Just wrapping up a 5-night family stay at Park Hyatt Siem Reap and wanted to share a recent datapoint for anyone considering the property.
Booked a standard room on a Hyatt Privé / Guest of Honor reservation and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded at check-in to Executive Pool Suite #7. This is one of the private plunge pool suites and was an excellent upgrade. The suite was spacious, very private, and felt more like a residence than a hotel room. The plunge pool was especially welcome after long days at Angkor in the heat.
Overall, I found the property to be one of the better Park Hyatts I've stayed at in terms of hospitality. While the hard product is beautiful and well maintained, the standout feature was unquestionably the staff. Service throughout the stay felt genuine rather than scripted, and the team consistently recognized us and anticipated our preferences.
A special mention to Kourou from the Front Desk, who welcomed us at check-in and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Beyond the usual hotel formalities, he took the time to review and validate my plans for four full days in Siem Reap and offered practical suggestions on pacing the temple visits. His advice helped us avoid over-scheduling and allowed us to enjoy Angkor at a much more relaxed pace.
We were traveling as a family, and our daughter had just celebrated her 6th birthday two days before our arrival. The hotel went out of its way to make her feel special. We were welcomed with a birthday cake, and throughout the stay various thoughtful amenities and surprises appeared in the room. None of it felt excessive or staged—just genuine gestures that delighted our daughter and created memories she will remember long after the trip. As parents, those small touches meant a great deal to us.
Breakfast was a highlight each morning. The spread is not the largest I've seen in Asia, but the quality was consistently high and the à la carte offerings were excellent. As vegetarians, we found the hotel very accommodating and the kitchen was happy to customize dishes when needed.
I also want to specifically recognize the Food & Beverage team. Sharat took exceptional care of us throughout the stay and was proactive in ensuring every meal experience was enjoyable. Vannak and Ravy were equally warm, attentive, and professional. Their hospitality added significantly to our overall impression of the hotel. As frequent travelers, we notice when service feels genuine rather than transactional, and this team consistently delivered exactly that.
Location-wise, I found the property ideal. It is close enough to Pub Street and the central area to walk when desired, yet once inside the hotel it feels quiet and secluded. We used it as a base for multiple days exploring Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm, Banteay Srei, Phnom Bakheng and several lesser-visited temples.
For anyone wondering whether this property is worth choosing over some of the larger resort-style options in Siem Reap, my answer would be yes. If you value personalized service, a manageable-sized luxury hotel, and a location that balances convenience with tranquility, Park Hyatt Siem Reap delivers.
The suite upgrade was appreciated, but what I'll remember most is the people. The property has an excellent team that genuinely seems invested in making guests' visits to Cambodia special. Between the warm welcome, the thoughtful recognition of our daughter's birthday, and the consistently outstanding service, this was one of the most memorable Hyatt stays our family has enjoyed in Southeast Asia.
Everything was absolutely exceptional !
Small and comfortable
Too many mosquitoes and not enough lights around vanity area in the bathroom
Amazing stay in the heart of Siem Reap, great location, rich cultural experiences including complimentary tuk tuk ride around town, beautiful candle lighting ceremony, head and neck massage on arrival and at breakfast and the kindest, most attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back!
The location of this hotel is great - within walking distance to a great number of eateries, shops, the night market, the main river, etc. Also it's about 20 minutes drive from Angkor Wat Park.
Check in was smooth and pleasant enough. We booked three rooms and unfortunately, I booked the wrong room for myself - Executive Suite King with private plunge pool. Do not book that unless you really need a private outdoor area to sit and burn yourself under the scorching sun! These suites are located on the ground floor near one of the pools (the smaller one). It is also exposed to all the noise from the streets and especially the temple nearby. Everyday, you'll hear lots of chanting and sounds coming in, though the room itself is barely adequately insulated from the outside noises.
I would recommend booking a room in the main building itself. They seem to be more modern and the sound insulation is better.
The room / suite itself was just ok, though the real standout was the bed, which had a firm mattress, which I really liked a lot.
Water pressure was ok (not great). As expected, the room had some mosquitoes. There was no writing desk!
Housekeeping was good and consistent.
Breakfast was underwhelming and to a large extent, disappointing. A very limited array of fruits and the buffet spread looked rather sad to me. You can order dishes, noodles and eggs from the menu, but I did not find anything that was spectacularly good. The park hyatt in Bangkok has a far superior breakfast spread.
The room prices here are on the expensive end for Siem Reap. So value for money is not great, in my opinion.
I came in to their restaurant The Glass House and their chef not only went over the menu but walked me into their bar The Living Room and the main hotel to show it to me! I was so impressed I went back for a drink. They treated me like a queen even though I wasn’t a guest there and brought me extra amuse bouches to go with my wine. I’m definitely staying here next time for the lovely property and the incredible staff. Well done, Park Hyatt Siem Riep!
Just fantastic! Conveniently located, accessible to many restaurants, walkable to the pubs, and a supermarket down the street.
We had a suite on the first floor. Despite facing the main road, we could hardly hear the street sounds. The room was impeccable - clean, firm mattress, power sockets next to bed, bathroom was a nice size and two toilets with a pantry. This was one of the better rooms among all the Park Hyatts that I have stayed before.
