Very nice evening, looked after well, nice food. Thank you
Having stayed at numerous Heathrow airport hotels over the years, I’ve often found them to be purely transit-focused places where guests feel more like passengers, rooms are simply functional, and restaurants resemble cafés rather than dining spaces. On this occasion, I decided to try the Marriott London Heathrow Airport Hotel, and the difference was immediately apparent.
Check-in was smooth and efficient. The front desk associate, Miss Archana, was both friendly and professional. She recognised my elite status, kindly upgraded my room, and clearly explained the hotel amenities along with the car parking procedure on departure, a small but much-appreciated touch.
The public areas are spacious and airey, with an atrium feel. There plenty of seating and power sockets to charge your devices when away from your room.
My room was located on the side of the hotel, offering a limited view of the airport. However, the soundproofing was exceptional; despite the proximity to Heathrow, the room was completely silent with no traffic or aircraft noise at all. The room itself had a real sense of quality, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was powerful and invigorating.
The public areas of the hotel felt relaxed and luxurious rather than busy or transactional. Throughout my stay, every member of staff I encountered was respectful, helpful, and genuinely welcoming.
The M Club Lounge was pleasantly calm, even during happy hour. A good selection of alcoholic beverages was available, along with small but well-presented portions of both hot and cold food.
Just a small point in the M Club lounge, was that I asked one of the staff members for a gin and tonic, and was directed to the adjacent counter where several glasses had been pre=prepared. To be honest, they didn’t look very appealing, as any ice had melted and the fizz had disappeared. I was unsure how long they had been sitting there, and I wasn’t offered a freshly made drink so I opted for another drink instead. It didn’t detract from my visit there.
Breakfast at Carluccio’s was excellent, offering a plentiful buffet selection of cereals, fruits, pastries, and cooked items. The staff were attentive and efficient, promptly clearing plates and cups without being intrusive.
Overall, this has been my best experience at a London airport hotel to date. I will definitely be staying here again whenever I travel back to the UK.
Sofia in the executive lounge was amazing! Food and drink was lovely. Shame we’re only here for the one night! Will definitely be back.
Cons
-Flickering led lights in bathroom and tv (you can see it if you take a video in the room).
-Bed was stiff and pillows were too soft for my personal taste.
-Heat in the room didnt work at all, was quite cold
Pros
-Staff was very accommodating with in room floor heater and blankets
-Good food and great room service
-24/7 executive lounge with nice breakfast and happy hour
-Responsive and courteous staff
-Beautiful lobby space
We stayed here before a flight the next day.
Caught the local bus from Heathrow Central Bus station at Terminal 2/3. Bus took less than 10 minutes and cost £1.75, and did the same to return to the airport. The bus stops directly outside the hotel, and is only a 2 minute walk on the opposite side of the road to get back to the airport.
Arrived early, but checked in straight away. Lovely front desk staff and lovely staff throughout.
Lovely clean spacious room with views across the road to the airport.
Swimming pool & surrounding area very well kept. Only downside being the hot tub was out of service.
Lovely experience in the M Lounge. Canapés were outstanding and plentiful. Add to this the free alcohol and the cocktail of the day, meant for a lovely evening, with no need to have a proper meal. Staff in the lounge so helpful and friendly & even brought you fresh drinks when you needed them.
Breakfast in the morning was just as good with a selection of hot & cold food
Despite being just across the road from the runway, the hotel had excellent soundproofing, so you did not hear the planes at all.
An excellent stay, and we will definitely be booking to stay again next year when we are flying from Heathrow again.
Very welcoming hotel. Front desk staff were exceptional! Great room. Very comfortable cleans room. Perfect for an overnight stay before our flight the next day.
The executive lounge in the hotel is amazing.
Mr. Manish looked after us so well in our time in the lounge, great for pouring us some wine and taking food to our table.
Mr. Manish was extremely friendly and like to spend a few minutes telling us about his culture and food in his hometown in India.
This is the best executive lounge out of all the three Marriott properties on Bath Road.
Thank you for such great service.
Lovely hotel. Wonderful helpful staff. Sofia was great at Breakfast. Very attentive. Good Breakfast options. Made to order omelette was great. Only negative terrible coffee, simply awful.
We stayed here when our flight got canceled so it was very minute. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating, especially the front desk when we needed help with rescheduling our taxi. The room was cozy and clean - I loved the blue couch! The Executive Lounge was well-appointed, service was excellent, and food was great. Sophia in the lounge was very kind and friendly. Overall, I would recommend this Marriott.
