When booking 6 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply. The property will contact the guest following their reservation.

The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our seasonal menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults.

Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel:

0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/
5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/
12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price.

Please note extra beds and cots must be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival, customers will be required to settle children's extra bed charges (£30 per night) directly with the hotel.

From 29 October 2025, a £5 daily congestion charge will apply to cars driving through central Oxford – please check if you need a permit.

There is a limit of 30 onsite parking spaces at the hotel which must be booked in advance by contacting the hotel to the contact number provided on the confirmation after booking. The charge is GBP 34 for an overnight stay from 15:00 until 12:00 the next day. Spaces are subject to availability and must be booked prior to your stay in order to guarantee a reserved space. You will be asked to leave your keys with our reception team upon arrival. Please contact the hotel for further details. Valet parking is also available.

When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies . Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.

Excelente ubicación y alto confort
Pros:

El sitio es único, ubicado al lado del Castillo y prácticamente integrado con él. La decoración ambientada en la antigua cárcel está muy bien combinada con el estilo moderno. La habitación es enorme en tamaño y muy cómoda. Camas y almohadas muy cómodas, buen wifi y una ubicación excelente. El personal super amable y atento.

Cons:

La wifi por alguna razón bloquea el uso de la app de Telegram, así que teníamos que desconectarnos para poder usarla en mensajes.

Exceptional, highly unique city centre experience
Pros:

Amazing room. Although this is right in the centre of the city it was very private and quiet. We decided to upgrade to a room in the governor's block and found the experience magical.

Cons:

On this occasion our check in was a little delayed as the reservation could not initially be found. The seating area outside the downstairs bar as a bit threadbare in that the lawn was somewhat motheaten. That said, there had been drought conditions and the immediate area was a public throughfare. There appeared to be limited toilet facilities on the ground floor (one WC) but in a property of this age/ unusual nature that is understandable.

Great hotel with lovely staff
Pros:

The hotel and staff were all fantastic. It was a shame the Aircon did not work in my son‘s room so it was very hot, however they still enjoyed their stay. It would have been nice to have been given a breakfast as well as we paid over £400 for two rooms, or at least a reduced price breakfast.

Cons:

Problematic Aircon in one room, and no Option 4 breakfast included when it was quite a expensive price for two rooms

Unusual
Pros:

Hotel in old prison. Unique.

Cons:

Surprisingly I wasn't wild about the cell rooms in the prison block. Comfortable and with highly unusual character but the ambiance was not for me. My room was great.
Parking was expensive and you have to pay congestion charge to get in.

Erg duur verblijf in een prima hotel.
Pros:

geweldige locatie, aan de rand van de binnenstad. Mooie plek ook als onderdeel van een oud fort en gevangenis. Mooie kamer, goed bed, vriendelijk personeel en fantastisch ontbijt.

Cons:

De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding: kamer, bed, en sanitair waren goed, ontbijt zelfs erg goed, maar je betaalt echt een hoofdprijs en dat kan wel wat minder.
