Like coming home!!!!
Pros:

I have stayed at Insotel Punta Prima on 8 or 9 other occasions and we returned again in October 2025. This may just say it all, but it doesn't. Every time I have been there it has been magnificent. I now travel with just my husband and we enjoy it every time. This visit was no different. We are hoping to return again later this year. The hotel almost feels like coming home now, and I was delighted to see some familiar faces among the staff. I wish I had asked their names to give them a shout out, and that familiarity is part of the reason it feels like home. Everything is always perfect for us, we enjoy the whole experience. The only thing that I have found is not a big deal but I have noted others have commented on this too is that if you don't have children with you it would be nice for the pool at the top of the hill to be adults only. The children have so many areas and pools to use but the quiet holidaymakers sometimes just want the peace. Other highlights are plenty of choice of food and beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, I could go on..... We will be back again this year. See you all soon.

Lovely hotel, great food and kind staff
Pros:

We had a great experience at the Insotel hotel, the staff are lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean.
The hotel is really well set up for little ones with multiple play areas and children’s pools. We took our 15 month baby with us who had a great time and the staff were so lovely with him.

The food is fantastic with lots of choice.

The only two negatives were that the swimming pools were freezing in October and so our son got very cold trying to paddle in the splash pool and never got in any of the other pools.
Our baby also has a dairy intolerance and sometimes food wasn’t labelled at the buffet, the waiters and kitchen staff weren’t always hundred percent on what had dairy in it so we had to be super careful and would often stick with very plain foods for him. Chef Alex was fantastic and we learnt quickly to ask him to find out what he could eat and he would offer to make food specially for our son which was so kind.

We would definitely return to this hotel it was a lovely holiday.

Overall very nice, I would recommend.
Pros:

We had a very nice time at the resort. Staff were great, food was lovely.
Very clean.
My only issue was the pools were so cold. With all the sun you would think they could heat the pools a little with solar panels. Quite a few people were moaning about how cold the pools were.

Good out of season experience
Pros:

Very honest review taking into consideration it was end of season. First point to make is if you can either book a private transfer or be the first off the coach to check in as it's very slow.Lucky I knew this and was second in line however it still took roughly 20mins to check in.
Thankfully our room was ready and we managed to settle in quickly.
Room was on the ground floor and had a decent view. The rooms our spacious however quite dated and do need an upgrade. There is no sofa bed but they make the couch up if needed. I think they need to look into this as if a child soils themselves i dont think the beds are equipped for such. I would also say this is not suitable for older kids. There is a kettle and cooker with some basic cooking utensils if you wish to cook. The fridge is a good size and has a freezer.
Wifi is really poor and unstable
Bathrooms have a bath and shower however the shower is on the small side.
The room has a double bed and was quite spacious there is also ample storage space. The tv in the room seemed to control the tv in the living room not sure if this is the norm or a glitch.
If you have mobility issues this is probably not the place for you. They do have ramps however at times you have to go the longest way round. There is also a very high hill.
Entertainment during the day non existant they could at least play music by the pool with a little energy. Evening entertainment was ok only thing letting it down was the pillar which I know is structural and can obstruct your view of the stage.

Pool bar has lots of bees and tbh very off putting as does the restaurant outside . The disappointment comes from the size of the cups as they are extremely small.
All pools were cold however the pool by the sea was the warmest they did have an heated indoor pool which was nice. It could however do with a lil changing room as people using the toilet to change is not ideal. The timing was also limited for people with families aka children.

Staff are friendly and helpful they interact and make you feel welcome.

Restaurant is hit and miss in terms of the temperature of food however you will find something to eat. The have a little kids corner however I found the food is barely replenished. Drinks come in glass bottle and if you request for wine they also bring the whole bottle. Im not sure what they do with bottles that are hardly drank from that would be my only issue.

Toilets are very far from the pool especially if your over in the baby pool.
Timing for food is slightly off. Dinner should end a little later and not start so early
Breakfast starts late 8am first I've seen however if you inform them you have early flight they provided continental breakfast.
Even the disco starts at 8 then a gap before entertainment starts usually it's 8.30 disco entertainment 9. I think the timing should be looked into.

Overall hotel is nice however I would hate to visit in peak season.

Half term break 🔥
Pros:

Stayed here for a week.
The hotel on arrival I thought was stunning, especially its surroundings. We had a sufficient check in.
Our room was perfect, lots of storage, clean, super comfy beds, great balcony view and all the extras we needed.
The whole resort was stunning, lots to offer, pools were very inviting, bar areas offered fabulous drinks and food too.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they work so hard.
I actually didn’t feel like I was in Menorca as the hotel had such a Caribbean vibe.
The mountain bikes were such a nice touch, my boys loved them!
I absolutely would recommend this hotel and would return.
Thank you for helping us to relax and unwind.
Just beautiful 😎☀️

Lovely hotel, great facilities and lovely staff
Pros:

This is our second time at this hotel and it was just as good as the first. Lovely location, easy and quick transfer from the airport, which is always a bonus. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food is of a high standard and the dining staff are very polite and helpful. Special thanks to Antonio and Jordan, who were both great.
The evening entertainment was good, even though it was the last week of the season. There are plenty of things to do durig the day. The new splash park is fun. If you want to get out for the day there are plenty of walks bothways to small towns or beaches. There is a bus to Mahon right outside the hotel and also a road train to Binibeca and other beaches. All in all, a great place for a lovely holiday.