One of very best Executive launch in town with wonderful food and service, Staff is very kind and soft spoken, will book again..............
Excellent location if you are flying in or out of LHR make sure to visit the executive lounge at Heathrow Marriott! The lounge staff are friendly, helpful and will go out of their way to ensure you have an outstanding experience. Smriti and Larisa helped me out, it was late evening they took my dinner order right there in the lounge, went over and above to ask me for anything I needed and all with a smile. Adding a bit of warm sunshine to a long hectic day on a typical January London weather wet, windy, bone chilling cold evening.
Sofia and the rest of the staff took amazing care of us. Super attentive. Thank you so much for all your help. We really appreciated it
Always a good experience, I tend to go to many mariott lounges but Larissa made my experience a lot better with efficient and quick service and good knowledge, check-in process was quick and efficient, the gym can use some work but all in all its a very nice hotel near the airport
Executive Lounge was amazing!! Manish was a wonderful host and explained the curry recipe used in the curry served in the Executive Lounge- a wonderful benefit of being platinum!!!
I’ve just stayed the last 2 nights.
So much was great about this hotel but I cd only give it 4 stars because ….whilst ALL the other staff were excellent, friendly and helpful just one lady wasn’t. She was serving drinks & takeaway food mainly in the corner cafe bit. Everyone can have an off-day so I don’t want to overstate this but she seemed quite fed up with all the customers.
Another small tip is the hotel should consider getting a charging cable guests could use when charging their cars in the Mariott car park (most guests won’t be carrying their own).
Talking to Manish in the lounge who asked me to give a review. Was here for the evening meal and saw the entire presentation from the start, now back for tea and pastry.. Amazing! I told the staff and cook earlier this is the best that Marriott has to offer members! Another lady said to me the same. She’d as well has been to many Marriotts but this was by far the best Member Lounge of all of them. Very, very well done!
Great location to catch our flight. Rooms were clean and spacious. Ate at the main dining twice. Two excellent servers made our time there more enjoyable. Sanjay served us at breakfast and was accommodating, attentive, and brought good energy. He went above and beyond.
We visited Carluccios this week with our family and our celiac kids.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food is always tasty, well presented and great.
Must make a special mention for Patricia (not spelt this way but unsure how it was spelt). Who was absolutely brilliant ensuring that our kids received a 100% gluten free meal. She was totally on the ball talking to the chef and reassuring us that on the eve of international travel our kids were kept safe with incredible food.
I hope the management see this review and can commend Patricia for her due care and diligence.
Highly recommended for anyone who needs a great gluten free meal near Heathrow
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted not just with smiles, but with genuine warmth that made me feel like a long lost friend returning home. The staff here don’t just serve, they connect. Whether it’s a cheeky bit of banter or a heartfelt chat, every interaction is infused with joy, humour, and authenticity.
The reception team deserve special praise. They don’t just check you in; they brighten every single day. Their energy, humour, and effortless ability to make you feel valued set the tone for the entire stay. Passing reception becomes something you look forward to because you know you’re guaranteed a laugh, a warm welcome, or a moment of genuine connection.
I even experienced an early morning fire alarm, and the way the team handled it was professional. Within moments, staff were guiding everyone calmly and efficiently out of the building, reassuring guests and keeping spirits high despite the hour. Outside, they continued to keep everyone informed, while the fire brigade carried out there search. Once safe we were allowed back into the hotel.
The restaurant is a revelation. The team is clearly on a mission to make every meal memorable. From the moment you're seated, you're treated like royalty — but with the warmth of family. The chefs deliver dishes that are both bold and comforting, each plate crafted with care and bursting with flavour, even with food allergies and intolerances.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the people! Every member of staff - from housekeeping to management - takes time to stop, chat, and share a laugh, no matter how busy they are. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality feels this human, and this fun.
If you’re looking for a stay that’s more than just comfortable — one that’s unforgettable, uplifting, and full of soul — this is the place.
Lots of stays here, most recently last week. They continue to cut costs and make the experience feel cheap, even though it is the priciest Marriott option at LHR. Examples are, no bar soap in the bathroom so you have to use shower gel or hand wash on your face. Also bathroom related, no wash cloths (flannels). Be aware there is also a hefty early check in fee if you arrive before 3pm, I did not see the fee mentioned during the booking process.
The lounge continues to be good with varied choices at the evening canapé. Breakfast has to be taken in the lounge. The Sheraton next door and the Renaissance down the road continue to offer breakfast in their restaurants, and at a lower room rate.
