The Hotel Hot Springs

The Hotel Hot Springs is in a great location, especially if you are attending a conference or event at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Our room also had a microwave and refrigerator, which were convenient during our four-night stay.

For those driving, the parking garage is located about one block away from the main hotel building and is not directly connected to the hotel. There is also free street parking and a limited number of parking spaces along the side of the hotel.

Unfortunately, we experienced several cleanliness and maintenance issues in Room 310. There were gnats around the sink faucet, and the shower was not draining properly. Someone came to the room, removed hair from the drain, and the shower did drain better afterward.

Most concerning, we encountered what appeared to be cockroaches in our room on multiple nights, and I have photos documenting them. After I reported the problem to the front desk, someone was sent to the room and put down powder to address the issue. Unfortunately, we continued to encounter cockroaches afterward, including another one on our final night. Repeatedly finding cockroaches during a four-night hotel stay was unacceptable and made us very uncomfortable.

The complimentary breakfast was also very disappointing. My husband tried it the first morning and never went back for the remainder of our stay—and he usually likes just about everything. We honestly could not tell whether what was being served was actually eggs.

At checkout, I spoke with the manager about our experience. He listened to my concerns, refunded one night of our stay, and indicated that he would address the pest, drainage, and gnat issues. I appreciated his response and willingness to address our concerns.

The location is excellent for the Convention Center, and I appreciate how the manager handled my concerns at checkout. However, the repeated pest and cleanliness issues significantly affected our stay. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recommend The Hotel Hot Springs.

Proximity to events and places

My bed had stained sheets and a roach crawled across my room. The food at the hotel restaurant is really bad. Stay at the Embassy Suites instead.

The location was great

The location was great. Walking distance of the Bathrow Houses and minutes from the casino.

Me and my husband came for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the bar and grill and loved that the hotel is in walking distance to the Strip and minutes away from the casino.

Good place to stay for location to downtown. Bathrooms did NOT have any vent fans. Make sure you a room ABOVE flour 4, or your window view just might be the building HVAC units. We were on 5, it was "okay."

We always stay at Hotel Hot Springs because the walking distance to downtown is short. Parking was absolutely horrible this time and I refuse to pay for the parking building that is not in great condition itself. The carpets in the hallway were extremely dingy/stained and needed a really good cleaning or even replacement. The air conditioner in our room needed cleaning and I do believe that the dusty mold in the air conditioner is what caused me to have bad headaches while there. The ice machines on my of the floors are broken and need to be fixed.
