Well maintained and great location
Beautiful foyer
Elevator kept breaking
Location
Elevator broken hall and stairs smelled like pee
Exceeded my expectations. Love that their is a kitchen, separate bedroom and living area. Everything was really clean. It was nice all around.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Customer service was good and the area was great. Very close proximity to nearly everything that was in the weekend plans. I loved the digital hotel room key and the convenience it was.
Upon arrival, it was some leaking ceilings so it made me slightly nervous about my stay. Ideally for the price I was expecting my room to be slightly bigger than what it was. I booked a king suite with a balcony, however, very big rats were spotted from the 5th floor balcony. Made the stay slightly uncomfortable but because we were so tired and traveling all day we opted to stay and just ride things out and make the best out of it.
The area. The staff is super friendly also. Matthew was literally the best
Shower pressure is kind weak but besides that no complaints
Location and staff.
Could not check in until after 4pm.
Diamond Member Review – Extremely Disappointing Stay
Let me start by saying I’ve been a Hilton Diamond member for years and travel weekly all over the United States. I frequently leave positive reviews for properties that deliver good service, and I have never left a negative review for a Hilton — until now. Please read and beware: this property is genuinely horrible.
Front Desk & Staff
The staff at the front desk were consistently unprofessional. When I arrived, the soap bottles in my room were completely empty. I called the front desk multiple times with no answer. Eventually, I walked downstairs and heard the phone ringing nonstop. No one was at the desk. I had to walk behind the front desk area to find an employee sitting in the back on their phone.
Housekeeping & Room Conditions
There are no ice machines like every other Homewood Suites I stay at. Only two towels were in my room, and housekeeping is practically nonexistent. My room was serviced only twice in nine days — and that was after I specifically asked. I requested service again yesterday and came back to an untouched room. It seems they’re saving money at the guests’ expense.
Amenities & Property Issues
Wednesday is Social Night at all Homewood Suites, but here the kegerator is broken. Buy a new one — unless, of course, this is another cost-cutting tactic.
The elevator on the fourth floor went down twice during my stay, forcing me to use the stairs.
The hallways reek of marijuana.
Overall, this property feels neglected, poorly managed, and focused solely on cutting costs rather than providing the service Hilton loyalists expect and pay for.
Condition of the Hotel
This hotel is extremely outdated and in desperate need of a remodel. It’s worn down, dirty, and far below Hilton standards.
It was so dirty we did not even stay we left. Hope they refund me like they said they would
This place was so dirty everything was nasty.
Very Unfriendly breakfast staff, unaccommodating, apparently did not understand English. Had to wait over 20 minutes for some kind of meat to go along with the eggs. Came out with some kind of breaded chicken filet. Muffins tasted like they had come out of freezer, still cold. The alarm on the waffle maker was going off and after several minutes. Someone finally came out of the kitchen and turned it off. The staff had attitudes and seemed uncaring and stayed in the kitchen the whole time. The hotel seemed like the rooms needed upgrading, furniture was cosmetically needed a facelift.. Worst Homewood suites we have ever stayed in. Outside, the sidewalks were completely covered in leaves making it slick and dangerous.Do better Hilton.
I loved the atmosphere and that lobby was very cozy looking and inviting 😌
Next time could you have scrambled eggs 😌 and some fresh fruit .
I am a long time diamond level Hilton Honors member. I have stayed at 100+ Hilton properties. This is probably the worst Hilton I have encountered. The curb appeal is very good and when you first enter the large lobby and roaring fireplace create a pleasant atmosphere. Outdoor patio and pool area looked very nice. The experience is downhill from this point. There were no baggage carts available for the entirety of our four day stay. The lobby elevators were out of service, and looked quite sketchy with temporary controls mounted to wood 2x4's. The single available elevator was rickey, but serviceable. The common areas are badly in need of an upgrade or at least significant maintenance. Windows were dirty and smeared. Dirty towels piled in hallways. Carpet is rough. The room was okay, excepting the dead roach on the kitchen floor. Windows frames were broken, screens torn or missing. Carpet in the room was newer and generally clean enough. I was pleasantly surprised by strong water pressure in the sixth floor shower. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable (especially compared to some great bedding I have enjoyed at other Hiltons). The breakfast okay, but not as good as at the Hampton we stayed at on the way. Staff was fairly scarce. Young lady at the lobby desk was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast lady snapped at my wife for picking up a biscuit without using the tongs. The location is very convenient. We are frequent visitors to the Raleigh area, and will be looking for other accomodations in the future.
Every flat surface is sticky and gross, the bathroom has a lot of mold, the shower is cracked, the chairs are stained and gross!! I asked the room to be cleaned and was told housekeeping stopped showing up after ICE came to Raleigh!!!!
Don’t let the location fool you, the hotel is absolutely disgusting.
The pool was slimy and unusable, the roof is faulty and leaky because of full gutters (growing trees in them!), mold in the showers, broken door lock allowing homeless in, the mattresses are urinated on and bed bug infested, the kitchen can’t be fixed my maintenance, and some staff are nasty!
Oh yea, I also spotted a roach in the lobby!
Stay AWAY
The location of this hotel was great there's a lot in the area; However, I was not happy with the service during my stay. I was supposed to stay for 3 months for work and cut it short within 3 weeks which seemed like the longest 3 weeks of my life. This hotel needs to be shut down and have major repairs done. The carpet and walls are disgusting, and the bathroom in my room was very nasty. I asked for things at the front desk that should've already been in the room or kept at the front desk and was told to find someone on the floor to help me. I should NOT have to track down housekeeping, and they don't speak any English which was frustrating trying to explain what I needed. The laundry room was dirty; I had to go somewhere else to wash clothes. The halfway working elevator was disgusting; I was stuck inside because doors would not close all the way and was stuck on the 6th floor. There were bugs in the room, and furniture chipping. I do not have a physical key card I use the Hilton App on my phone I was not able to gain entry to the side doors of the building as the doors were not working which did not make me feel safe, as the hotel is surrounded by woods and bushes. I witnessed about 15 vehicles get their cars broken into and personal items thrown all over the parking lot, this is a BIG hotel there should be Security!! If you have a little extra coins do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! This was a horrible stay, and I am a Hilton Diamond Member.
Clean. Very close to Crabtree Mall and easy to access shopping
