The guy on reception was so helpful, good location
We arrived early at the property as we travelling from Surrey and had an event to get to, we waited in the bar whilst they finished preparing our room. The lovely guy on reception told us that someone has smashed a bottle of red wine on the carpet and there was some staining - he gave us free breakfast and said we could do it on room service.
We enjoyed our night out picked our breakfast and used the phone in the room to ring down but the phone didn’t work, we got ready to leave and noticed shards of glass under the table and in the bed so a thorough clean couldn’t have been done. The same lovely guy was on reception when we checked out and he gave us a free car park by way of apology for not being able to get breakfast - we got to the car park and the ticket he gave us didn’t work
Good sized room and well laid out with plenty of space. Nice sized bathroom (very high bath to step over for anyone with mobility issues - I’m just short!). Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast restaurant and area with a good choice of food and drink. Great security. Very clean in all areas. Lovely bar downstairs. Super location. Would stay again.
Paid more for a room with a fridge which didn’t work. Spoke with reception who advised it wasn’t really a fridge, more of a cooler. It’s had no cooling whatsoever and some snacks we bought had to be binned. Why advertise a room with a fridge when it isn’t one? They did offer a mini fridge but that wasn’t big enough to get a bottle in. Therefore, paid for something they don’t provide. Was also overcharged by £40 above the Booking.com payment which I didn’t see until I received my email invoice. However this was rectified the following day. The room was exceptionally hot even with air con at 19.
Bedroom was too hot and air con never worked. Spoke with staff at reception about this and nothing was done. Fridge never worked. Trouser press never worked.
Fabulous location for the theatre & shopping , just far enough away from the hustle & crowds of the city.
Room was very spacious and comfortable.
Lovely for what we needed it for .
Breakfast was good a lot on offer.
Location was perfect for the Hippodrome Theatre and not far from the main shopping centre and train station.
The room was warm, we turned the air con on and it would only go down to 19 and also extremley nosiy unit, we did report this when we checked out.
All good but the best wasn’t comfortable at all. Mattress was poor
