Always my favourite place to stay in Bangkok
Everything
We got married at this hotel in 1998 so it has always had a soft spot for us. We have been back on a previous occasioned the hotel was still as I remembered it. Now unfortunately it has aged considerably. It is still well located and only a 10 min walk from one of the airport rail link stations. Good night market around and a couple go good shopping areas. The rooms are big and comfortable and clean.
If you are looking for a well priced place to stay in Bangkok, then this hotel would do well, but there are better options around.
Reception was a disaster. The staff are not well trained any more, bad language skills and not very forthcoming. Because we arrived earlier than the normal check in time, we were offered to check in earlier at a cost which we took. The hotels credit card machine did not work and I kept on being asked for a different card because their machine did not work or the operator did not know how to work it. After a reset it worked fine. I have an idea that cash might have been what was expected??. The entrance to the hotel is bleak and not as vibey as I remembered. A cash deposit is now also expected from guests, so I am afraid that standards have dropped considerable for what was one a 4 star establishment.
We had a long day and decided to have dinner at the hotels restaurant which ended up being closed at 20:45 but the hotel information stated that the restaurant was open until 22:00, which meant having to wander the area to find a place to eat.
We are going back to Bangkok again in a couple of days, but I will unfortunately not go back to the Indra Regent. Pity as there are/were some fond memories of this hotel.
Location & Proximity to main city and shopping streets
The property is dated. The price is good but for similar price you would get upgraded properties. The internal room spaces are big, but can be planned in a better way with modern amenities.
Excellent stay. Very comfy bed. Good buffet breakfast. Fantasic swimming pool.
No extractor fan in bathroom.
Some onsite facilities closed
Emplacement personnel tres sympa
Domage que certaines prestations ne sont plus le spa par exemple.
Prime location and good renovation
Could be more clean , specially deep cleaning , inside bed , edges filled with dust etc.
The Location
The Entrance smells terrible
The Same look and feel like our stay 20 years back
Breakfast Only caters for the Asian population
The room was clean and good. The swimming pool was nice
It is located in a busy area. Lots of noise. Evening everything is closed and not much to do.
The hotel is very close to the Pratunam markets.
This hotel feels deserted! There is no welcoming on arrival, no assistance with luggage. The reception is on the 2nd floor, again another deserted space with a bar (that was never open or staffed). We never saw anyone using the pool (no one in the pool area at all in our 5 day stay). The poolside bar was never staffed. Breakfast buffet was half inside, half outside (in which you had to go out through the restaurant check in, through another door to poolside for the other half of the food & then return back to the restaurant. The food was terrible! Very poor selection. We stayed in the Royal Suite, the room was very large/spacious, but wasn’t clean (several clusters of fake eyelashes were found on the floor ), the toilet didn’t flush properly and the beds were extremely hard. Traffic could be heard from our 16th floor room (as the markets were below). No balcony, no opening window. Aircon couldn’t be adjusted. The hallways of this hotel were always empty (did not feel like many people were staying there). We stayed 16 years ago and it was much different. This time was very disappointing. Would never stay here again. 👎
High floor, relatively peaceful with the exception of one or two idiots making noise.
Central location to airport metro station .
Idiots making noise, could not get extensions for check out due to late flight
Tout merci a tous le personnel
Good customer care
TV for UK visitors but I believe this is being looked at
Hea asukohaga puhas hotell koos lahke personaliga.
Väga mõnus basseiniala! Hommikusöök on suhteliselt tagasihoidlik, aga kõhu peaks täis saama.
