Friendly staff and good breakfast
One elevator still broke
The breakfast was not great. Little choice, food cold or overcooked. Variety nill. Have stayed in many Embassy Suites but this is the worst I ever have encountered.
Breakfast was poor, requested a disability room because I was traveling with my 94 year old mom in a wheelchair. Spoke directly with the hotel in Laredo and was assured it was ok. On arrival they told me it was not available and because I insisted they move me for the rest of my stay. Every uncomfortable to have to change rooms after one night. The disabled room had the space needed but the bathroom was a disaster. Every time someone bath the water ran all the way to the hall and sink area. We must have used 10 to 12 towels each day when bathing. One day was before a wedding and it was very difficult. Have used many disability rooms with walk in showers and never had that problem.
Location
Upon arrival system was down therefore we couldn’t get a key to the room; escorted to the room by mgr. We were told anytime we needed to get back in the room we could ask someone at the front desk; definitely an inconvenience. AC in the room wasn’t cooling. Bed was uncomfortable followed by flat pillows.
The location was great! Close to mall, movies, and restaurants. The staff was great. Our AC unit only went down to 70 degrees,, which is pretty normal for the area, so the staff brought me a fan and called to check that we were comfortable. Will be staying there again soon.
