Please be aware that Mercure Northampton no longer has a swimming pool and wet facilities. Please note that the card used to make the booking has to be presented upon check-in. Please be aware a maximum of two guest requiring assistance (due to any form of disability or impairments) is permitted at the hotel on any given night due to fire, life safety policies, relating to the safe and appropriate time required to facilitate evacuation. Any guests that will require assistance from the hotel team to safely evacuate the property in case of an emergency for an overnight stay must state this at booking stage. The convenience to the town centre, bus station and train station
The overhead shower I couldn't use as it didnt have a separate head, and no handles in the shower, so felt unsafe. It also needs updating.
The location great for the saints vs black lions match .Central to Shops etc
The new key card systems , we had to go down to reception twice as ours didnt work . Also a black lions rugby player was rude to us in the lift and he was only on first floor so why he had to get in the lift shouting and running and asking us to stop the lift . He didnt understand the instructions for using the key in the lift and forced my key and in doing so we had to go back down to reception to have our key reset for a third time . The room we were in was freezing. Only a thin duvet and eventually got the heating unit working . The bed a bit lop sided .

The location and service was excellent, the room and bed very comfortable, and the restaurant/breakfast a very enjoyable experience. Easy to book at the last minute too.

The hotel was lovely. With very helpful staff.
The girls in the bar, the gentleman on reception both evenings.
Breakfast was fantastic , the one thing, the only complaint I have is that I had to comment to the manager on a lady talking in the restaurant on speaker phone very loudly.

He was very busy seeing to everyone to notice in his defence.

I liked the location because it is next to the bus station so it is extremely easy to get to the destination that you need to get to. Also I liked the staff very much I think that the staff where no judgemental and extremely helpful and extremely supportive
I did not like the carpets as I thought that they where too busy also I did not like the cooked breakfast I thought that they where extremely bad quality. But I thought that the continental breakfast was absolutely brilliant I think that it would have been nice if they had some Blueberry muffins like the premier Inn do. Also I think that the chairs could have been more comfortable in the bedroom
