Lovely location, lovely hotel, wonderful stsff
Pros:

It's a wonderful hotel in a fantastic setting. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious with many areas refurbished. Despite a rather sad and dated restaurant, the food was surprisingly good, good portions and well priced.

Cons:

Hotel is a bit dated. Breakfast was okay, but not brilliant. Bar and restaurant could do with some freshening up.

Not what I expected
Pros:

The pool area was lovely and so relaxing until a family came in which can't be helped but maybe the hotel needs to look at a adults only time so you can unwind properly .

Cons:

The mattress was diabolical so uncomfortable , I had someone try get into my room gone midnight which set my anxiety off massively. Then around 2am there was a drunk couple under my bedroom window which woke me as they were getting into a altercation. I saw every hour never been so tierd apart from bringing my newborns home . Breakfast was standard . The evening meal was lovely good sized portions.

tHE WHOLE HOTEL THAT i SAW NEEDS A MAKEOVER, iT IS TIRED AND PAINT CHIPPED EVERYWHERE. gENERAL CLEANLINESS WAS AVERAGE. rOOM WAS ok BUT BATHROOM HAD NOT BE CLEANED JUST NEW TOWELS FOR 2ND NIGHT.

On the whole very relaxing would definitely go back
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with so much character, bedrooms we comfortable and spacious, pool was lovely and relaxing with lots of loungers !! Treatments were lovely
Food in the restaurant at night was good

Cons:

Some members of staff were a big lax at breakfast time and the spa changing rooms had the same dirty towels and robes which admittedly guests should of returned themselves to the trolley by reception for a couple of days

Probably wouldn’t stay again
Pros:

We got married here 16 years ago. The outside is still as charming, and there are nice features inside.

Cons:

Our room’s toilet didn’t flush, and when reported we were told to use the loo at the front of the hotel, so having to walk from the back of the hotel, past the restaurant, through the bar, past reception and then to the loos. Not great in the middle of the night!
They also added something to our bill in the restaurant that we didn’t have, but were very quick to refund it and gave us a complimentary drink.
Overall we felt like the building was just a bit grubby - hand marks on the doors, stains on some of the walls.
The restaurant was also out of stock of the majority of their food! And the breakfast, although a wide range of choice (served between 7&9.30am), when we went down at 8.30, the hot buffet items were all cold.

Generally, ok and the price reflected the facilities.
Pros:

Great location. Beautiful grounds. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

Cons:

Could do with a bit of an upgrade to the rooms. Our room only had lamps and out of 5 only 3 working. More plugs needed. The bathroom needed a good refurb. The shower was old but adequate. Sink cracked and taps missing the hot/cold disks. Toilet hard to flush. Although there were tea and coffee facilities, would have liked at least one bottle of water in the room.

Pros:

We loved our stay here. The superior room was spacious and quiet with a view of the grounds. The staff were lovely and helpful. The fresh fruit salad at breakfast was delicious and very much appreciated. The spa facilities, while needing a bit of an update, were basically fine and did the job! Very fun Greek theme to the pool! The setting in beautiful countryside was lovely, away from it the hustle bustle of everyday life. All in all a nice place to relax and I would stay again!

Cons:

Breakfast service was a bit minimalistic and hot water in flasks didn't make a very hot cup of tea. The spa changing rooms/shower area had an unpleasant odour, maybe the drains need unblocking.
