Recently returned from a 9 night stay with my husband. This hotel deserves the 5 star rating and its staff go out of their way to make your holiday special. Excellent location, just a short 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Hotel staff work tirelessly to keep the place beautifully clean and the bedroom suites are spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. The balcony on our room created a relaxing place to chill out with a book or a drink. The main Dining Room served a beautiful selection of food and we really enjoyed the outdoor space for dining. A quiet hotel with very little noise from the surrounding roads at night. It’s a pricey hotel but well worth the expense. We will definitely return at a later date and have no hesitation to recommend to family and friends. Particularly enjoyed relaxing in the adult only area on the comfortable beds and a swim in the oasis pool.
We visited Zafiro Palmanova early May, and while the weather was a little hit and miss, when it was sunny it was warm and just perfect. We had a fab stay, all inclusive with Jet2, and stayed in the penthouse suite with a hot tub on the top floor. The room was brilliant, more than enough space for our family (2 adults, 4 y/o and 10 month old) and very clean. The bed was super comfy and a queen. The pirate splash pool was great, but not very warm! The only warm one was only just bearable enough in the warm sun, so bring wetsuit style cossies for kids just in case. The food was brilliant, can’t fault any of it. Loads of selection at every meal time, and different themes. Really good at catering for fussy kids! There is a little softplay just outside of the dining room- a blessing and a curse! We couldn’t get our little boy out of there BUT that was helpful to give his tired parents some time to eat in semi-peace! The evening entertainment was great, my little ones were engrossed every evening! The beach was super close, less than a 10 min walk with a buggy! Clean water and beach!
The staff were especially brilliant! Really accommodating, and all very kind and patient (especially with a young family like us!) and a special mention to the wonderful Rosealba who we came across in the restaurant, sweeping up the mess our baby made!! She couldn’t speak English but we managed to understand that she was a big lover of children and she took a shine to our baby daughter! She was lovely, and so so sweet to us! We gave her a cheeky tip in the end as she made us feel so welcome! So if you happen to come across her, lucky you!!
I’ve said to my husband at least 4/5 times that we need to come back next year and would recommend to everyone!
Pros:
- brilliant food options (all inclusive)
- very family centred, super helpful and kind staff
- great drinks options
- good rooms and very clean, along with all public areas
- good kids playground
- super close to the beach!
Cons:
- chilly pools, but understandably they don’t usually need to heat them in peak season!
- chaotic dining room with loads of families! We are one of those families but I do not recommend this hotel to couples / people travelling without kids if you’re not a patient person! It’s wild and I felt for those that clearly disliked the amount of children there
Nice hotel, short walk to the beach and shops. Food is nice, rooms are good with everything you need. It’s a family hotel and we appreciate that but it’s missing having any adults only area. Every pool including the indoor has kids in. Oh and there is no decaf options anywhere so bring your own if needed.
This is the 2nd time we have visited the hotel and it also goes above and beyond, the rooms are spotless the facilities are fab! We go self catering so can’t comment on the food but the location is a few minutes from the beach and some amazing restaurants! We have booked to come back next year for our 3rd visit and are now counting the days down! Amazing for families
Full of noisy kids. Running up and down the corridors screaming. The restaurant is like a noisy cafeteria. Again - noisy kids.
Everywhere is nicely presented. Sunbeds very close together.
Rooms are spacious. Shower is good.
Toiletries - poor selection. Just shower gel and shampoo and soap.
Bathroom towels were very poor - rotten and many frayed and with holes in. Not what I expect at a good quality hotel.
Pool towels good.
The breakfasts were excellent. A lot of choice of fresh fruits and cooked foods. Something for everyone. I certainly enjoyed the poached eggs, smoked salmon and fresh fruits. Reception told us breakfast opened at 715 but it didn’t open until 730. This is too late for early morning people. There is no coffee machine in the room. We were playing tennis at 8am - it was too much of a rush.
The TV was poor - “snowy” poor reception and very limited English channels.
Kitchenette was well-equipped
Balcony was overlooking the car park and bins. Very noisy early mornings with bin collections and beer deliveries.
No cleaning service in rooms on Wednesday or Sunday
Receptionists all lovely and helpful. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, but we were telephoned as soon as it was.
The Spa massage prices are very expensive €100 for an hour.
Tip - if you need a taxi back to the airport, book it in advance - we couldn’t get one and had to take an uber which was double the cost. The receptionist also tried for us by phone and online and got no response.
Only a 7 minute walk to the beach and a nice resort.
Umbrellas were available for guests’ use - situated by the front door to help yourself.
Bicycle hire was available at €6 per day.
Would I stay here again? I would visit for the tennis holiday but would not stay at this hotel. I need an adults-only hotel which is quieter. I did not get sufficiently good sleep quality due to noisy neighbouring rooms and early deliveries.
Stayed at the Zafiro Palmanova for 1 week for my wedding in Mallorca. Stayed here with a lot of my family & friends think we had about 15 rooms so they upgraded my family for free!
The hotel is excellent, rooms are lovely, we had a swim up pool, lifeguards are great - saw them dive in the pool twice to help kids which was great to see they were actually working! Drinks good - cocktails were OK, think they were pre-made.
Food was ok. My kids loved the variety of food, I preferred to go out for meals as there are so many lovely restaurants nearby. Kids loved the pasta/ice cream, pancakes etc.
The staff were lovely, gave us an extra room to get ready in on the morning of our wedding. Great location as well just across the road from steps which lead you to the beach.
Overall great holiday - full family was happy, no1 had a complaint which is suprising in a group of 30+ and looking forward to returning!
