Bath tub panel was laying in the floor. I went to the desk, they said someone would be up to fix it. Nobody showed up. Manager was also aware of the situation. Nobody called to check if things were taken care of We were supposed to have a queen bed. It was a double

Have to ask for linens daily, coffee, creamers, etc. the shampoo etc attached to the wall- as someone who uses the tub it was a pain to stand up get shower gel- sit back down. Stand up get shampoo, sit and wash my hair and stand to get conditioner…

Ice machine didn't work. The elevator in the parking garage was broken. I saw many older people struggling to go 5 flights of steps. That should not happen get the elevator fixed!!! Or offer to get the car for them for no charge.

Pros:

the room was very nice. The water pressure was awesome, but I was unable to get any hot water mid-day. (Always plenty morning and nighttime.) The kitchenette and separate bedroom was very nice. The large dining table was excellent for playing games, etc. The staff was very friendly. The resort and room were attractive.

Cons:

Parking was HORRIBLE!! We had no interest in paying and tipping a valet. We prefer to park ourselves and the parking was quite far from the hotel. The lobby was not welcoming. Not one seat to sit on while waiting. We made reservations quite early and requested to be on the same floor as our friends. We were 4 floors apart.

Don't use the Hilton Ocean Club on Virgina Beach

Absolutely nothing other than the location

Cons:

Room was not cleaned and previous dirty sheets left in a pile on the bed. Took the night manager 30 minutes to bring clean sheets. Did not have a fitted sheet so used flat sheets that were the wrong size. Our Kitchen sink bubbled up with unit above dishwasher water. If not for my husband using the trash can and bailing out water it would have overflowed. Now we know we're the horrible smell and wet carpet came from. Bathroom floor was not cleaned. There was something slippery spilled on it. My husband used a bath towel to clean the floor. It was so dirty. We only got two towels so had to share a towel since my husband cleaned the floor with one...this was between midnight and 1 am due to our late check in. Horrible start to a vacation. There was no coffee and when asked about it, the am. male desk staff told me if I wanted coffee I would have to fill out a survey and walk across the street for coffee from the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. When booking, we wer not given a room number. DO NOT stay in room 201B. It is directly above the pool/bar that stays open with music until 11 am and then starts at 6am with workers slamming a metal fence gate. We also had to deal with workers at 7 am replacing the rolling shutter for the bar. Welding and sawing and grinding all before 8 am. The parking garage elevators did not work. So my husband who just had knee surgery had to walk flights of stairs. Forget trying to use the front enterance round about for drop off/pick up. It was bumper to bumper and a 15- 20 minute wait to get a car around it. There was a very weak apology from both the night and day front desk manager. No offer to compensate us even with a late check out. We were told that Hilton subcontracted the cleaning out and they had nothing to do with the lack of a clean room.
