Disappointed
Pros:

When I arrived the room wasn’t ready, we stored our luggage and headed to the El Corte Ingles. We were told we’d get a what’s app text as soon as we could get into the room. Never got a text. Never received any information about amenities at the hotel. I had no idea there was a spa. No idea of the terrace top lounge. No history, no description of the gardens. Room was very hot.whenever we entered or exited the lobby, the reception people were hunkered down behind huge apple computers. Never a greeting, hello, goodbye , have a nice day. Carpets are dirty throughout hotel and I still cannot believe it was a five star.

Hotel muito novo, instalações perfeitas, local calmo com um bosque cheio de pássaros, perfeito para quem quer estar próximo a Porto mas longe da confusão da cidade.
Serviço impecável.
Café da manhã maravilhoso.

Not that impressed.
Pros:

Clean. Nice large grounds. Nice pool. Space. Many people at reception. Clean room.

Cons:

Felt fairly misled at various stages but we should have researched better. The hotel isn’t a traditional building. It’s fully concrete. Like Stalin’s dream. The old building is just a function space. We booked a room (pool view) that we thought may be better but it was much worse because it’s over the patio restaurant where people are loud till late at night. Fine with the door closed but if you want fresh air it’s very loud. Don’t take that room. The interior of the hotel is a typical Hilton corporate traveller style. We also ordered utensils from room service to have our food that we got from outside in our room and it never came. Even after following up. The bathroom had no door. Just glass on the toilet and shower that doesn’t close properly so not much privacy there.

Disappointing, didn’t feel 5 star
Pros:

Outdoor pool

Cons:

Shower flooding on multiple occasions
Leak in outdoor area made it damp and dank
No electrical socket at the work desk
Lighting was rather subdued, and as my room was below ground floor, it felt unwelcoming
Rooftop terrace bar which had been advertised on booking.com as having “exceptional views over Porto, the ideal spot for sunset cocktails” was not open. On enquiring at the property about this I was informed it was only available for private functions. It should therefore NOT be in the advertising of the hotel as this influenced my decision to stay there.