Pros:

Amazing resort with great staff. We went with our 1 year old who loved it. Perfect for those with a young family. Must go to Binibecker Beach which is 20mins ride from the land train that collects you outside the hotel.

Be aware of the showers can be dangerous.
Pros:

I and my family stayed at the isotel punta prima resort from the 10th to the 18th of October 2025. I was there with my family and was there about 5 days when we had a burst pipe in our apartment so that happened late in the day so we were moved to identical apartment. As it was late in day we were getting ready for dinner and so I said to my wife I going to have a shower .so I was taking a shower for a few minutes and decided to wash my hair as I am over 6ft the shower head was close to my head, so i stepped back and applied some shampoo and then went to rinse my hair and as I stepped forward for no apparent reason the water temperature went sky high and scalded my head, as a reaction to the shock of the hot water I stepped back and fell backwards through the shower door and hitting my head on the corner of the wall , as I was lying on the floor I roared in pain because my head and neck snap forward to my chest .For a moment I could not feel my arms , my wife came in saw all the blood and had to run and get my family for help. I was in so much pain so I taken by ambulance to hospital where I had a cat scan which thankfully came back ok , the doctor said I had concussion and had to glue my head and had to wear a neck brace. I was allowed to return to the resort about 2 in the morning with painkillers. The next day the resort sent a maintenance man to our apartment to check the shower , he could not speak English but he did sometimes thermostats stick. I never saw the tui rep until the next day for all 2 minutes, I had the next 5 days ruined by this event I was struggling to everything. eating washing ,sleeping the worst holiday I have had , my point is the front of my head had scald Mark on the front of my head from the hot water, that have been a small child being burnt by the temperature of that shower, our holiday was ruined and I very been home 2 weeks now and I am still taking painkillers and wearing the neck collar be careful with those showers

Great place for a relaxing holiday or more!
Pros:

I have been to this resort before & I love it there. Good food, friendly staff, very clean. I have only one complaint & that is I think it needs a quieter bar area so if you are with a big group you have somewhere you can sit & chat, play cards etc

Holiday from hell
Pros:

If you ain't got kids, avoid like the plague. We hadn't actually booked this hotel, our original booking was for an adults only hotel. A few weeks before our holidays, tui advised us that our original hotel was closing earlier than expected. Surely tui would have had a contract with them. We did have choices, cancel, rebook or take the alternative, due to circumstances, we had to take the alternative. I can't believe that on the whole island of menorca that there wasn't a suitable alternative for four 70+ guests who had booked an adults only hotel. The hotel we've been put into, all be it an upgrade, is hell on earth. Accommodation, location and staff superb, and that's the end of the good points. Food atrocious, restaurant reminiscent of a factory canteen, under, over cooked food, same day after day. Drinks horrendous, beers which go flat as soon as you pour them, cocktails which ain't been near a shaker, some sort of syrupy mixture with a splash of alcohol. Absolutely no where to get a bit of peace and quiet. As for the entertainment in the evening, avoid unless you have kids. The PA system is abysmal, you can't understand a word spoken. The entertainment staff give a 150%,but with the dodgy pa and various languages they need to speak, makes for a long night. The cleaning staff are fantastic, and put a hell of a shift in. Food is, at the best, crap. Undercooked, raw meat and not a lot of variety. Won't ever be booking with tui again, very, very disappointed

A great enjoyable holiday at punta prima menorca ,
Pros:

This complex is very good , brilliant for family’s , I choose this holiday last year for our wedding anniversary and was not disappointed, from arriving the reception staff so helpful and making sure all goes smoothly for your stay , nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff , the waiters are so friendly. Food was very nice and plenty to choose from only down side it’s not hot and only lukewarm, yes there is a microwave but that’s not always nice to do . Drinks was really nice all brands for your choice. The swimming pools are really good . Rooms are nice and big and very clean and cleaners so obliging and help with any requests, the bathrooms do need updating but still very clean , so I would definitely go back and I would recommend 💯 thank you for a lovely enjoyable stay . Great holiday!
Pros:

Grest pools however they should make the top pool all exclusive to adults as there are many many pools for children etc. Staff were exemplorary and a credit to the gotel. They clearly get top marks for training staff. We had a fantastic first few days then sadly (am i allowed to say!) It went downhill, as travelling in a couple, it went from zero children to trilliins of children, must have been half term around europe somewhere, dont get me wrong , i love kids but the restaurants suddenly turned into school canteens. However in no way can i say we were not treated well at all times. This was probably a stand out resort for me but unless they changed some areas into adult only i dont think i would return.
Cleaning of the rooms was impeccaple, 5* for them.

