No Mattress Topper
Pros:

No place has inner spring mattresses anymore, but this is first Hampton Inn I've experienced that does not provide a topper. I put the comforter over adjoining bed, so I could get some sleep. Pillows sucked, too. Fancy entrance and lobby tells me it was a Hilton,at,one time. Bathroom and shower are good. Hallways and carpets good. AC was a loud LG.

Free overnight street,parking available a couple blocks North,,in a decent neighborhood. I had a rental, so went with it.

Very enjoyable. Pleased with my choice.
Pros:

Many items to select from at breakfast, clean room and bathroom, clearly written confirmation and reminder emails, hotel guest discount at the restaurant, no surprise charges, receptionist able to quickly give me phone numbers for cab companies, short distance from the Amtrak station.

Pros:

It was clean and convenient. Went to Albany for a show at Empire Live. The hotel was across the street. The area was walkable for food and drinks. The breakfast at the hotel was awesome.

All was good.

Pros:

The staff made your hotel!! I never met one who didn’t want to help or go out of their way to please. We were very delighted with our stay!

Cons:

The first night we were put in the wrong room. But the next morning we were switched and it was just right after that!!

Avoid Staying Here
Pros:

I try to stay at Hilton chain hotels because service is usually very good and I want more Honors points. Unfortunately, choosing this Hampton Inn was a mistake. Curtains dont fully close so lights or sirens keep you awake. Angelica at front desk terse from the get go, and wouldn't even pick up the phone just to answer what time breakfast starts. Worst Hampton Inn experience imo
