We had a girls’ great weekend! We stayed a cabin. On Saturday we went on the wine tour and had a blast!
Had a great time. Lots of things to do around the area. Off season was great because it wasn't as busy. We will be going back in season to experience all they have to offer!
Great location, nice relaxing atmosphere in a private cottage.
We visited at the end of February room was spacious 2 Queen suite, however we were placed in a Handicap suite. The desk did not explain the map, the third floor has no signs where rooms are located and was a hunt and seek. The shower has only one door that opens make water temperature adjustment impossible. You will either scold yourself or freeze since you have to be in the shower to adjust water temperature. That was a big negative, so please be aware if you do need handicap accessible room. I prefer partial lake view or lake view 2 bedroom suites have no balcony, tie windows with fake balcony rails. I asked for another room about 15 minutes after check in, front desk was less than helpful. But the young man in so many words said, being how much we paid, with my military discount there were no other available rooms for my family. So be aware if you use a military discount, and during reservations you know exactly what type of room you are getting. I have traveled to all Ohio lodges and this one is not it. We will not return!
Beautiful lodge on the lake!
clean, welcoming!
We booked a wine van tour at the Lodge at Geneva on the Lake. Don was our driver and he was excellent, he knows all about the wineries and who has sweet and dry wines and all about the food at each winery. He is a great asset to the Lodge. We enjoyed the tour immensely.
This was our first trip to the lodge at Geneva on the lakes. The staff were friendly. The hotel was very nice. The horizons restaurant the food was excellent. We had both breakfast and dinner there. The walking trails outside were very scenic. Would highly recommend it and we will go back.
The property is beautiful, the front desk was very warm and friendly.
The wine shuttle to local wineries was fun.
The view of the lake from our room was wonderful.
Dinner at the restaurant was delicious!
Our girls weekend at the lodge was amazing! The cleanliness of the rooms, various amenities, and furnishing quality were top notch. Service was exceptional and the dinner at Horizons was delicious. We could not believe the size of the suite! The convenience of the wine shuttle was perfect and the bus was very nice. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful walkable paths, lovely Lake Erie view. Friendly staff, clean room and facility. Wedding venue was clean and comfortable.
Great place to stay!
We and two other couples visited for a two-night stay. The lodge and property are beautiful and offer many amenities. After checking in, we made a visit to a local winery, returned to the lodge and had a delicious dinner in the lodge restaurant, and enjoyed making our welcome s'mores on the outside firepit afterward. On the second day, we had the buffet breakfast, which offered plenty of options and the food was very good. We found space inside to play cards and games while it was raining outside and, when the weather cleared, took a nice walk over to the marina. The pool area is gorgeous (although we didn't use it), with plenty of room, sprinkler for little ones, and plenty of games for families or groups. We had dinner at Allessandro's...a small, family-owned and run Italian restaurant which is well worth the short 10-minute drive (honestly, don't miss it!). We had the buffet breakfast again before checking out. The check-out process was super easy, just text OUT and drop the keys in the box by the door. We'll definitely visit again!
We had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. A very quiet atmosphere with excellent service, beautiful views of the lake and plenty of amenities. Wish we had brought our bathing suits to enjoy the 2 pools (indoor and outdoor) and the hot tub. The restaurant was quite good for dinner, and the breakfast buffet ample (worth the add-on to the room reservation). I absentmindedly left some clothes in the room at checkout, which were mailed back to me quickly. Definitely recommend!
First, the bed and especially the pillows were uncomfortable. Second, there was no microwave or frig in the rooms. We couldn't keep anything cold. That was a huge disappointment for me. For what the room costs, those to amenities should have been present.
It’s at the end of the strip, so you’re away from any hustle and bustle and noise. While it’s still even biker friendly! Definitely would stay again.! Great breakfast buffet too!
All of the anticipation I had in advance of our visit was met with exceptional service, beautiful views, and very fun and comfortable amenities and accommodations. We love the lake-on location, so close to the park and the many wonderful wineries, etc of the Grand River Valley. The exceptional outdoor areas really make this place stand out. The pools that are actually large enough to swim in (unlike so many hotel pools these days), the indoor swimming and hot tub, the on-site food, the cottages, and of course, the extra special draw of the outdoor lawn games such as bocce, chess, corn hole, and deck shuffleboard, really set things apart and are part of why we booked this close-to-home retreat. We loved being able to get questions answered via text and the staff did a great job at providing tons of helpful information during booking, at check-in, and throughout our stay. Once we checked in we did not leave until check out time, with the exception of taking the complimentary breach cruisers out on a few rides each day. The on-site dining was very tasty, classy, comfortable, and affordable and offered amazing views over the lake, especially at sunset. We only spent one night, but we easily could have made it a full long weekend. We can't wait to return and bring friends along next time to take advantage of all that there is both on site and nearby. Bravo!
everything was just perfect...the room, restaurant, bar...outside tables and benches were a nice feature ..
great location, close to Geneva, wineries and Ashtabula