Nice complex set in a quiet village location.
Pros:

Really nice spacious complex but not without faults. It's situated on a steep incline and our apartment was right at top. If you have mobility issues then ask for bottom of resort.
Bus and ting ting train stops right outside the complex so ideal as Punta Prima is small and quiet with a handful of shops/ restaurants but a very nice beach.
Improvements needed at meal times in main buffet restaurant as can be chaos so would benefit from an adults only section, it's big enough as loads of pre school screaming children. Also apartments need updating as getting tired and dated. As mentioned by others the self service drink dispensers around pool bars are full of wasps . Overall a decent stay A/I for a reasonable price.

I want to live here.
Pros:

It was 9 years since my first visit to Punta Prima. We love it there. It's generally relaxed and peaceful (no constant hum of vehicles). I love the swimming pools, the beach, the pretty gardens and the low level apartments, and the menorcian lizards that scuttle about and the little birds.

Changes
Staff: There are noticeably fewer waiting staff than there used to be. Originally you could just sit down in the bar area, in the evening, and staff would come to you and ask what you wanted and bring it to you. Now there's a lot more people queing around the bar, so they get in the way of people watching the show.
Entertainment: there were lots of entertainment staff. There used to be alot more external entertainment that came to the hotel, which were really good. Now its alot of in house entertainment. They work hard, but some of the shows are a bit confusing. Too adult for little kids. Beauty and the Beast, and Frozen were good, though. Great to see Tanzania and the Abba entertainment are still going there too.
Rooms: all rooms have changed descriptions from standard to Superior rooms. However, they've got rid of the extras that the Superior rooms had, such as slippers, dressing gown, a full fridge on arrival and fruit bowl. They also had little bottles of shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. These have all gone. So they're actually all standard rooms. Even though it's nearly double the price we paid for a Superior Sea view room in the first year. Hopefully, its because the staff are getting a decent wage.
Food: I have recently been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease and found it hard to work out what I could and couldn't eat. They have labels with pictures showing what food has possible allergens in, but it doesn't show it for all the food. After several days of guessing what was okay to eat, and posdibly failing we were advised to speak to Chef Alex. He was very helpful and friendly. He came and told me each meal time what was okay for me to eat. He also offered to make me gluten-free pasta and pizza. I'd also like to thank Frances for managing to get a lovely resh omlette and gluten free pancake made for my breakfast in the Aire restaurant. It was the nicest meal I had there. I really missed being able to eat the lovely fresh bread, pain au chocolates and yummy cakes. Maybe you can work out how to make gluten-free versions of these. They'd be really appreciated.
Excursions: noticeably less excursions and less staff on the them. They used to do one to Fornells and Cala Galdana, which they didn't do this time. My favourite is still the little animal sanctuary, followed by Son Bou beach. We miss you Menorca. Thanks for all the lovely memories.

Definitely coming back…
Pros:

We had a wonderful time here. The Hotel is well maintained by friendly staff who are always willing to help. The welcome was seamless and the room was clean, spacious and we had a good nights sleep every night. The room was cleaned every day with new towels and sheets.
The food served at the Buffet Restaurant was of a high standard and there was plenty of it. All tastes were catered for. Even a Vegan like myself had no issues.
The pools are clean and inviting, with plenty of sun beds for all.
We didn’t use the Spa, so can’t comment but it did look nice.
Visiting the main town, Mahon, is easy either by Bus (€2.50) or Taxi (€15) and well worth checking out.
All in all this was a place we intend coming back to. 2 hours away, good for, nice people, what’s not to like…

Good holiday
Pros:

It was a lovely week away. The hotel staff were friendly. We had problems with our room but we went to a lady who sits the reception and she sorted everything and the hotel manager gave us an upgrade. It was our 40th anniversary and once they knew, we were treated to a meal in the prestigious hotel with a bottle of bubbly and nothing was too much trouble for us. Made us feel really special. If I had to have a moan I would say that the drinks in the main bar area are very weak (maybe watered down) the cleaning in the room was very hit and miss. The beach maybe 300m from the hotel but it would be as the crow flys. Lol. The entertainment is great for all ages. They are all great guys and work very hard.

Lovely stay but not 5*
Pros:

Stayed 10 nights at this hotel. Grounds are very well kept. Beautiful views across the bay to lighthouse.
A la carte restaurants were very good
Apartment was nice and bed comfortable. Unfortunately the sofa bed in the lounge was riddled with ants and consequently we both received several nasty bites after sitting on it.
Food is good and plenty of choices but availability after 8pm is limited.
One evening burgers were on the menu but by the time I’d got my salad and queued for a burger I was told there were none left so I walked into the middle dining room and saw several burgers on the grill and asked one of the chefs if I could have one, to be told “no finished” and he started shovelling chips into his mouth with his hands so I asked who those burgers were for and he just shrugged his shoulders and kept eating the chips! Very disappointed. Apart from that we did enjoy our stay and would return
