Dirty and poorly cleaned. Non-smoking room that smelled like smoke.
Clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent. A nice, quiet place to stay. Great parking and check-in with an off-motorway petrol station just down the road.
Give the hotel a good makeover, and it would be up there with the more modern hotels. Small bathroom. All rooms are a bit tired and have old furnishings.
On the whole, facilities were fine and acceptable for a 1 night work stay.
Bed was no more comfortable than sleeping on a concrete slab. I even pulled the mattress from the sofa bed and put that on top and i was still very uncomfortable and barely slept. Staff were slow anf often quite miserable. Most of the time i felt like i was inconveniencing them in some way.
The staff were very helpful even when we know they were stretched. Abbey at reception was excellent. The restaurant staff and leisure center staff were all very helpful. Dinner was very good for an included menu!!
Well the bathrooms are very very dated, but they are clean so its ok.
Spa was great. Very slippy to walk around though .
Bar closed early. Room abit dated. Disruptive people staying next door to our room. Very very loud at 7 in the morning.no consideration.
Breakfast was fantastic! Bed comfy. Staff friendly.
No door to sink area
Washbasin very close to door to corridor
Inadequate shelving in bathroom despite unused space behind door
Mirror opposite wash-basin exposes guest if main door opens
Radiator was on 26º - hard to work out controls, so had to switch off
Bath tap didn't produce very hot water
Coffee bar was often unmanned, hard to get served
Clean tidy and well organised
No lift
Breakfast was OK, but the plates were cold making my breakfast cold. The room was a good size but a bit tired, especially the bathroom.
I didn't like the communal areas much. There filth down the back of the chairs. I gave up pointing out the filth on service doors, the bar areas. Worst of all were the door handles for the communal toilets on the ground floor. The blobs of black mould on the bottom of the handles. Yes both handles. Caused me to use bog roll to open the door. DISGUSTING.
Lovely big room, friendly staff, nice pool
Breakfast ok but not everything it said on the menu, sliced bread, no cheese
There was a shower
Unpleasant staff extremely rude children running and screaming about excessively until after 12am which made us vacate the property dirty bathroom
Very good quality hotel, staff excellent, room good size bed comfortable.
The car park was disgusting and worrying. The Disabled parking bays were scattered with discarded rubbish, beer cans and most unsanitary smells and waste. A real blight on an otherwise excellent stay
No drinking water bottle provided, so called the reception to request one, but nobody responded.
Only one poor quality pillow per person was provided and the beds kept giving squeaky noise, so I couldn't sleep the whole night.
Great for 2 disabled people. Beds are so comfy. Swimming pool and disabled changing area are great. Food is lovely with the half board. Waiter and chef are amazing.
The doors are too heavy for wheelchairs. Need something to clip them back so we can go through them.
