Hotel RH Princesa

I am extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel and would not return.

From the moment we arrived, we did not feel welcomed. As people of colour, the attitude from staff was noticeably cold and dismissive, particularly at reception and in the restaurant. This was not a one off interaction but a consistent feeling throughout our stay. If you are a person of colour, I genuinely do not believe this is a place where you will feel comfortable or welcome.

The first room we were given had a serious health and safety issue. Every time the shower was used, water flooded the entire bathroom floor and spread around the sink, creating a dangerous slip hazard. This was especially alarming as we were travelling with our autistic toddler. I reported this to reception immediately and asked to be moved, but the response was dismissive and we were told we would have to wait until the next day, despite the obvious risk.

Later that afternoon, I returned to reception with photos clearly showing how unsafe the situation was. Only after showing this evidence were we finally moved to another room. It should never take repeated complaints and proof for a clear safety issue to be taken seriously, especially when a child is involved.

The restaurant staff were consistently unwelcoming and made us feel uncomfortable every time we dined there. The only positive experience we had with staff was Katya from housekeeping. She was genuinely kind, warm, always smiling, and did an excellent job cleaning the room. She was the only staff member who treated us with basic friendliness and respect.

Overall, this hotel completely failed to meet even basic hospitality standards. We left feeling unwelcome, unheard, and uncomfortable. I would strongly advise people of colour to avoid this hotel. Based on our experience, it is not a place where you will feel respected or valued as a guest.

This was my second visit. My first was December 2024 and again I was not disappointed.
From check in I received a room upgrade as well as paying to upgrade to the Gold all inclusive package well worth the 8 euros per day.
Food drink and entertainment were top notch couldn’t falter.
My friend also accompanied me this time on my recommendation and he also had an upgrade room along with purchasing the gold all inclusive upgrade and he also enjoyed his stay.
The only negative I can say is the waiting staff in the bar area weren’t as switched on as last year but this is a slight fault. Which when brought to their attention did try to improve.
I enjoyed my trip so much I’ve rebooked for the same time next year and as a previous travel agent this should show how good a hotel this was

Excellent hotel, very handy for the old town , supermarket , bus stops and a reasonable walk to the tram station. We were given a room overlooking the pool on the 10th floor and it was delightful. The shower was quite powerful and there was always plenty of hot water. The staff took great pride in their work and the hotel was very clean . Every member of the staff we met was friendly and helpful but also great at the job they were doing. I am allergic to a couple of basic foods and they helped me and even offered to buy in specialist foods ! The food was excellent and plenty of choice even for me ,so much so that this is the first time I have ever put weight on while on holiday. Very comfortable beds , sleep quality good. Little noise from the neighbours but not much. rooms well maintained and recently decorated. Excellent value for money will be booking this hotel again. Well managed and welcoming hotel.

It’s not very often that I leave a 5 star review but the RH Princessa warrants it. The views from our room are amazing, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is excellent.

The food is at the top end of what you get in a Spanish hotel and the rooms are great.

Have stayed in Princesa , as a couple , several times between 2013 and january 2020, and always enjoyed it here.
This time travelling as a single, and still in hotel.
The single room, for which I had to pay a supplement, is not up to the standard I would expect from a 4star hotel. Situated at back of hotel with no balcony and no sun at this time of year, window has no curtains , only a roller blind. room is narrow with bed right against wall, only a shelf under window, which has a small not very good TV on it. The only chair in room is hard plastic and not comfortable to sit on. Overall a disappointing room, hence only 3star rating.
Food , service and staff are still up to a good standard and location of hotel is good for me being handy to beach and old town.
Would I stay here again? No, not in a single room.
Do not like the wrist bands now given for room key, very annoying to have to wear 24/7 especially when in shower or in bed. Thankfully got changed back to keycard.

We’ve had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We mainly interacted with the reception staff and entertainment team who always make us feel valued as guests.
Since our last stay in August, the hotel in maintaining its high standards has invested in new tables and chairs in the restaurant area and pleasingly has improved on its sustainability by changing the wristbands and key cards to reduce plastic waste. The cleanliness of the hotel continues to be faultless.
The entertainment at night and activities during the day are really good. The hotel has a wide age range of guests staying and to find acts that can appeal to all must be a challenge but they achieve a good balance; keeping the outside area and mini club open at night for children so that they are entertained if not watching the main acts is a plus!
The outside facilities are excellent for younger children, and Luca especially from animación is great at engaging with them so they have fun on their holiday which is appreciated. It can be seen that he applies the same effort interacting with the adult guests too so they feel welcomed and enjoy their stay. He is a valuable asset for the hotel, representing it extremely well and he really did make the difference for us compared to other hotels we visit, thank you!

Another great stay at this hotel, spacious rooms, fab shower, complimentary water on arrival. The food in the restaurant was good with a varied choice, table service for drinks, very friendly staff. They are trialing a new wrist band which is your room key and can be used to add drinks to be paid for at the end of your visit. We found this system really good. We will certainly revisit next year.

We generally stay in another of the RH Hotels and always enjoyed our stay but this hotel is no where near as good. Food was just average most evenings and a couple of nights was poor and we went out to eat. I would not come back here but will go back to Corona Del Mar

Third time staying here staff professional and friendly very clean hotel . Food good drinks reasonable price as only on half board .

If you are over 60 book direct with hotel for free water and wine overnight a lovely touch.

Only downside it the entertainment has gone downhill and a bloody cartel of line dancing every bloody night taking over the dance floor which is run by a bald headed man who thinks he owns the dance floor is just draining. Worst of all the entertainment and staff continues to play the same songs every night for him.

For this reason only we most probably won't be back even though everything else fits our needs.

