I wouldn’t recommend in the current condition
Pros:

Clean room.

Cons:

There was significant construction works going on that we were unaware of that made the stay slightly uncomfortable. Checkin was delayed by 2 hours because the room wasn’t ready - we were offered one free breakfast due to this, however the breakfast offered was not good, we were told they hadn’t put on a full breakfast due to low numbers. The shower attachments had significant leaks, and the location is extremely tricky to drive in and out of.

Pros:

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort, and it was nothing short of magical—especially for a romantic getaway!

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu. Waking up in our luxurious king bed and stepping onto the balcony to soak in the stunning scenery was an unforgettable experience. The panoramic lake views are simply spectacular and make every morning feel like a dream.

The room was exceptionally well-appointed, featuring a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy for us to whip up breakfast together. After enjoying our meals, we took advantage of the heated floors, which were a delightful touch in the chilly mountain air.

When it came to relaxation, we couldn’t have asked for more. The gas fireplace created a cozy ambiance, making our evenings warm and inviting. Coupled with the electric heating, we felt completely at ease during our stay.

Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort has truly thought of everything, providing all the amenities we needed, including Sky TV, so we could unwind without any distractions. This was a perfect spot for couples looking to escape and enjoy quality time together.

In summary, if you're seeking a romantic retreat with unforgettable views and luxurious comfort, Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort is an unbeatable choice. We can’t wait to return!

Beautifully furnished apartments with plenty of space and amazing views. The staff were really excellent.
Pros:

Beautiful apartment with stunning view of the lake. Staff were excellent and went out of their way to assist.

Cons:

The dining room was closed due to insufficient staff and this made it hard when it is 10 drive minutes from town.
Also, it was a bit of a walk each day up to reception given the renovations.

Not the best value for your money since it’s a drive to downtown Queenstown.
Pros:

The room was clean but very small. It looks much bigger online. Very basic so keep that in mind when comparing other properties/location. We rented the “hotel room.”

Cons:

Very, very basic.

Pros:

I would avoid this place - there are a lot of other options in Queenstown to consider that would be less frustrating
Pros:

The bookings were done friends with whom we stayed. Although the view from the living area of 2-BR suite was stunning, a few items made us decide to leave a day early at our own expense. The second BR had no airflow (there was a vent in the ceiling, but when the A/C was turned on, there was no apparent air flow in or out); they pushed two twin beds together and advertised it as a Kingsize bed; the room was very small, but we were able to squeeze a floor fan in there to try to make it bearable to sleep. The staff was remarkably unresponsive. There was significant construction being done at the place which closed down the restaurant for lunch and dinner; we were told someone would staff the bar for any requests for drinks, but as soon as that manager departed for the remainder of our stay, the staff - a young woman in particular - refused to help with any bar requests. The most disappointing thing: both the hotel and Expedia did not disclose about the construction when our friend made the reservations about six months ago. About one month ago, he received an email about the construction, but at time it was too late to make changes without penalties. To add insult to injury, the walkway below the hotel that is next to the lake was closed due to construction, running 1-2 months behind on their published plans.

Dismal
Pros:

The property was a lot further out of the town than what we were told.
The rooms were not ready when we arrived and it was about an hour we had to wait.
Construction everywhere.
We paid $7,500 Australian dollars
For 3 nights and we had to empty our own bins you would think for that money you would have thought that there would have been room service.
The bathrooms were so small and my bedroom had no aircon.
You need to up your game for that kind of money and stop relying on the lake view.
Extremely Disappointed.

Cons:

The property was under renovation which was not ideal. To reach our rooms we had to walk through the underground carpark (which was very full and did not guarantee parking!). Our room was right next to the underground carpark which also didn't help as it was very noisy with cars coming and going, and lots of people walking by our room.

The room service was also strange and didn't really clean things aside from making the bed. One day, we came back to the hotel and all the rubbish and dirty dishes from the day prior were still there.

All-in-all, we paid 5-star prices for a 2-star stay.

Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Pros:

Beautiful views of Lake Wakatipu and a convenient location close to the city centre, shopping areas, and the Skyline. The accommodation was clean and well equipped with all necessary appliances.

Cons:

Parking spaces were a bit tight, though renovations were underway at the time. Charging extra for parking felt a bit unusual given the cost of accommodation. Including parking would improve the overall experience.
