kids club on a couple of occasions and enjoyed her time there . The children's team seem to love their job and are obviously well trained and safety conscious.
We visited the nearby beach which has nice sand and was clean. The area down by the beach was a little run down with the shops very basic and dated which is a shame.
The only feedback I would have for the hotel is that the restaurant staff are overly keen to clear away plates etc and tend to hover over the tables at meal times which doesn't make for a very relaxed meal .
The staff are lovely. Good choice of quality food. Shows were great.
Staff in restaurants too keen to collect empty plates and were always hovering over you which didn't make for a very relaxing expericience
We had a great stay. We were 4 adults, a 3 year old and a 6 month old. We went self catering. The reception staff were excellent. The hotel was spotless. Our rooms were a good size with a bedroom kitchenette lounge and a large shower room. Also, a large blacony. The pools were also super clean. Plenty for the kids to do. It was only a 5 minute walk I to Palmanova where there is an abundance of restaurants and shops. Also the beaches were so clean. The entertainment in the hotel was good, we did find the mini disco was on a bit late at 8pm. But the Aquaerobics was great fun, and the bouncy dome and kids pool area was well used by our 3 year old. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families as it has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. The only gripe is the pool is only open 10-6, and the rush for sunbeds was also ridiculous because they cordon off the area at night, so in the mornings there is a huge queue ready for the rush.😡 but we loved the hotel❤️😎🏖
Just returned from a 7 night stay, we had a great time. The hotel is spotless, and perfect for a family with young kids. The pool was amazing, it was slightly heated. Ice creams on tap from the bar during the day which was great.
The food was brilliant, we had something nice to eat most nights and the soft play in the restaurant was a treat for the older kids. The only negative is the queuing for the buffet, I don't understand it when you are queuing behind people trying to get soup if you don't want soup. Then as a mum who had two young kids, and myself to get food for I had to stand in the queue twice and it could be very long at busy dinner times. The cocktails are so lovely from the main bar.
The kids club - I went in here sometimes with my 4 year old as she liked to do the crafts. I would say I wouldn't personally put her in on her own as I found some of the women in the team a bit abrupt with the kids and not warm to the children. The mini disco was a little bit boring for my little girl, she normally loves them but this one lost her attention. The park here is brilliant for the kids.
The shows at night are all terrible, they do some activities in doors for the children.
Excellent hotel would highly recommended
Just returned from 5 nights stay at ZafiroPalmanover hotel, our son & family were there for 10 nights with grandchildren. What a fabulous family friendly hotel, wonderful food, spotless clean, brilliant rooms & great pool area for children with slides, The staff are so friendly, helpful & welcoming, a Soecial mention to Elicio Barajas, our waiter in restaurant, who went above & beyond to be so helpful, always smiling & very friendly, would definitely recommend & return to this hotel
My family had a wonderful holiday here, great location, hotel is amazing, fresh and has a nice atmosphere. We booked a one bedroom family room. My 2 children (9&12) had the sofa bed which splits in two, so they didn't have to share a bed and the main bed was spacious and comfy. Air con was available in the rooms, just remember to close the patio doors😉. There was lots of choice at meal times, no complaints and branded drinks . The wristbands where a great idea to order food, drinks and access your room. Three pools, one is heated which is good in the mornings. There is a nice playground, it could just do with a bit more shade. Lovely staff, very helpful and the hotel is very clean and of a high standard. Would recommend, definitely booking with Zafiro again...
We stayed for 5 nights in May half term, family of 4 with 2 children 7 and 11. Welcome at the hotel was good and the rooms were very nice (pool view suite on reception level). Nice beds and sofa bed with facilities and a huge wetroom bathroom.
Lifeguards very attentive and polite aswell as majority of staff who were very good. No sunbed wars as pool opens at 10 and majority closed off until 945ish, could always get beds. The pools were very good and children loved the slides and park.
Buffet I would say was OK but not great for a 4 star, repetitive and some of the variety of food and quality not as other 4 and 5 stars but still OK. The ala carte was extremely poor. Located next to buffet restaraunt outside in a small area, food took a very long time and I would say the buffet food was alot better anyway.
Some of the childrens staff were not very animated at times, also activities etc wernt made clear alot of the time, seemed to be very lowkey compared to other resorts.
Drinks were a bit of a let down, some basic cocktails like Aperol Spritz were not nice and some staff did not know how to make them properly. Cocktails were alot better at similar resorts. Table service at entertainment time was sparse and infrequent, queues and bar service were therefore slow if you had to go up yourself.
Entertainment was good on some nights, but some nights the sound system wasnt working properly which impacted the performers.
My wife also fell by one of the pools due to unlevel ground, we saw numerous other people falling at the same spot by the auiet pool, hotel needs to address this.
Overall a good stay but we feel for a four star there is room for alot of improvement across the board.
