Very comfortable room. Clean.
Nothing
Everything, lovely house, lovely staff, lovely room, lovely food, lovely highland cattle, lovely area. Perfect
Only staying 2 nights, wished it was longer x
Convenient for our personal purposes
Decor requires refresh
We loved this hotel, it's one we've already recommended to friends and will stay at again. It's a beautiful property, the room we had was wonderful and the 3 Highland cows were the cream on the top.
We didn't like the welcome. When we were checking in, we were standing there at the front desk at about 3:30pm with our luggage and the lady wandered out and asked what we wanted in a quite brash tone. First impressions count!
Everything was very good. Room was lovely, bed comfortable and food was excellent.
The weather!!!
The building. Room size was excellent and comfortable. Shower was the best.
Lovely parkland setting and friendly staff.
The access road is in poor condition.
Pothole repairs necessary.
The breakfast is fab
Shame there was not heating or hot water. Not the hotels fault but the gas company.
Didn't have breakfast and am from Nairn so know area. Also, those Brontë biscuits, the ginger ones were lovely.
I didn't sleep too well as didn't like the pillows. I have a feather pillow at home so, maybe, one in wardrobe as an option? Also heard cleaners in their storeroom at 7am which didn't help.
The room was very big with a massive tv great bathroom with shower and bath. Great view from the room. Chaplain's restaurant was lovely the food and service was great . Breakfast was great no complaints. Only short walk into the town and a lovely walk along the sea front . Overall we had a great time and would return. Thank you
Only negative was the carpet leading into the room were very stained and needed a good clean or for it to be replaced.
Mary at reception was very helpful and immediately arranged an upgrade for us, moving us from the outbuilding (“sheep stable” section) to a standard double room in the main castle.
The room itself was acceptable, and we appreciated her effort to make our stay more comfortable.
Breakfast and the service during breakfast were very good.
The booking was misleading: based on the photos we expected a standard double room in the main building, but were initially placed in the outbuilding, which was far below expectations.
Even in the upgraded room, cleanliness was lacking: visible dirt in corners, stains on furniture, and dust.
The bathroom was particularly neglected: broken and dirty tiles, moisture stains on the ceiling, and an unclean shower.
The accessible toilet on the ground floor was in poor condition, with a sticky floor, dirt, and paper lying around.
Beautiful grounds and surroundings
Lovely staff
The lift door didn’t always close properly
The en-suite door did not fully close
The room became quite hot which required us to open all the windows which unfortunately let in the midges and wasps
Rien
Très vétuste. Odeur de moisissures dans toutes les parties communes et odeurs de cuisine malgré que l'on ait ete surclassé en chambre supérieure.
