Extra friendly staff, beautiful garden, and cosy room

Very comfortable rooms.
The grounds are nicely laid out.
Couldn't use the pool because it was too cold and rainy.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good.
Enjoyed our 2-day stay immensely.

Beautiful country property with super friendly and helpful staff. The beds are quite firm, but the breakfasts were delicious and it’s within walking distance to town or a very short Uber ride. Lots of nearby excursions available and the tour companies will pick you up right at reception. Great location to stay at!

A great location, within walking distance of town (1km) but with 3 or 4 restaurants close by. Good road access for all major sites. Secure site with barrier entry and CCTV, parking close to your room.
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful grounds, very well tended and with a diverse range of birds. Lovely pool which has views of the volcano, if you are lucky enough for it to appear from the clouds!
The room was basic but comfortable (some may find the beds quite hard). Spotlessly clean but we wish the hotel would consider more environmentally friendly products as the smell of bleach etc was quite overpowering at times.
There is no bar at the hotel but the room has a good sized fridge and ice is available from a freezer in reception, so stock up at the supermarket if you want a drink! Corkscrew available at reception if needed.
Breakfast was ok. A limited choice served canteen style by hotel staff.
Even though it’s set back from the road there was some road noise which may affect light sleepers.

The hotel was fine, clean rooms, nice garden. The best was the very helpfull receptionist. The breakfast was okay and the location of the hotel was good.

Beautiful hotel in a tropical garden setting. Professional maintenance crew and wonderful breakfast. The owner and front desk staff are very knowledgeable helping gusts finding suitable tours, tracking lost items in the tour buses.

This was the worst service I have experienced during 60 years of travelling all over the world. When I was running out of toilet paper, they refused to give me a spare roll, sice there had been toilet paper before. As if that mattered! I had to go to the supermarket to buy it myself.

Lovely resort. Beautiful gardens. Plentiful, tasty breakfast, helpful, friendly staff, conveniently located. Birds really like to congregate in the many bushes, trees and flowers on the property.

We stayed at the Arenal Country Inn and the listing made it seem peaceful, but instead it is near a loud street. I did not sleep that first night (maybe like 3 hours) and then slept only another 3-4 hours the next two nights due to the traffic noise. After the first night, first thing in the morning, we went to the front desk to tell them that we were very uncomfortable and could not sleep due to the noise because we were right near the busy road. All he said was that it would be difficult to change us due to the lack of capacity and that he needed to talk to the supervisor, who starts at 9 or 10 am and let us know. He also mentioned that our rooms had “sound proofing” which it didn’t seem like it at all. Then after that, he never reached out to us or did anything to rectify the situation. He just hoped it would all go away. Terrible customer service. For nights 2 and 3, I turned up the noise cancelling machine even louder and I was still able to hear the vibrations of the car on the street. The room smelled like urine and the beds were highly uncomfortable. We are not sure how this place can have such high ratings, but we would never stay here again.

The room was very simple but clean and spacious. We did have enough room for the suitcases but a few stands to keep the suitcases off the ground would be helpful. The beds were comfortable although they made a lot of noise at night if my husband moved around. The shower was nice but hard to adjust the water temperature as it kept going back and forth between hot and cold. I do wish the bath gel would have been refilled as we ran out. A few more hooks in the room would also be helpful. The breakfast each morning was delicious! They had many options and each one was very tasty ! The property itself is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Location is great - just outside of town. We could easily walk to dinner each evening and they have a local restaurant that delivers !! We enjoyed pizza by the pool ! All in all we loved our stay and would recommend this property!

We had 3 calm and very relaxing nights here, enjoying all the birdlife (Toucans, Macaws) in this idyllic little setting.
Far enough away from town to have peace but only 10 mins away to stroll to one of the many restaurants.
Would highly recommend

Very nice experience, staff was wonderful and very accomodating, rooms very clean and quiet and a bonus was the breakfast buffet. Highly recommend.

This hotel had a clean comfortable room with good air conditioning. The breakfast was very nice. The pool was also very enjoyable and clean. Landscaping around the property was very beautiful and there was lots of animals and birds to look at. They also were accommodating to our arrival time and let us check in a bit early.

However, i did not rate this 5 stars because there were some drawbacks. The bed was very hard and not very comfortable. The temperature control in the shower was impossible to get right (either freezing or scalding hot) so i had cold showers. The plugs were not located close to the bed so charging was more difficult. The power also went out from about 6-7:30am one morning so there was no hot water, wifi, or lights at that time —no communication was made about this being fixed or when it would be back.

It is a little farther from the town so be prepared to walk 10mins or uber (~$2-3 per uber trip). Also I would recommend to bring water shoes because the concrete around the pool is very rocky and hurts to walk on.

We came to La Fortuna to see the volcano and do some rafting. Arenal Country Inn was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The perfect place to rest and recharge in between adventures.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The Country Inn is a little outside of town so it is very quiet, but still an easy walk to restaurants and downtown.

Solid hotel im very green surroundings in La Fortuna. Rooms are simple but clean. The price is okay for what you get. Staff was nice. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. In the rooms you have some noise from the nature outside which I however perceived as nice taking into consideration that you travel to a "nature destination".

A little gem. Comfortable and clean with beautiful gardens teeming with a variety of birds. Swimming pool was a bonus.
It would be great if there was a bar but the restaurant nearby was worth a trip for Italian food and wine.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Shower with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Beds were comfortable.

Grounds were immaculate with beautiful landscaping.
Hotel is walking distance to town. Also walking distance to a fun swimming hole with rope swing which was great for teens.

Beautiful grounds with paths and foliage around the small units. Nice pool with view of Arenal and stellar breakfast every day — we loved and looked forward to having this every morning.

Vanessa and Adriana were kind and helpful with booking our adventures and shuttles. They, along with the rest of the staff, were so friendly.

The rooms are small but for the price, it was a small concession (and expected), and everything else was top notch. This location was also only a 10-15 minute walk from restaurants, grocery stores and La Fortuna.
