Everything was exceptional - Staff, room, breakfast, location.
The toilet had a bit of a smell (but I don't know if it uses recycled water or fresh water). If it uses fresh water, the toilets should not smell.
Not enough extra blankets.
Just do more in the shower...mould in the shower....they must use jik or something else to clean the grout
The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, stunning!
This view must be one of the best views ever for a hotel room.
We saw two whales at about 8.00 in the morning.
The fact that large parts of the sea, rocks, and the large cave was lit at night made it difficult to go to sleep!
This hotel should be a must-visit for locals and foreigners.
The Point Hotel in Mossel Bay has an absolutely spectacular location right on the rugged cliffs. We found ourselves constantly watching the waves and the incredible scenery—it truly feels like nature at its best. As a special bonus, we were even lucky enough to spot whales from the hotel, which made our stay unforgettable.
The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. One feature we especially appreciated was the air conditioning with a heating function. After spending a freezing night at our previous accommodation, walking into a warm and cozy room was an absolute luxury and easily one of the highlights of our stay.
The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, and the entire hotel was spotless. While the building itself is not brand new, it has been exceptionally well maintained and has a welcoming, classic charm.
Nothing worth mentioning. We had a wonderful stay.
Beautiful location and friendly staff, loved it.
Waves crashing on rocks, attentive staff, delicious breakfast, a lounge to relax in.
That I couldn't stay longer
Booked for the view - which it certainly delivered. We felt like we were on the water when we walked into our room (on the 4th floor) and we had the sounds of the waves 24/7.
Aside from the views, and the wonderful location, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful and obliging.
Our only disappointment was that dinner options were limited despite the vast menu but perhaps that was because it is winter and there arent the normal volumes of visitors.
The view was great could not ask for better.
Breakfast was tasty
Welcome drink is a good gesture.
The Hotel might have been a 4 star hotel some years ago but not even close these days. Maybe you should compare other hotels that are situated on the ocean in the area to step it up.
The way breakfast is prepared is very primitive. One would expect a well equipped breakfast preparation station for such a size hotel- not guest standing in a single lane waiting due to one normal kitchen frying pan where preparation is limited.
Front office staff did not look professionally dressed thus the first impressions makes you indeed wonder if you are at a hotel. Even just similar garment colours would them look more professional.
The hotel is old and our 2 bathrooms had mould in the showers under the doors. This is not because of being at the sea, it is simply not cleaned properly. The rest of the showers were fine.
There were blood spots on the duvet cover. Such stained linen should not be put on beds. Being in the hotel industry myself this is a very big no-no.
The oceanview was amazing. Comfortable room. Staff was very friendly. Good breakfast. It was a perfect stay. Will definitely recommend it.
I loved everything.
Nice views, good breakfast
WiFi is terrible, no connectivity
Good location
Everyone was very friendly and hepful. Rooms were spacious and clean with the most beautiful view!!❤️
