Ein überaus sehr freundliches, aufmerksames und zuvorkommendes Personal. Die Zimmer sind schön ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Der Blick aus dem Zimmer war in den Hinterhof, was uns jedoch nicht störte, da wir dem ganzen Tag unterwegs waren. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, umfangreich und liebevoll angerichtet. Auch wurde immer alles sofort aufgefüllt. Die Lage am oberen Ende der Straße (Sackgasse) war trotz Nähe des großen Kreisverkehrs (Praça Marquês de Pombal) sehr ruhig. Der Pool auf dem Dach war das Plus obendrauf! Wirklich toll! Die Lage ist unschlagbar! Zwei Minuten zu Fuß bis zur Metro und von dort in 5 Minuten ins Zentrum. In unmittelbarer Nähe vom Hotel fahren außerdem zahlreiche Busse in alle Richtungen. Die Altstadt ist aber auch fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Das Abendessen im Restaurant Il Basilico war ausgezeichnet. Außerdem gab es zum Geburtstag eine Überraschung vom Hotel-Team: Am Abend, als wir ins Hotel zurückkamen, haben wir eine Flasche Sekt im Eiskühler mit Gläsern und einem persönlichen Glückwunsch-Brief auf dem Zimmer vorgefunden. Nochmals vielen lieben Dank hierfür. Im Ganzen ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel.

We returned for our second stay at the Porto Bay Marques in Lisbon in the last couple of years in January and once again, the hotel and most importantly the excellent team there, did not disappoint.

We returned after an enjoyable stay there in January 2024, this time combining it with a trip to Nazare' first to see some big wave surfing.

As with all trips, we drop the concierge team an email prior to arrival, so our stay gets off to a great start and this time we arranged an upgrade to a Superior room, prior to arrival, which was sorted out quickly and efficiently by the team.

Even before we checked in the team were excellent, letting us store a suitcase with them when we arrived in Lisbon and before we travelled to Nazare for a 3 day stay there, before returning to Lisbon and the Porto Bay, which was extremely kind of them. 🙏🏻

When we checked in, we were given an upgrade on our upgrade, to a suite, which was also very kind and the extra room/space was something that we actually used over our stay, using it to eat when we had had a long day out and just wanted to crash in our room (suite!) with some comfort food instead of venturing out for a late dinner in town.

It was so lovely that a number of the team also remembered us from our previous stay, despite the amount of travellers they must see and it was fun to catch up with them and share stories of our respective previous 24 months, since we were last there.
 
In summary, the location, cleanliness, and competitive pricing, together with the efficiency of the front of house team combine to mean you would struggle to find a better place for your accommodation requirements, if you are looking to spend a few days or even longer in Lisbon.

Small , clean and friendly

Really I enjoyed our stay and loved the options of the property and restaurant and Bar. We were upgraded to. A larger room which we enjoyed.

I spent sum of two months traveling through about ten European countries. Every single time, I booked average 3.5+ stars rooms months ahead, traveled off-season, and left a note requesting a high floor and a quiet room. Every single hotel ignored it and stuck me on a low floor with noise and poor facilities. After a while, as an Asian traveler, you stop believing it's a coincidence. (lowkey you know what I mean Team Asian)
PortoBay Marquês was the one exception. They didn't just acknowledge my request, but they put me on the top floor's silent room. Staff were warm without being performative, and you could tell they actually read what guests write in their booking notes. It sounds like a low bar, but after ten countries of being ignored, it meant a lot. I'd come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my trip delightful.

Great city to explore, and we did!
Hotel was very well located for metro and walking to explore all Lisbon has to offer.
Rooms very clean, well equipped and staff at hotel very friendly and helpful.
Water in pool felt warm, but the weather wasn’t quite warm enough to swim. Pool looked very clear, and clean.
Would definitely return to stay.

部屋も広くて、フロントスタッフも明るくとても感じが良かった。チェックイン前に預けたスーツケースを、部屋に入れておいてくれました。

Great location allowed us to walk everywhere. Staff was professional and gracious.

I had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel overall. The room was comfortable and everything else met my expectations. The staff were friendly and very attentive, which made a big difference. However, the room view was a bit of a let-down, and the toilet lid was quite noisy. Aside from these minor issues, everything else was very good and I had a pleasant experience.

The hotel is situated not on a main road. You don't hear any traffic noice in the room, Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean hotel and clean room. Breakfast is very good and everything is fresh. You can easily walk to the city centre via the boulevard.
