Pros:

Ein nettes Pub Feeling. Hatten gerade die WM und ein England Spiel erlebt, das war super!. Frühstück war typisch Englisch Breakfast, was am Anfang unserer Reise ein guter Start war.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind jedoch sehr sehr klein und weil man in einem der Zimmer das Fenster nur 8-10 cm aufmachen konnte, sehr heiß.

Pros:

All very good breakfast and evening meal lovely
Loved the atmosphere of the Pub
We were in the room downstairs adjoining the Pub which was excellent when you have a dog and so convenient to walk out with him!
Bowleaze Room……
Would want to stay in that room again!

The room was excellent and the food horrible.
Pros:

My room was excellent. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and nice. They couldn’t do enough for me.

Cons:

Breakfast was edible. The first night of my stay I had dinner in the restaurant. I chose two meals off the special’s board which they didn’t have. I finally went with a ploughman’s. It came with processed cheese. Six slices of French bread with no butter and was so stale I could not eat it. There were pickled onions, pickled cabbage, pickled beetroot and Ploughman’s pickle. A lot of pickle. A very small salad with no dressing except salad cream. Very Very Poor. 😩

Very nice BUT too hot.
Pros:

Breakfast was good and freshly prepared & cooked.

Cons:

The room was unbearably hot. I appreciate that the weather was exceptional in terms heat but there was no way to have any air move out of the room. The corridor was also too hot. I realise that this is an old building but I think they must try and find a way to free up the existing windows to allow air to circulate. We took our own fan but even with 2 fans we found it unbearable.
Which is a shame because the room was well decorated and very clean offering everything you could want. It was just the heat.

Satisfactory stay in good location
Pros:

Parents in law staying at Bowleaze so easy walk and great position for getting to beach etc bedroom well presented if petite!

Cons:

On the second day breakfast was not great. Cold coffee and no intention of replacing it, slow to take order. Staff friendly but very slow. Our room (Bowleaze) was small but well presented but as on ground flood windows open direct to car park with no security when open Sunday lunch was ok but again service poor.

Pros:

Das Pub hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Nettes Personal. Sehr feines Frühstück.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war klein und direkt an der Strasse und sehr laut. Wir wollten auf 20.30 Abendessen und die Küche hat im selben Moment geschlossen. Wer Hunger hat, sollte sich informieren wann die Küche schliesst.

Pros:

Staff friendly and room had everything you needed for your for comfy stay.
We had a veggie breakfast which was tasty.
We had an meal in the evening which was very good and obviously freshly made.

Cons:

The room was small but it was adequate for what we needed

Parking was a nightmare but staff on hand to help us out.

Great stay, would come again.
Pros:

The room was clean and very welcoming. Great food for dinner plus breakfast came with the room price.
Staff were very attentive and friendly.

Cons:

Usual bar noise but quiet after leaving time and road quieter then too. Wouldn’t be great if you want to sleep early.