Meanwhile, I heard that the villas have not been “updated.” My friends heard chanting from neighbouring temple which kept them awake. The villa was even smaller than my assigned room. Anyway, probably good to choose a suite than villa.
Service from team was great and efficient. The staff were attentive and cater to our requests quickly.
Meanwhile, I thought the breakfast could have been better. The choices were many on the menu but quality was lacking. It was a rather standard fare with no surprises. I was not wowed at all.
Lastly, the spaces across the hotels were immaculate. Evident from the pictures, you can see that the spaces are quite well designed.
Typically, a luxury hotel in the heart of a city is not my first choice, but the Park Hyatt Siem Reap completely exceeded our expectations. From the exceptional service and attentive staff who anticipated our every need, to the perfect central location, every aspect of our stay felt effortless and refined. The breakfast and dinners at The Dining Room were outstanding, and evenings in The Living Room enjoying expertly crafted cocktails became a highlight of our trip.
The hotel also served as the perfect base for our incredible two-day experience exploring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples with The Lux Tuk Tuk tour. After long days of touring in the Cambodian heat, returning to the calm, elegant atmosphere of the Park Hyatt felt like absolute luxury. Together, the hotel and tour created an unforgettable Siem Reap experience that we would highly recommend.
This is a very elegant property. The art and design all pays homage to Siem Reap. The room sizes are generous. The primary pool is outstanding. And the staff’s attention to patrons is top tier. Hospitality often sought but rarely delivered. They truly anticipate needs. From Marilyn in reception, Hoth the pool attendant, and Chantra at the bar…staff recognized us and always went out of their way. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
It is a boutique hotel so it doesn’t have all the amenities of a larger Hyatt.
We had a wonderful experience! The level of customer service is superb! We highly recommend this property to future travelers!
Amazing breakfast with both buffet and a la carte. Great activity for the kids during breakfast (flower folding, painting, elephant clay carving). 2 pools - regular and salted water. Very quiet and peaceful - would recommend again.
Nothing - everything was great.
From the moment we arrived, the Park Hyatt Siem Reap set the tone for an exceptional stay. The evening manager welcomed us with warmth and genuine care, and a thoughtful anniversary gift was waiting in our room — a perfect first impression.
The curated experiences on property are where this hotel truly shines. The complimentary welcome massage was a lovely touch after a long travel day. The hour-long tuk tuk tour through Siem Reap was a highlight — charming, immersive, and perfectly paced. The Apsara dance performance was mesmerizing, and the Khmer Signature Dining experience was among the most memorable meals of our trip: beautifully presented, deeply rooted in local tradition.
What elevates Park Hyatt Siem Reap above the competition, however, is its people. Late on our final evening, I encountered a stressful situation — an ATM swallowed my debit card just before midnight. Staff member Sehya responded immediately, stayed by my side throughout, and personally coordinated with the bank until their staff arrived and returned my card. That kind of calm, unwavering service at midnight — for a problem entirely outside the hotel's control — speaks volumes about the culture this property has built.
If you're visiting Siem Reap and want a hotel that combines luxury with genuine Cambodian hospitality, look no further.
Enchanted place in a central location

Hervorragende Lage, wunderschöner und ruhiger Innenhof, sehr gutes Frühstück, zuvorkommendes Personal, ruhiges Zimmer zum Innenhof,
The service and ambiance at the Park Hyatt Siem Reap is excellent. We were welcomed at check-in with drinks, cold towel, and a 5 minute massage. The hotel staff are extremely kind and attentive. The daily breakfast buffet included with our room was extensive, including a variety of made to order items, and even included some local fare and arts and crafts around the central garden like fresh coconut stand, Khmer waffle station and coffee station. If you happen to be on a sunrise tour with early morning pickup, you can opt for a packed breakfast to go (if you place your order the night before). In the evening from 7-8 pm if you dine around the courtyard, you're treated to an hour of Khmer cultural dances by the banyan tree & pond (or in The Dining Room Restaurant of it's rainy). They also offer you a complimentary 15 minute quick tour via tuk tuk (bicycle cart) -- which we didn't get a chance to use during our short stay. Very convenient central location... less than 10 minutes walk to Pub Street with a good variety of great value restaurants and bars. Also, a wonderful place called Relax Spa is located just next door for great massage.
Some minor disappointments or areas that could have been improved...
They did not have a good variety of pillows available. I repeatedly asked for a firmer or memory foam pillow as I'm a side sleeper. They could not accommodate my request.
The gym is quite small and not well equipped. Just your standard cardio equipment, some dumbbells, a bench, and a single functional trainer cable machine.
We were told they do not have a sauna or steam room (even though I read in another recent review that they were offered the use of a stem room?).
We were not offered any room upgrade (which we were eligible for with my Amex Hotel Collection reservation) and we did find our King Garden View room rather small. There wasn't really any room for our 2nd big bag without blocking passage ways. I also found the table and chair arrangements a bit odd. The main table where I tried to do some work on my laptop had no desk lamp, and the table in the corner that did have a desk lamp had no chair for seating.
