We got the night of the reservations mixed up. The little man on the other side of the window, said no tomorrow as he slams the door shut on us. I asked what we were going to reply as I don't care. This wouldn't have been much of a problem normally except that I'm in a wheelchair and no buses were running at 12:30 am. I've stayed at this hotel many many times. I even work downtown, which is why I like to stay there. More times than not the customers are treated rudely and disrespectfully. I just felt it was about time someone spoke up.
The bed was comfortable and I noticed that the mattress had an enclosed mattress protector on it, which was nice to see. The housekeeping staff were accommodating and the light in the front window was nice.
Upon doing a sweep of the room, I tend to just do an extra wipe down. In the bathroom, I found a bloody tooth on the back of the sink sill, the shower curtain had stains (indicative of blood), and the sheets had hair on them plus holes in them. Looked like singe marks but could have also been overwash/bleach. The sheets did smell clean though.
I had to remember that some people use this facility as a long stay, there were cat scratch marks on the desk chair. I didn't smell or see any other pet damage though. I paid about $100 a night and I expect for that price, some cleanliness opportunities but what I encountered was in excess of what I would expect for what I paid.
Regardless, the staff was nice. The lobby does smell of Indian food (not bad) but if you have a sensitivity could be a concern. The housekeeper was really nice to assist me with changing the sheets and the shower curtain during my stay. I'm glad I brought Clorox wipes to further disinfect the bathroom upon finding that tooth.
Location is close to multiple restaurants and locations. There are some unhoused individuals near but nothing that was concerning or that I felt unsafe.
Location & pet friendly
No breakfast, but a very clean, comfortable, motel room with refrigerator. Walking distance to downtown Vancouver Restaurants and Cinema.
Large rooms..Air con & Heat.
Its super local being right downtown
The room had horrible wifi and personal data connection
The location was convenient for visiting family
The room was a little small for all the furniture. The cupboard under the tv didn’t even open all the way because it hit the bed. It was a tight squeeze to walk to the bathroom. The bathroom felt wet the whole 4 day stay, even leaving the fan on 24/7. The towels never dried. We had to go ask for more towels because cleaning never once came while we were there, there wasn’t even a door hanger to request it like other places I’ve stayed. When we went and asked we had to wait 30m for them to find towels. Then they just called us to go get them at the office. The heater turned on and off every few minutes and is loud when on. The bathroom was freezing because it was just a window heater in the front of the room. No matter how high we turned the heat up it never really got warm in the room
Services was very friendly, was pretty quiet considering being downtown Vancouver.
Needed more than one washcloth in room, but not a deal breaker
The room had decent water both hot and cold.
It was quiet.
I didn't like checking in at 2pm. I dont agree with the whole 3pm check in time frame.