We stayed here for a week with friends. We have all travelled extensively in Europe and we all can honestly say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean in all areas; room very comfortable with good quality toiletries in the bathroom. We stayed half board which suited our needs - the buffet selection for breakfast and evening meal was first class!!
The hotel was well placed for the strip as well as the old town ( which is charming) There is also an excellent public transport system which enabled us to visit Altea & Denia which are both beautiful 🤩
We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Benidorm !

Been to RH princesa year after year..recommend to friends & family. Our stay this week we have noticed how much the standard has dropped..Restaurant food is more like a snack bar..pizza pasta chips & cold veg for evening meals..rude waiters dirty floors.. rooms beautiful & clean bar staff still amazing..3 star food rating 4 star prices

Good location easy walking distance to old town & new.
The reception staff were lovely and very helpful, we stayed b&b but the cost of snacks was very reasonable.
The only negative is there was always a strong smell of bleach (over powering) and our room on the 16th floor smelt musty.
Overall value for money.

Hi, I arrived on 15 November, for a 2 week stay, AI. I am a 74 widowed lady. I am holidaying alone Unfortunately, I have become ill. Shivers aching coughing, all the usual flu symptoms. I feel so weak l. and am unable to go for dinner. I rang Reception, requesting water and fruit, to be delivered to the room. What an unsympathetic Receptionist. She told me this service is not provided, but would honour it, this once. Up until now, the staff have been wonderful. I am staying for a month, in Jan/Feb. Seriously considering
cancelling, I didn't ask to be ill. Your Receptionist, really upset me, with her attitude.

I visited the RH Princessa from the 1st to the 8th of November and stayed all inclusive. The food is as good as any I have tasted in any hotel, I have been coming to Benidorm for over 30 years sometimes several times a year but, its the first time I've visited this hotel. The hotel is also spotless and the staff work very hard to maintain this and the bar staff are excellent too. We upgraded to gold all inclusive which gives you branded spirits and also branded beer such as Guiness , John Smiths and Stella, however it does not give you everything, we couldn't get Morgans Spice on the gold inclusive deal, it would need to be paid for, im not sure why this is, Morgans Spiced Rum is not a particularly high end drink, infact its a fairly standard one, apart from that, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I am definitely planning to return.

Absolutely brilliant hotel I’m lost for words, it’s run like clockwork, so clean and fresh , brilliant staff , nothing is too much trouble, the food is outstanding everything was superb, I even had a Sunday dinner today , the entertainment is good too , lovely pool area ,just fab ,will definitely be back .

simply excellent upgraded to all inclusive Gold and fully worth it.Food great always a good selection and all staff again excellent Room clean our cleaner was so nice and helpful and beds super comfy.Staff all so nice the bar team work so hard but always friendly and make sure everyone is happy .Entertainment every night sometimes 2 different acts. The location is very good pool area great there is times of the day in shade but you can move around and stay in sun alway got loungers without doing the dash at 10:00 am

Wow, what can I say family of 9 went all inclusive for a week. Great location not far from old town. The staff throughout from reception, bar and restaurant staff were so friendly made you feel really welcome. The hotel is spotless and lovely rooms with an amazing walk in shower, would highly recommend the food and all inclusive drinks which were branded, couldn-t fault, will definately come back, thank you for a lovely holiday.

I highly recommend this place for families. It is absolutely spotless, the cleaners and domestic teams need a fab mention as it really is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in on holiday.

Food options were always plentiful and hot. Great choices and theme evenings were a great welcome. Ice cream whippy machine for the kids which went down as a great treat. Welcomed with a smile into the restaurant every evening.

The bar staff are hardworking special shout out to Jorge Luis - Marina - Manuel! Always service with a smile.

The play area is a good run around for the kids. The kids club I feel was a little boring for the younger children, didn't appear to be any activities set up or toys out. Lots of kids seen on the computer games but nothing really with younger kids. I think that would be my only criticism in terms of what the hotel provides. Kids disco was good but quite loud.

We would definitely return. However, when travelling with children we are always so vigilant around water - I would say from what I seen and experienced there was a lax approach around the lifeguards. Seen a few people who required first aid due to cuts, slips and falls, one parent had to go inside to get help from a staff member from the bar when there was a lifeguard present who should of seen the immediate need for help given the situation with the child. There must of been a conversation thereafter as they removed the parasol from blocking the view to the splashpad.

Great week, great hotel, good location, short walk to the beach, fantastic staff. We will be back.

Amazing hotel all round, rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, maids did a great job, cleaned every day. Food was lovely, looked forward to it every day, we went half board but would go all inclusive next time, always got a table immediately and never queued for anymore than a few minutes, staff were very sociable and friendly my 2 year old grandson loved a high five with them all in the restaurant which was one of the cleanest and most stunning restaurants I’ve been in. So much to do for the kids, mine loved the soft play, trampolines and mini golf all free of charge, mini disco was great for the kids, short but just enough as the kids can get bored when it drags on, we also loved the main entertainment, and the entertainment they put on for Halloween night was brilliant, along with the decor, the staff dressed up too and interacted with all the kids and adults, great entertainment, pools were good too, cold this time of the year but my kids didn’t care they were in them splashing and diving about loving it, the little splash park is a great asset for smaller children and I found the pool areas to be very safe with imitation grass area around them. Great location for both the old and new town, we preferred the old town and went there often, not much more I can say but well done to all staff and management for the running and upkeep of an excellent place to stay while in Benidorm you make a great team and my family and I will definitely be back 🤗☀️

Brilliant hotel. Spotless. Food was amazing. Staff were very attentive. Pool area clean and safe. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied.
My brother was in a single room which was a bit grim and at the back but the hotel supplied a treat in the room every day.
