Hotel Sofia Palace

Dated and a tiny bit dusty but other than that a great place for a quick stay that’s very conveniently located.

The sofa ned was awful. Impossible to sleep

No way is this a 4* hotel - I’m not sure it’s even 3*. The room was shabby & old and looked like a b&b from the 80s. I suspect the listing shows photographs of the rooms as they were 10/15 years ago. The beds were ok - though we were given a twin room despite booking a double. The sheets were clean but the bathroom not so much. There were dirty marks all round the taps, the shower was just handheld over the bath which had filthy sealant round it.
The lobby of the hotel smells of cigarette smoke and it’s situated in a grotty run down side street.
Do not waste your money staying here - spend the extra £20 or so and get one of the ‘5*’ hotels which are hopefully more like their Expedia listings,

Nice and quiet hotel close to city center and with many options of transportation.
The room was spacious, comforfable, well designed and had a great view (5th floor room).
One little thorn is the Breakfast which isn't very diversified, food was just OK.

Well located comfortable hotel in central Sofia

A group of 7 of us stayed here for 2 nights for a 40th birthday weekend. The hotel was in a good central location, easy check in, helpful reception, rooms were a decent size and clean. The comfort apartment had a nice little lounge area where we could all sit and have a drink before going out. Shampoo and shower gel in the rooms was handy for those of us travelling hand luggage only. At the price you pay, I think it’s a great value hotel. 2pm check in was a bonus too!

Great location

The hotel is at city center easy access to all visit for both business and leisure. It is also easy to order online food and order a taxi. Nice and comfortable hotel with friendly staff.

Good location

The bed was good. Small room for the price compare to other hotels I booked in the same trip.
The lights did not work properly in the bedroom area, but I was alone and tired so it was not a deal for me.

there were cockroaches in the room. there was visible mold and dirt. I can't believe it's an Expedia hotel. We asked for a refund and the hotel and Expedia did not give it What a horrible rip off. It is stealing money and ruining our trip. disgusting and unsafe

The room is modern but dirty. I had to disinfect the toilet as it was clearly not cleaned. The cups in bathroom were dirty with toothpaste. Parking is limited. Would not recommend.

The reception were friendly. The hotel is found in a nice quiet location, but close to the attractions. The room was clean and spacious enough.

Chose the hotel as it had a bath and I was not disappointed the room was nice snd spacious in. Good location
The chap on reception was very helpful and polite which can be a rarity in BG
The only negatives were a single sized quilt on a king sized bed and the towels were rather old
But overall I would book here again

the hotel is very nice, clean, and the service is excellent. the breakfast is quite modest.
