Mix feeling as my previous experience was fantastic
Pros:

Stayed previously had was impressed so stayed again this time and booked an ocean view room.
Like the pool area and being close to beach access and various shops and restaurants.
Staff friendly whenever engaging with them.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the room provided did not meet acceptable standards. Throughout my entire stay, the dishwasher was non-operational and toilet seat very loose. Furthermore, both the bedroom sliding door and the wardrobe door would not close properly severely compromised my comfort, meaning the accommodation was not fit for purpose.
Paying full price upon arrival. This is very disappointing and raised with staff upon checking out and reply was oh yes that room.

Very pleasant and relaxing.
Pros:

Location is great..we parked the car and walked everywhere.
Great access to cafes restaurants bars, beach and walks.

Cons:

Small appointments, simple ones like salt pepper olive oil not provided in an otherwise well
Well appointed room.

Pros:

The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to everything.
Staff were very helpful throughout our stay.
The clientele was lovely, a mix of families and older guests.
Pool was fantastic for our little one, despite the main pool being on the colder side, my kid loved it and used the slides and the hot tub daily.
Black out blinds were needed with the lovely sun beaming in.

Cons:

Had a few issues with our TV and the remote, they sent someone to fix but we believe it was actually the tv, so a bigger issue.
I found our bed to be a bit lumpy bumpy.
Slightly outdated furtniture but understood for the price and all else thats included

Calypso Oaks Coolangatta
Pros:

At check in room wasn't available until right on 2pm even though we were processed at 11am, but we were able to put car in car park and access facilities. Room was small and initially shower head would not stay up and bath plug didn't fit - next day these issues were promptly resolved. Minimal kitchen equipment - no chopping board, small sharp knife (and large knives were not sharp),ice cube tray, dustpan etc. Good amount of detergents etc. Building is showing signs of age. Older than many hotels in area, but cheaper and overall , once a few things were resolved, it proved to be adequate and brilliant location. Would probably stay again.

The facilities are beautiful..the staff are lovely...the position is magnificent

Cons:

The bed was really skinny...we requested 2 single beds...my husband is a large man...the mattress was old and uncomfortable...I had to fold up a mattress protector as padding on old mattress.
