Pros:

Top-Adresse!!

Gem in the city!
Pros:

I stayed in hotel Burgund for a night. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was very good and served with eggs, different kind of breads accompanied with ham, cheese, etc. Very charming and different from classical chain hotels. Also nicely located close from the railways station and town center.

Must stay here!
Pros:

The hotel Burgund is a jewel in this city. I spent one night in Mönchengladbach and really enjoyed staying there. The hotel is very nicely decorated including the halls, room and dining room. Breakfast was excellent and very traditional with an egg, multiple kinds of breads accompanied with ham, cheese, etc.

Good Hotel in a nice old building
Pros:

Very nice little hotel in a very old building. Stayed here with the family for 3 nights.

Highlights include:
* Rooms where a good size. We stayed in a double room with two adults and two children and it didn't feel crowded.
* Rooms were very clean
* Old building was very nice
* Breakfast was simple and cheap. It wasn't amazing but it was enough and a good spread.
* Close to train station and several nice parks in the area

Downsides:
* The staff is only there for part of the day so often times there is no one one sight. This is not a problem because you can reach them easily by calling reception and the call gets forwarded.
* Had a problem with the internet. In our room (which was on the end) the signal dropped really badly because the router was too far away. At some points we ended up sitting outside our door to get a consistently strong signal. This was really the only bad part of our experience.

Overall: I would stay there again in a heart beat.

What a gem
Pros:

Spent a night here as we were passing through and what a lovely surprise to stay here.
A lovely, quaint hotel in the centre of the city and very near the railway station.
With character and great hospitaility. A rare gem when it comes to hotels in a big city.
A step back in time .
