Good choice for old town
Pros:

The Steigenberger de Saxe in Dresden couldn’t be better located—right in the heart of the old town on the main square, with views of the iconic Church of Our Lady and the Martin Luther statue just steps away. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, though it faced the interior courtyard rather than the square. Even though the hotel seemed only half full, no upgrade was offered, which was a bit disappointing. We arrived expecting the vibrant, bustling atmosphere I’d experienced at other Steigenberger properties but this hotel felt unusually quiet. Service at the front desk was adequate but not particularly warm or proactive. We didn't purchase breakfast.

Bus tour overnight stay.
Pros:

On a bus tour. Efficient check in with three on desk. Rooms pre booked. Very clean and well maintained. Scaffolding at front bu made no difference. Breakfast we'll stocked and good selection.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city -- smack on the main square
Pros:

The hotel is literally right on the main square in Dresden, which is not really clear in the address. Excellent staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, superb breakfast -- really should be a four-star hotel. My travel companion needed to get a taxi to get us to the train station because of an injury, and they were spot on helping us get one and making sure we got it the morning of our departure. Really top-notch staff, in particular -- many kudos!

Wonderful Hotel
Pros:

1- Fast check-in / check-out
2- Reception staff were friendly and supportive.
3- The location of the hotel, since it's in the city center and surrounded by restaurants.
4- Comfortable bed and clean room
5- The air-condition is good.
6- The high-speed Wifi.
7- The parking under the hotel good and clean.
8- Breakfast buffet was good.

Disliked, In the parking area, there are only stairs, which makes it difficult to carry luggage up and there is no easier pathway available to reach the elevator.

This is a beautiful hotel with an ideal location in the old town. Hotel staff were great. We loved using the bicycles they keep to go for a nice rude along the Elbe River.

The hotel is right in the center of attraction. Everything is so close that you hardly get tired of walking. The hotel itself is full of comfort & experience. The room was good, shower was excellent. The staff were very helpful & polite. Great

We were only here one night, nice location in a plaza. Staff at the front desk were sooooo nice. We spent a couple hours at the bar, it was quiet. I would recommend.

Surprised this hotel rates so well.
Pros:

Maybe because we just came from an excellent hotel in Leipzig, and I had high hopes, but I was very disappointed with this hotel. Room was supposed to be "superior" but it was dark (poor lighting, small window and dismal colors used for decorating) with a terrible view, sheets were scratchy, lobby has no character, and desk clerk was rude at checkout. It did have an amazing location, but I would rather walk a few blocks and have a great room. Will NOT stay here again.
