MY ROOM DID SMELL OF BLEACH IT WAS REALLY BAD I LEFT THE DOORS OPEN THEN LEFT FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS ON RETURN IT WAS STILL OVERWHELMING.
I RANG HOUSEKEEPING THEY SAID THE CLEANER MUST IF USED TO MUCH IN THE DRAIN AS THEY WERE HAVING TROUBLES WITH THE DRAINAGE.
THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE AVAILABLE BUT THEN I WAS OFFERED A ROOM THAT MUSTBIF JUST HAD SOMEONE LEAVE AS THAT ROOM AND QUICKY HAD THE ROOM CLEAN 🙄🙄 NOT HAPPY I KNOW I MUST SOUND LIKE A KAREN BUT APPARENTLY I PAID FOR A EXCUTIVE SUITE BUT A DOWNSIZED TO A JOKER SU.ITE

Value but not the cleanest
Pros:

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and bed was comfortable. Very central location, walking distance to most attractions.

Cons:

Unfortunately there were two cockroach’s spewing out from the carpet seams during our stay. Honestly this made us feel dirty the rest of the stay.

Clean comfortable room. A good value.
Pros:

The room was great, and the location was extremely convenient. The hotel is fairly basic and doesn't offer services beyond a clean, comfortable room, but the area has area has everything you need. The room did have a small refrigerator and coffee/tea, which was very nice. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. They had no problem holding our luggage for a few hours on the day we checked out. The hotel is a good value for over-priced Cairns lodging.

Cons:

Longer reception hours probably would be helpful, though we never had a problem when the desk was not staffed.

I arrived after reception closed at 8pm and I had to call their out of service number, who kept me holding on for long p
Pros:

It had a washing machine and dryer which was convenient for us. We liked that it had a balcony and a reasonable choice of tv channels.

Cons:

The property is old and old fashioned. It feels dingy and could do with refurbishment. The furniture is old and has cracks. The sofa in our apartment was not suitable for paying guests. Some of the furniture also seems unnecessary.
The cleaning in the rooms could be cleaned to a higher standard.
I would not stay here again.
