Das Hauptgebäude im Park hat Castle-Vibes. Wir haben ein Upgrade bekommen in eine 2-Bedroom-Suite, die viel zu gross für uns war. Aber eine sehr schöne Suite! Die Betten waren sehr bequem, die Lage extrem ruhig, 5min zum Meer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Abendessen im Restaurant ebenfalls. Die Dame bei unserem Checkin war super nett und auch das Personal beim Frühstück, an der Bar und Abends im Restaurant war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Auf der Weide vor dem Hotel grasen drei Highlandrinder.
Es hat Spass gemacht, sich dort aufzuhalten.
Das Waschbecken im Bad war etwas unterdimensioniert

I was over the moon to receive an upgrade, unprompted. Room was spacious, lovely bathroom. Grounds stunning, very attractive & light bar & Carlie Chaplin restaurant. Loved the 3 Highland cattle in the hotel field. Loads of trees, large expanse of grounds out front, lovely driveway. Breakfasts good; staff through friendly & helpful & seemed happy; meaning Charlie Chaplin restaurant very good quality, altho’ some options had run out, e.g, pomegranate salad which I would have chosen - & no cream left but waiter/waitress (fantastic young people) were resourceful to find us alternative. Amazing stay.
Just one minor thing: ugly large coach parked outside front door entrances when coach parties staying - not a pretty view.
Il castello è magnifico, nei giardini ci sono anche le famose hairy cows! Purtroppo ci aspettavamo di dormire nel castello, ma non c’eravamo accorti di aver prenotato la stanza nella corte (quindi fate attenzione a leggere bene!) nonostante ciò, la stanza era molto bella e siamo stati in albergo a cena che era buonissima. Dopo cena, ci siamo fermati al bar e il barman ci ha aiutato nella scelta del whisky ed è stato molto gentile
Il ristorante era sprovvisto di alcuni dei piatti e di alcuni dolci forzando la scelta quindi su pochi piatti
Die Lage in einem riesigen Park und das Gebäude sind wunderschön. Unser Executive Doppelzimmer war großzügig und gut ausgestattet, Bad groß, Badewanne und extra Dusche-sehr sauber.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück gut.
Das Hotel bräuchte dringend eine intensive Reinigung oder Renovierung, v.a. der Teppichböden.
Im Zimmer und auf den Fluren riecht es staubig, die Möbel im Zimmer haben angeschlagene Stellen und die Bettbespannung hatte Flecken. Mit einer Teppichreinigung, etwas Farbe und ein wenig Stoff könnte man schon viel erreichen.

The view from that specific room was some blocked by trees, but yet, their green color was calming.
Hotel agréable dans un très beau parc. Les chambres sont vastes et le lit double grand et confortable. En revanche la salle de bains était vieillissante, et la baignoire gagnerait à être remplacée par une douche. Peu de place pour installer les affaires de toilette ou accrocher des serviettes. Le petit déjeuner est correct, sans être fantastique. Pas de capuccino, mais un café au lait quelconque. Le personnel est agréable.
En résumé un bon potentiel qui pourrait être amélioré.
L'attente au restaurant était beaucoup trop long 45 minutes après notre arrivée pour avoir notre plat unique alors que seul quatre tables étaient occupées

Quick service and good choices
We liked the tranquil location as the hotel has extensive grounds.
The hotel is showing its age, water leaks had damaged the ceilings in both the bar and breakfast room, with the latter displaying a poor temporary repair. No receptionist was available to book us in and we had to wait sometime. We enquired via email about eating in the restaurant prior to our arrival, to be told that they could only accommodate us at 6.00pm. This was too early for us, so we booked elsewhere. Upon arrival we were asked if we wanted to eat in the restaurant. I explained that we were going to eat elsewhere only to be told that they could have fitted us in. We enquired about the next night and were informed that it was going to be busy, but they could fit us in. Further enquiries the next day again found that we could not eat at our desired time, even though we were told they could fit us in. Annoying mixed messages from staff. The hotel seems to put more effort into looking after coach parties, rather than guests who book individually. The bedroom smelt musty and were certainly not worth the money we paid. We were on a car tour of Scotland, we stayed in five hotels during our trip, this was the most expensive, yet offered the poorest overall experience.
Loved the location and walk through the wwodown to the sea. It room was great. We particularly liked the comfortable bed and the fact that the curtains cut out all the light making the room pitch black. Brilliant forceful shower.
Not a lot to complain about. The breakfast wasn't up to much and the carpets were showing signs of wear in places but I'm just nit picking

Driveway a nightmare full of potholes.Our room was dark and very tired .Not welcoming at all.Very disappointed, to say the least.
