The property is gorgeous—definitely better than it looks online. And the food is fantastic! We absolutely loved our stay here. All of the staff is so kind.

Hotel Jardin Del Eden is a pleasant adults-only hotel with attractive gardens, a nice pool area and a good restaurant. The rooms were comfortable, and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, our experience of Tamarindo was overshadowed by something that the hotel may not directly control, but which has a significant impact on its guests.
One of the main reasons we travelled to Costa Rica was for its incredible wildlife and its reputation for respecting nature and animals. Everywhere else we visited exceeded our expectations, but Tamarindo was the one exception.
As guests using the hotel's beach access, we repeatedly witnessed horses being used for tourist rides that appeared to be in poor body condition, tied together for long periods in the intense sun with little or no shade and no obvious access to fresh drinking water. Seeing this day after day was genuinely upsetting and meant we avoided spending time on the beach because it detracted so much from our holiday.
We have reported our concerns to the relevant animal welfare organisations so they can assess the situation professionally, as we appreciate that only they can determine whether welfare standards are being met.
Although we were generally happy with the hotel itself, this issue had such a negative impact on our stay that we would not choose to stay in Tamarindo again. That is a real shame because every other destination we visited in Costa Rica was outstanding.
I hope the management at Hotel Jardin Del Eden will consider working with local authorities, beach businesses or animal welfare organisations to help improve this situation. As one of Tamarindo's best-known hotels, it has an opportunity to encourage positive change that would benefit both the animals and future visitors.
If this issue were addressed, we would happily consider returning. Until then, it is unfortunately the reason we would choose to stay elsewhere in Costa Rica.
The whole experience was wonderful. We travel all over the world and this was our 1st time to Costa Rica. We both fell in love with the country, most of all the people. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, a special thanks to Nathaly the waitress, she was so nice and full of information that we used. She is a credit to your hotel. I think the Hotel was the highlight of our stay. We will be back and will promote to family and friends
Nothing it is already perfect
The breakfast and dinner included were good. Best food I had was the steak - cooked perfectly! I was impressed with the staff's kind attention to detail. They were accommodating and efficient. The room was clean and well stocked with amenities. It was quiet and relaxing. I loved the beach garden!

The grounds, the pool and restaurant area are lovely. The breakfast and dinners are very good and it’s nice they are included.
Café da manhã completo em um restaurante muito agradável, junto da piscina que é muito bonita. A aérea da piscina é paradisíaca. Toda jardinagem e vegetação fazem parecer um verdadeiro jardim do éden. A comida é deliciosa, e todos os funcionários muito simpáticos e prestativos. A localização é excelente com acesso a praia e um anexo beira-mar com piscina e bar.

It was a pleasure to stay in the hotel.
Small, cozy, surrounded by beautiful nature hotel gave us a comfort and relaxation. The hotel is close to the ocean, and it’s an advantage. All staff is welcoming, and professional. Food is exceptional. I want to mention about activities (yoga, salsa, meditation, Pilates ) and all instructors deserve additional appreciation and respect.

Kitchen staff and front desk provided and excellent service, friendly, very attentive and willing to go the extra to make our stay even better.
Wish the view at the romantic room down below wasn’t that hidden. but was able to change room to a better view of the ocean.
The staff were the best! At your service. The Spa girls surprised me with a birthday cake. This is our go to for a real treat. Our 3rd stay.
No problem at all.
We loved the private walkway down to the beach. It was lined with beautiful plants and played a fun song every time you walked through it. The beach club was so clutch to get away from the hustle and bustle of the beach crowd. We loved the plunge pool at sunset and there always seemed to be a cabana available. I think due to the small size of the hotel, it just felt like there was always plenty of space to have privacy and relax. The garden itself is so magical with beautiful plants and flowers. The food at breakfast and dinner was excellent and we enjoyed it very much even though we tend to avoid all inclusive resorts.
The bed was a bit stiff for my taste but that seemed standard in Costa Rica. Totally not the hotel's fault but bring loads of bug spray. We brought some but ran out and had to buy more. As soon as the sun goes down, the bugs come out fast. Those tropical mosquitos are no joke!

Everything. The hotel was very clean, I saw them cleaning all the time. Hotel is in the perfect location in town. Staff are very nice and friendly.. Breakfast was great. Love love love my sound bar healing session…
I think they could add a few adult / couple activities. And maybe offer lunch, if it’s more cost affective, they can do what they do for dinner, ask people the night before if they are interested in lunch the next day and have a per set choices. It would also be nice to have beach chairs right on the beach. Oh yes, maybe get a golf cart to bring people to the beach, that walk not long but not short… I also think they should maybe add a dish from the culture for dinner.
Beautiful grounds, amazing food, friendly staff, quiet location, morning yoga and monkeys all made our stay here relaxing and beyond enjoyable! Can’t wait to come back!
