was good - cheap & ok for a place to stay

Dreadful!!!
Looks like a building site. Shower flooded the bathroom in 2 minutes. Cold. No power by bed.

Staff lovely. Room clean. Only problem was fire alarm going off at 05.30

Lovely big shower, but you wait 10 minutes for the trickle of hot water.
They are doing up the hotel, but clearly on a tight budget.
Internet tv only, which keeps loosing signal.

On the positive, comfortable bed and my room was away from the road and hence very quiet. Warm welcome from receptionist, who walked me to my room, but he did not offer help with my bags.

We just needed somewhere to crash as wasn't planning on being in room for long.

Room was okay, we were not expecting much and got what we expected.

Was not expecting what looked like mould on the bathroom ceiling and for the shower to be impossible to get to a useable temperature. Either freezing cold or scaulding and if by some miracle it did get set to a useable temperature, it changed after about 15 seconds.

Room was clean and good size , the bed was comfortable , everything you need for 1 night. Could do with nets on windows .

Excellent value for money

Better than anticipated but obviously a work in progress. No restaurant or bar.

Very helpful and pleasant staff, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

I stayed here a few times (8 or 9). It’s being renovated.
The last two times, one I had no towels lucky I had my own as I did not notice until I was out of the shower. And the other the shower was scalding or freezing.
This time there was brown water coming out of the shower and the pressure was very poor. I asked for another room which was given instantly. The new room had very poor water pressure also. I needed a shower before I went out for a meal. This was not possible. I packed my stuff and gave the key back. Went for my meal and the booked a travel lodge. Money lost !!!!

Stank or mould/damp. Place is literally a building site. Had to unplug the tv to use the kettle!

Bathroom was decent.

Hopefully better when building is finished.

Very low pressure in the shower so the water practically trickled out. The bed & pillows were uncomfortable. At 2am I packed my bag & went to sleep in my car

Hotel seemed to have only just been taken over from a closed down establishment. They had no services available and the hotel smelled musty as though vacant for a very long period. Not Very Nice!

Friendly staff great price for the stay

What a place. The construction work is massive and all over the property. No bar, room has damp. It’s the sort of place you don’t want to take your shoes off

Place is a building site / total misrepresentation . Don’t stay here it’s dangerous and ait is run badly by this company

Cold room - 1 wall mounted electric heater that looked like it would fail any electrical safety inspection (half of the knobs missing).

Shower in the morning had no temperature control, it was so hot you couldn't stand it under and nothing made it cooler. Evidently no cold feed to the shower and boiler temp set too hot.

It['s cheap but it's rough.

No bar or restaurant. Very dated. No air-con, so had to keep the windows open and could hear constant traffic from the A12. Hotel was a building site. Some rooms have been refurbished but to a very low quality and unfinished. I have stayed in better hotels for less money than I paid for this one. Didn't feel safe. Anyone could walk on-site and around the hotel. No locks on corridors walkways or stairwells. No security.
