Disappointing stay – far from a 4-star experience

Cons:

This hotel has clearly seen better days and is currently operating more like a basic hostel than a 4-star property. How it maintains its 4-star rating is complete mystery to me.
The rooms lack basic amenities—there was no fridge in the room, and the bar didn't even offer any light snacks. The atmosphere is further spoiled by a massive portrait of the owner in the entrance hall, which comes across as pure self-glorification. It's my opinion.

I cannot recommend this hotel. The food is best avoided altogether.

A stark reminder that MGM Muthu is definitely not MGM Grand!

Place has its own vibe
Pros:

We stayed at Muthu Newton Hotel with two families and booked five rooms, which were kindly upgraded to Executive Rooms. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has its own unique vibe and incredible architecture—it genuinely feels like staying in a palace!

The location is a little away from Inverness, but the peaceful surroundings and beautiful historic character make up for it. Overall, a memorable stay and definitely worth experiencing.

Cons:

Seagull noise in the night.

Comfortable Hotel in a Seaside Town.
Pros:

A Hotel of a grand style, with walking access to the beach and to walk around Nairn. The Railway Station is close. Comfortable room, also a nice bar sitting room. Restaurant was comfortable.

Der Charme vergangener Zeiten ist verblasst.
Pros:

Gute Lage, nah am Meer.
Um Inverness zu erreichen, ist jedoch ein Auto nötig. Etwas außerhalb.
Schöne Architektur, früher sicher mal eine gute Adresse.
Schöner Golfplatz direkt in der Nähe.

Cons:

Ziemlich abgewohnt. Renovierungsstau. Anbau fügt sich nicht harmonisch in das Originalgebäude ein.
Vor der Tür ein paar schnöde Kisten als Aschenbecher, welche auch nicht regelmäßig geleert wurden. Teppiche nicht gut gereinigt.