We had the most amazing first family holiday with our baby in the Zafiro Palmanova. We had an issue with our baby’s passport so ended up arriving five days later than planned. We were treated to a surprise upgrade which just made our trip so special. The reception staff, lifeguards were all so friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel and will be returning soon.
Nothing
Absolutely unbelievable hotel, staff are brill, hotel is spotless, even went to the extent of putting a bottle of champagne im the room for my mums birthday! The penthouse suite is defo one to try!
Food was brill as well! Overall quality hotel defo be back
Great location with easy access to the beach, shops and restaurants. Hotel is not too big and the staff are all wonderful, shout out to Emma who greeted us in the dining room with such a lovely smile emery day and to Africa who was so warm and friendly. Ali in the bar always made us laugh. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. We were AI and the food was lovely and enjoyed the option of ordering from the menu at lunch time rather than eating from the buffet. We had an apartment with a hot tub on the roof terrace and this was bliss there was a Balinese bed, table and chairs and a sofa also. We visited the spa area which had a steam room, sauna and spa pool which was a lovely area to treat your self and relax. This is a family hotel and the entertainment was centred round the children but this did not bother us travelling as a couple. I would definitely return again and would like to thank all the staff that dealt with us for making our stay so enjoyable.
Rooms are clean, the hall can be noisy, but we didnt experience much noise. Great all in service, cocktails with A labels. Good food, everyday different food, not a lot of choice but what they serve is good! Fine location close to the sea and boulevard. Beds were saggy, but we havent complained about it. We were very happy 2 swimming pools were warmed. So kids could swim even when it was cloudy.
The staff are all friendly, funny and welcoming.
Check-in was a breeze due to online check-in was around 2 minutes tops.
It's currently our 25th wedding anniversary, which the hotel knew.
We've been put into a room with a pretty bad view (a palm tree and a hotel)
But the hotel is loud, constantly air hockey pinging away, and late night drunken karaoke.
This made it difficult to unwind and relax.
This was made more difficult due to the weather being bad and us being in the room for extended times.
We where offered a room change but was warned the noise would probably be the same.
We could upgrade to a hot tub/jacuzzi for an extra €90 a night.
Food is very good, as are the drinks.
Outside area is amazing and the hotel is fantastic for children, though our children are older, we travelled as a couple and can't see how much they are enjoying themselves.
I think I would come back but I would be refusing these kind of rooms.
Just home from a wonderful stay at Zifiro Palmanova. From the moment we arrived we couldn’t believe the friendly and efficient service we experienced 👏
We booked half board and the food/drinks far exceeded our expectations…
The three of us have travelled quite a lot and we all agreed it was up there with the best!
Thanks again 🙏
We had a brilliant stay at Zafiro Palmanova Hotel and would happily return. The food was excellent throughout our stay, always fresh with a varied menu that changed daily. The cocktails and drinks were also very good quality.
The playground and evening entertainment were a hit with our son and kept him happy throughout our stay. It was great to see staff cleaning the playground every morning, small detail that shows good attention to cleanliness and care.
All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming.
The Hotel had a functioning air con system despite the Hotel manager from our previous Hotel informing me that no Hotel in Majorca has their air con system turned on with the current temperatures (refer to my previous review of Hiphotels Mediterraneo Club).
There were two minor areas that could be improved. The bedroom cleaning times could be a little earlier, as one day it clashed with our toddler’s nap and we had to skip our room being cleaned. Also, I requested an iron on two separate occasions but unfortunately never received one.
All in all, a brilliant stay and we’d love to come back.
An excellent hotel for what we needed, the room had all the facilities we needed, a pool view room, self catering, excellent shower room with double sink, housekeeping was excellent with bed made and towels changed 5 out of our 7 days there. Only ate in the hotel once as we food the food choices not to our liking but within a 5 min walk you have a great choice of pavement restaurants and cafes, too many to choose from, the beach was a short 5 min walk away.. Directly opposite the front door of the hotel and across the street there are steps that take you down to the promenade/beach. There are a great selection of pools at the hotel to cater for young and not so young although we found in April the water was quite cold in them all except for one, no shortage of sunbeds and with the pools not opening until 10am there was no mad rush unlike some resorts. Entertainment for the kids was not bad at night and the pirate ship in the pool was busy all day as was the wee playpark beside it, a good family hotel, we enjoyed.
Fantastic hotel with great facilities and spotlessly clean. Spacious rooms, pool areas had ample sunbeds. Restaurant had lots of choice and food was always delicious and fresh. Location of hotel is great as it is a short stroll to beach and nearby restaurants and bars.
3 women looking for pure relaxation in a beautiful hotel.
Location was excellent, 5 minutes walk to a stunning white sandy beach and the local shops.
Hotel was immaculate, possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in.. and very beautiful too.
We booked half board and the food was amazing. Delicious.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Downside was the noise in the dining room with babies crying, and excited/tired children shouting. I have children myself (now adults) so I understand the dynamics of taking kids on holiday, but honestly it was verrry loud and the noise echoed because the dining area is very big. Needless to say the hotel is ideal for young families.... lots to do.
Pool areas are expansive so it wasn't difficult to find a quiet area to relax and read.
The hotel is massive with 4 different blocks and over 200 rooms so we had problems finding our room on day one which wasn't fun, especially when you're hauling suitcases in and out of lifts and helping your 83 year old mother who isn't great on her feet. It would have been helpful if we had been taken to the room by staff on arrival and perhaps offered some help with our luggage.
I highly recommend this hotel for young families, but if you're looking for a quiet more ambient atmosphere its not the one!
