Chom View Hotel

After reading some of the reviews on Google etc i understand why some people may mark this place 1 star. I must be one of the lucky ones. The room itself is spacious. Aircon looks new and doesnt rattle. There is no main light but i like ambient lighting anyway. Bathroom is clean. Bed sheets clean. There is a kettle with broken lid but still works. No coffee/tea provided but there is water. Breakfast theres a few options albeit cold. Even hot items. Oh well. It does need a refurb ngl some areas are shabby but overall its the location that shines. Its like 2 min walk to the beach front. Catch the sunrise at 6.30 am its pretty good. The pool itself i wouldnt bother with theres the sea like a few steps away. Why on earth people rely on pools when the sea beckons is beyond me. The sea is kind of choppy so thats maybe why. The tide is out early on so enjoy the walk. Not much litter the sand is very fine. Watch the little crabs running around theyre so cute. Overall its a great experience and quiet. Right next to the markets for food and clothes you cant go wrong. I really enjoyed my stay here and for the price well what else do you want with brekkie incl. 5 star at this price dream on

You get what you pay for in life , for approx £30 a night with breakfast we think this hotel is value for money. Pool good pool bar does what you want and able to access the sea for a swim which is great👍 Yes rooms are dated but are fully functional and a decent size. We were only due to stay in Hua Hin for 4 nights but extended up to 10 nights👍. Location is superb and a very small walk for the weekend Tamarind & Cicada Markets.

Our 100 2 meters duplex was on 2 levels with 2 balconies & 2 toilets. We asked for an electric kettle & got a 24/7 hot water dispenser instead. The reception obliged us with 2 extra pillows & allowed us to stay in this extremely spacious accommodation. Hotel pool is stunning & nice beach.

My Room was in the Block housing the Reception Area. The Rooms are dated and need to be upgraded ASAP. The antiquated but functional Shower is over the Bath. Rooms have TV and Fridge but no Tea/Coffee making facilities. My Room didn’t even have a Safe deposit Box. (although the next room didn’t even). Only one Pool was open and the loungers around the one that was were also old and the Mattresses were worn out and faded as were some of the umbrellas. Unfortunately the hotel pictures lie. But there are several blocks and I’m sure other rooms are better. Buffett Breakfast is very good for the extra cost, but more Western Selection would be welcomed (ie bacon, mushrooms, hash browns etc). Would I return sadly not.

I explicitly reserved Room 301E. The staff confirmed this in our chat and it is clearly printed on my booking receipt (see attached). However, upon check-in, I was given Room 303C instead. It is unacceptable to disregard a written confirmation like this. Very disappointed.

Booked for 2 days but checked out after 1 night. The bed was too hard, including the pillows. The toilet didn’t flush properly — waste stayed in the bowl or even came back up. The mini fridge was so noisy we couldn’t sleep, so we unplugged it. The air conditioner also made a terrible noise (and I’m not talking about the normal sound you’d expect). The shower pressure kept going from strong to weak with very little water.

Would not recommend — there are much better places nearby.

Super bad maintenance. Spider webs on the walls. Barely anything given in the washrooms. The lock was broken. Awful view from the window. The tiniest side table. No prayer mat available. No halal food on the menu. 👎🏼👎🏼 The pictures they show on google are different rooms, they give you the bad rooms at the back.

Checked in at 2pm, said room not ready?
No explanation?
All staff laughed… not good for first impressions.
Told to come back in a hour… did so
Still not ready and all staff laughed again.
The lady who is mid 50s and the gentleman mid 50s, you are a disgrace to customer service by laughing at us.
Been Thailand for 30 years, you are the worst for reception staff.
On the other hand PIYAMAS, you were great by getting pool towels for us when none left. Your customer service is great and your colleges at reception should have your commitment to customer satisfaction.
The hotel is worn and old
The pool is a miss, my short and wife’s bikini had to be disposed off due to green algae in the pool, due to not cleaned. There was green mould around the edges of the pool,so don’t lean on side.
Also asked for a small water at pool and was 40tb
Most expensive water to date.
This hotel is old and worn, a great shame as it could be a gold mine if invested in infrastructure of running a hotel.
PIYAMAS you were great and made our stay better.

