The GHA is a wonderful hotel set atop a cliff and looking out at Mount Vesuvius, with a glamorous and majestic feel. It is located within walking distance of central Sorrento, but far enough away to have a calm, serene feel.
The garden lounge is peaceful, overlooking the Bay of Naples and the mountain, and a perfect place to read a book, enjoy a cocktail, or simply enjoy the stunning scenery. The stand-out, however, is the private beach. Accessible by an elevator built into the cliff and through a stone walkway, the beach area features an elevated dock with loungers and sun umbrellas, and a private swimming area protected by rocks. The beach club staff are a dream - friendly, attentive, and kind - and I enjoyed seeing them each day.
During my 5-day visit, I stayed in a suite which featured an entry foyer with two large closets, a lounge area with sofa and desk, a very comfortable king sized bed, and a small balcony with two chairs. The room was comfortable and quiet, and I loved the small details, such as USB charging ports throughout the space.
One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast. The dining area has a bank of windows that face Mount Vesuvius, offering a fantastic morning view. The food was tasty - omelettes and pancakes were a highlight, as was the fruit bar and selection of cheeses. As with the beach club, the staff in the dining area and throughout the hotel were a dream.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the Ambasciatori to others.

Wunderbare schattige Plätze mit einem exzeptionellen Blick auf den Vesuv. Das bietet selbst Capri nicht 😉

Zeer mooi hotel en perfecte ligging. De eigen zwemfaciliteiten aan zee was heel goed en zeer goede service. Zwembad idem. Mooie tuinen en terrassen. Echt super. Niet direct in het centrum echter met de taxi 3 min.

Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean rooms, traditional Italian style, amazing views and professional, smart staff. This is our second time to the hotel which we loved. The pool area and lido are also beautiful with amazing staff, and enjoyable to spend your days there. Unfortunately our stay this year was hugely spoilt by 3 weddings taking place in the week that we stayed. Instead of the usual impeccable service in tranquil surroundings overlooking the ocean, we were subjected to extremely loud party music, screaming, shouting and singing from the wedding party in the nearby garden of the hotel. Some of the guests dining in the outdoor restaurant decided to take their drinks to their rooms rather than sit in the noise disturbance from the wedding party. The hotel should advise guests of these weddings so instead of dining at the hotel, guests can choose to dine in Sorrento away from the party atmosphere. Or indeed during the day whilst laid by the pool in your swim wear, when wedding guests arrive and walk past you laid by the pool in their finery, we would have sunbathed by the lido that day rather than the pool area where it felt uncomfortable. Upon complaining to the hotel, they were not bothered or concerned, very poor customer service! It had made me rethink returning to this lovely hotel, they are more interested in receiving money from weddings than hotel guests. Very disappointing!

And the staff were old-fashioned five star trained…. Very rare as most hotels offer five star locations five star facilities but lack five star staff this hotel exceeded all the above.

My wife and I had a wonderful 10 night B&B at this hotel where we had stayed a couple of times previously. I rate the hotel as one of the best we stay in. Marvellous staff, delicious breakfast, lovely pools, and rooms. What else can I say. It has a Lido on the sea front which is free to use. The views from the restaurant across the Bay of Naples and to Capri cannot be beaten. All this is a 10 minute walk fro Sorrento's centre. We will be back.

The gardens are beautiful and we spent hours there sitting looking at the sea. Our room had a terrific view as well. Staff are extraordinary.
Absolutely nothing! We will go back next year for a week, just because we love it!
