Pros:

i thought we had 2 twin, they split the king and remade it. They were renovating the roof top so breakfast was downstairs. We did not try to use their refrigerator or kitchen facilities which appeared to be on the ground floor. I had wrenched my knee and they helped with my bag. They did my laundry so I did not access their machine

Pros:

I appreciated the authenticity of the riad. The stone floors leading up to the rooftop terrace, the carved wooden doors, and the Moroccan artefacts on the walls. The rooms are very traditional. You get a true sense of Moroccan culture. If you're looking for TVs and modernity, this is not the place for you. It is a reflection of the historical significance of the old medina in Essaouira. The rooftop has an attractive lower deck, and the upper deck has amazing panoramic views. It is still under construction, but it didn't prevent me from using it when the wind was less keen. The staff were gentle and kind and allowed me to stay there a few days longer. The riad was very clean.

Cons:

The breakfast area felt a little bit like a sanitarium. It was slightly gloomy, and I ate out on a couple of occasions instead. I wasn't keen on the plastic foliage and plants throughout the riad, but it could be because of the lack of natural sunlight inside the property. I have only stayed in riads in Marrakech, where the courtyards are adorned with beautiful greenery. Perhaps the climate in Essaouira doesn't allow for an abundance of flora and fauna.

Schöner Meeresblick

Das eher traditionelle Riad liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse nah an der Stadtmauer.
Es ist eines der höheren Gebäude, deswegen hat man auch einen fantastischen Blick aufs Meer von der großen Dachterrasse.
Diese wird gerade erweitert, damit man sich auch bei stärkerem Wind dort aufhalten kann.
Mein Zimmer lag auf der Terrasse mit 2 Fenstern nach außen.
Es war ganz komfortabel und hatte eine Tür zum Bad. Die Handtücher wurden nach 2 Tagen gewechselt.
Das Frühstück war wie in anderen Riads, hier gab es Amlou und Schmelzkäse dazu, sowie ein gekochtes Ei oder Omelette im Wechsel.

Cons:

Ich war während des Festivals dort und habe dann einen dementsprechenden Preis bezahlt. Wäre der Preis immer so hoch, würde ich sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht passt.

Pros:

Excellent emplacement. La terrasse est en train d’être refaite face à la mer.
Chambres propres bien agencées et décorées
Service au top et arrangeant. J’avais mon vol tôt le matin, ils ont préparés un café pour 6:30.

A beautiful Riad and amazing people
Pros:

The riad was beautiful and located in a nice location. The owners were very friendly and understood English and French well. The view from the terrace was stunning! They really helped me with my lost headphones, I appreciate it a lot! The breakfast was tasty and authentic and the tea was great too!

J’ai malheureusement été contrainte d’annuler ma réservation dès mon arrivée. Une odeur d’humidité très forte et particulièrement désagréable se dégageait des lieux, rendant le séjour impossible pour moi et ma famille.
De plus, le mobilier et les équipements de l’établissement étaient dans un état peu satisfaisant et ne correspondaient pas à nos attentes. Le manque d’aération et de ventilation accentuait davantage l’odeur présente dans les locaux.

Déception concernant la ville et le Riad, Essaouira a perdu de sa superbe.
Pros:

Emplacement dans la médina (même si celle ci est sans grand intérêt comparé à d’autres villes marocaines), personnel qui fait du mieux qu’il peut avec les équipements présents

Cons:

Terrasse en mauvais état donc pas utilisée, c’est pourtant ce qui nous avait donné envie sur les photos. Et le problème c’est l’humidité : pas ou pas d’ouverture. Je n’aurai pas passé une seconde nuit ici. Asthmatique passez votre chemin.
