Would definitely be interested in staying again
Pros:

The spa was lovely and the gardens were luscious and relaxing. The rooms kept their old charm which we prefer in a hotel over modernisation

Cons:

The food was a bit disappointing but the effort of staff to accommodate made up for it

Overall good services for the price paid . Very clean and big too
Pros:

Breakfast consisted of toast beans scrambled eggs bacon sausage cereals etc enough for a consistent breakfast meal

Cons:

To access SPA you need to go outside first as it is in another building ( just few meters away)

Pleased that it was only 2 day stay
Pros:

Staff was pleasent

Cons:

Bedroom not fit to let, everything needs a coat of paint or complete renovation.
Breakfast room, old drink stains on floor which indicate that the room not been cleaned.

Lovely one night escape with beautiful room and good food
Pros:

Location, grounds and beautiful room and room

Cons:

The spa and pool area was looking a bit tired and the showers in the changing rooms would only stay on for 5 seconds at a time.

Venue was dissapointing, but nice staff
Pros:

The setting is lovely, and close to Caerleon and Usk, 2 areas we needed to be near.

Cons:

The hotel , especially rooms, and poolside have seen better days. Our room was quite tatty, with stained carpet, ceiling, and paintwork. The bathroom was also quite aged and tatty, with a loose toilet seat, bits missing from a taps and just dated and a bit grubby looking.
The bed linen was clean and the bed was comfy which was nice. Would have been nice to have had individual toiletries and e pected it for the price to be honest.
The whole hotel was also very cold, and the changing rooms for swimming were freezing, showers needing pressing repeatedly as stayed on literally for 15 seconds, so very cold though.
Staff were nice and friendly which was nice but the whole place has seen better days, is freezing and I did not feel it was good value for money at all.

Awful. Will never go again

Looks stunning in a great location

Cons:

Very dated. The bed frame was dirty. Paint peeling off the walls. All the walls were marked. Had to clean mould off the shower before we could use it. Only half the lights in the room worked. Windows were very dirty. Looks like the room was decorated about 40 years ago and has had nothing done to it since.

Dated and I would not say good value for money.
Pros:

The location was nice, the staff friendly and bed was comfy.

Cons:

It's very dated and quite tatty looking, also very cold. Rooms chilly, bar cold and changing rooms/shower area for pool is freezing. Decorating was very poor in room, and grubby looking.

Relaxed Stay Will Return
Pros:

Breakfast lovely but long wait for items and bit disorganised but we weren't in a rush. Staff really welcoming very friendly and helpful which made our stay even better. Some areas of hotel run down but we know it's being renovated in time and will definitely be back. Spa treatment excellent steam room not working bit disappointing but we had a lovely stay thanks.

Pros:

Lovely setting, close to Usk.
Large room with kingsize bed overlooking a bank of grass with roaming pheasants.
Lovely hot shower. Friendly staff on reception, in the gym, and in the restaurant at breakfast. Really good breakfast with a good selection.
Relaxing spa area with sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and pool.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable overnight stay.
