it was a beautifyul property surrunded by history. the hotel is very old but they make it really comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.
Perfect
Nothing need changing
Beautiful property that has clearly seen better days. We loved the old exterior and interesting details of the building, the highland cows in front, and the gardens. The staff was also super sweet, especially the restaurant and breakfast servers!
This hotel needs some money put into it for new carpet, lamps, and decor. The lamp in our room had a broken shade, the chairs were worn out, and the carpet pulling away from the walls. In the restaurant there's water damage in the windowsills and all the wall decor looks cheap and mass produced.
The breakfast, dinner in the restaurant.
The rooms were very old everything of the neighbours was clear to hear and the room door was closing without a big bang. Like other room doors.
Great location, picturesque scenery, couldn’t fault breakfast though paint peeling off walls in dining room
Stayed in the courtyard both radiators on in the room when arrived as well as in the entrance, couldn’t turn the towel radiator in bathroom off very uncomfortable. For the price it’s not justified
Fantastic location. 5 minute walk to beach. Great bar. Great breakfast. Spacious rooms.
Would definitely stay again.
Location
Very overpriced - the hotel is dated and needs refurbishment. No attention to detail - such as no water provided in bedrooms, no a/c bedrooms were too hot, bathrooms dated - overall not particularly clean. Service was slow - not enough staff!
Bellissima e’ a dir poco meravigliosa
Nulla
A lovely historic building, the Newton was originally a Scottish Baronial Mansion and retains many of its original features. The grounds are beautiful, too, and the location at the edge of the fine town of Nairn is great.
For some reason they put us in an annexe which I think was originally a stable building. The room was clean and comfortable but rather tired, and didn't have the glamour of the main house. Breakfast was a bit disappointing for this kind of hotel.
Very spacious, very quiet, beautiful building in a charming environment, free parking and at a walking distance for the city center and the beach. there is a field in front of the hotel where you can see up close "Hairy Coos"
You can tell that this hotel was once is hidden gem. It is need of a fresh coat of paint inside.
Beautiful surroundings and building, attentive staff. Good local amenities.
The dining area was getting a little tired with rotten interior window sills and ant catchers on the floor!
Room was very comfortable, staff were pleasant.
Couldn,t get evening meal as it was fully booked, TV remote did not work, had to switch television off at socket. In the morning the lift had suitcases left in it meaning only 1 person could access it at a time, when the lift door opened at ground level there was suit cases left abandoned blocking exit from lift .