It is not the newest Hotel, but the rooms were clean and nice. Just a short walk to the beach. We haven't booked with breakfast, so I can't say anything about it. The Price value is amazing. Tamarind and Cicada market are also just a short walk away.

We stayed in the old hotel area, the rooms were very comfortable and clean we did spend 1 night in a garden room, but prefer the original part. It is out of the way a bit but the tamarind markets are only a short walk away. It's right on the beach, overall we stayed 5 nights and had a very relaxing stay.

Well below average, had pigeons nesting in the loft heard scurrying sounds all night, making sleeping in the bedroom impossible! (Room 302C) I contacted reception who said "okay we will send someone " but nobody turned up after complaining 5 times! someone did turn up to the comment "we cannot do anything "
The hotel has the potential to be very good but the hotel staff are going to have to improve there customer relations or :bring in new staff

Pool was green, soupy and unusable. Room was dirty. Knobs missing, Really old, paint peeling and mold. I think the owners are letting it go, not putting any money into it, perhaps until it is sold. We had planned on staying a week but left the next day. Couldn't get out fast enough.

The swimming pool was unsafe for use. On a pool professional and I would have had that pool closed. And apparently it's been that way for many weeks. They said at the desk. They're having pump problems. Then there's the rest of the property. In need of such repair. And yet again it seems the owners don't care. I would never stay at this property again. We were booked in for 10 nights and we stayed only one night.

My room is on 3 third floor, and when I get in to the room my bedroom is on 4 floor.
I am 77 years old I have to climb all day that stairs with bad knees, I already have bad knee, I have to go up and down for 15 day. My knees got really bad. and the cleaning lady didn’t come clean for five day inside is so called condo do not have stoves or microwave. It had one electric tea pot. It had dishes, so I can’t cool or warm up anything. the pillow was so hard and big it hurt my neck so bad I keep going to get a massage.
Around of pool it’s had so many steps, in fact one old man trip and falls, I think he broke his wrist .

Bathroom dirty, towels look like rags, air conditioner in master makes noises and drips water continuously… tv is old and fuzzy picture. Master bedroom had dirty sheets. Knobs missing on cupboard for clothes..

For the price they charge,
I’d go somewhere else… I DEFINITELY would never go there again!!!

The room is too old and they even don't provide any complimentary, like tea, coffee & sugar. We don't know that it can be such a big deal to them. When we ask their receptionist, they just said they can't provide because it's part of condo hotel but it never mentioned before. The toilet also not working well. Last part, we have requested the breakfast box since we need to check out early in the next day, but no coordination between receptionist and the restaurant staff. So they did not prepare it for us & they said it take 15-30 minutes to prepare. Really bad experience.

We were supposed to stay 8 nights for a long awaited relaxing holiday but we checked out after one night. Horrific place. Rooms not maintained at all, dirty water cooker, ripped bed sheets, balcony falling apart due to rust, doors that don’t close properly. The pool is unusable, green and full of tang, pool bar falling apart. We did not find any towels at the pool. Showers at the pool and the sitting possibilities are falling apart. Just generally no love or maintenance done anymore. Not what I understand of a nice holiday.
No refund when checking out early, we even had to pay the three drinks we had at the bar the first afternoon.

Hotel is very nice , good location , staff friendly Annie in reception , Tangkwa , at breakfast Patunporn, and the girls of housekeeping very helpful.
Was a pleasant stay at your hotel . For sure we will recommend and come again .
Beach is walking distance unfortunately we have high tide

Det kan godt være, at hotellet har set bedre dage, og er lidt slidt, men det opvejes til fulde af de ansatte og omgivelserne. Vi er der hvert år i en måned, og kan kun give en varm anbefaling

The hotel is very well situated near the sea 40 metre walk. The room while being slightly aged, was very clean had all amenities (kettle, fridge, tv, soap,shower jell & WiFi router in the room !)
Large swimming pool, breakfast at an extra cost (249 baht)
Oh and air conditioning worked well)
Bed and pillows comfy)
