Pros:

Early check in was appreciated. Emma on the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. The room was full of history and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We have now rebooked for next month.

Cons:

Wooden stirrers for hot drinks in the room instead of spoons

Beautiful grounds at Breadsall Priory
Pros:

Breadsall Priory is a Country Club so do know what you are booking. It has lovely amenities and all that you need in the most beautiful setting. The rooms are comfortable and clean with parking easily available outside your rooms.

Cons:

Have to note this as was a special evening for guests we had invited. The restaurant was hugely disappointing where after having booked a day before for 6 didn't have the table ready , then wanted to seat us at a very small table of 4 although there were many other tables. The waitress was most annoyed the whole night and really was not interested in being there. Wish I had got her name. If we stay there again we won't be eating in the restaurant . A shame as we were with locals who all said they wouldn't be either. Their breakfasts were basic and a lot of the food was cold.

I had a lovely time, beautiful surroundings
Pros:

Love the space, felt relaxing , quiet , pretty

Cons:

Room service by other guests is very disturbing. A way to solve the probably would be maybe to say if u order room service the person comes into the room instead of talking loudly in the corridor waking up the whole floor

Released so much tension and stress relieving. The spa fscilities olen to all guests and good hours. The hot tub, steam/sauna and pool was available to all.guests to use and the temperature was so nice! Overall very therapuatic!

Cons:

Maybe not accessible to all as has many steps. No lifts to rooms. Also, menu is not for everyones needs. Can order some food or go out to eat.

Room allocations and evening catering are not responsive to the needs of the guest.
Pros:

Location is good, beautiful setting. The quality of the food was good, providing you have pre-booked a time in the restaurant. Breakfast was reasonable.

Cons:

I was given a room at the point in the hotel furthest away from the reception and restaurant. There is a complicated system of stairs up and down and long corridors to get anywhere. There are no lifts. I asked why was I put at the most inconvenient place in the hotel. They said it was to put me close to the golf course, but they had not asked whether I would be playing golf (I was not). I told them they should ask about the purpose on my visit at the time of booking or at check-in and try to find a suitable room location depending on what I would be doing. They had not thought of this. I also found that the only meal service after 5.00pm is by pre-booking a table in the restaurant. I just wanted a light meal at around 7.00pm but that was impossible. Finally the television in my room did not work.

Wonderful, highly recommend
Pros:

Everything is just great.

The staff are wonderful and helpful.
There was free hot chocolate, water and snacks at reception.
The room is clean, spacious, has everything you need and amazing views.
The nature trail is so peaceful, we saw ducklings, there were waterfalls and it’s obviously well maintained.
The food in the restaurant is great, amazing breakfast.
Generous check in/out times.
No restrictions on use of pool and facilities as long as it’s within safety regulations (headcount). Leisure staff and great.
Amazing history of the building and the team is very knowledgeable and happy to share.

Love it.

Cons:

Service is a little inconsistent in the restaurant, but the staff do their best and are always really lovely.

Some rooms may not be accessible to all as there are stairs and corridors, but this was not an issue for us.

Not great
Pros:

Great outdoor location.
Nice friendly staff on reception.
Interesting history.
Good breakfast large selection.

Cons:

Unfortunately the walk to the rooms are very rabbit warren. No charm or welcoming features in the rooms as we booked 3 rooms all very bland.
The swimming pool was not great as was the rest of the facility it needs a good clean and TLC.
The food restaurant was well below par and given the price unacceptable.
