Clean, comfy, friendly and welcoming staff. The family room was great value for money for a family of 5.
Parking and breakfast

Whilst I couldn't stay for breakfast I did sleep extremely well. My neighbour had kept me awake for about thirty hours and I was very frazzled, to be honest. I watched some of the Chelsea match. "Blue is the colour. Football is the game. We're all together - and winning is our aim. So cheer us on through the sun and rain - Cos' Chelsea! Chelsea! is our name." I don't support Chelsea but I knew somebody who hated Chelsea and I used to sing this song to wind him up!
The one thing which would have improved the room I was in (Room 5) would have been a chair of some description; I had to sit on the bed - it just seemed to be a bit of an oversight. Apart from that peccadillo, the room was all that I needed. I shall recommend St Andrews hotel to any of my friends who travel to Preston.

The staff were nice and polite, and the breakfast okay.
I suppose it is OK short stop facilities, but it is not really practical for tourism because the hotel is not very well situated, too far to walk to town center; obliging us to pay cab service every time. We were inconvenienced because there is no lounge which meant we were compelled to return directly to our room after our outings. We would have liked to have a place to discuss ou day and maker plans and relax after our excurtions.

Temporary problem with shower running cold was speedily dealt with by swapping to another room but even then water pressure dropped after running for a few minutes.
Compact, good space. Well planned, easy access to local amenities. Nice breakfast. Welcoming staff. Quiet, personal parking spot.

Room was small but ok for one night
Breakfast was lovely - especially the 'waitress'. Hotel was central for my visit to Preston - parking was available.
The walls of the room were so 'thin' I was constantly worried about disturbing the person in the room next door especially when turning over in bed. Also, wider curtains would have improved my experience. There is a blind behind which just about covers the window but the curtains were too narrow so there was always a 6" gap on the left or the right :-(
