Hotel Edelweiss

The hotel has a good location that is easy to walk to the train station or the center of the old town. The staff was kind and check in was easy. I had the most basic room category and it was as expected: simple and the bed was comfortable. It is a 3 star hotel and it feels like that. Definitely could use some updates in the shower for example. The highlight was the breakfast! Really nice spread and super cute little restaurant that feels like you are in a cabin in the Swiss Alps. Very cozy and pleasant. I think they do Fondue at dinner time too.

Unfortunately my biggest complaint is that the smell of my room was not good. It smelled like a hamster. eeek. I really hate to say that but it was not pleasant. I'm not sure why it would smell like that and maybe I don't want to know. It was very strong smelling in my opinion and something needs to be looked at there. Could have been the carpet or rotting wood.

This hotel is just so beautiful and so very quaint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the location. They lent us umbrellas which proved so nice in the rainy weather.

The hotel is very nice with a great localization with good attractions nearby ,room very comfortable and a fabulous breakfast !

What a charming hotel with the best hotel front desk staff. So helpful and friendly. Upon entering, we were greeted with a smile and kind words. Our room was on the 5th floor facing the back and was quiet. The bathroom was very clean and large with lots of areas for storing items. Housekeeping came every day and did a fantastic job on the room and replenishing items. The bed was very comfortable with shelves and outlets next to the bed for items. There was a closet with shelves next to the bed as well as 2 additional closets. The room also contained a safe and coffee/teas.

The front desk staff will assist in making reservations in the restaurant next door. So good - don't miss the chance to eat here. Breakfast was included and held in the same room and is quite good with many options. They are also quite knowledgeable about the area and helpful with recommendations and suggestions.

The hotel is walkable from the Geneva train station, but using the bus system with the travel card made it much easier and faster. The bus stop is literally across the small park in front of the hotel. The Christmas market was very walkable from the hotel and so was the area of Jet d'Eau fountain.

A great hotel with great staff.

We stayed here for 1 night in December. The hotel is in a great location, beautifully decorated and rooms are great. The reception lady was really helpful and gave us a map and showed us where everything was. Breakfast was great too, lots of choice. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location- 10mins walk from main train and bus stations and 5 minutes walk to lake. Lovely reception area, comfortable rooms. Good value for Geneva.

Good location (a little far 10 min walk from the main train station) where there’s restaurants and supermarkets within 1-2 min walking distance. The room size was also good but toilet was a little tight squeeze.

Great location. Rooms lovely, spacious and well laid out. Staff extremely helpful nothing was to much trouble. . Loved our stay here.

The hotel was lovely and good value for money. It was in a good location, walking distance to most places. The food was lovely and the restaurant was great for dinner - we enjoyed the music and entertainment. Overall a great place to stay in Geneva.

At first the room view was a construction site but the receptionist was so nice they changed our room on the second night and refunded the first night

What a pleasant stay! My husband and I arrived early from our flight. The lovely welcoming lady I think called Anastasia went above and beyond. As soon as she discovered from my passport that my birthday was on the date of our arrival, we were upgraded. We ventured out and on arrival back to the hotel, there was wine and chocolates left in the room. What a superb surprise. Thank you soo much! You made a very sad time for me a very happy 1.

We never had food in the hotel but our room was beautiful and clean and comfortable. Nescafé coffee M/C. Water provided. The bathroom was also very nicely decorated and extremely clean with everything you need. All of the staff were very friendly. The restaurant looked lovely but we were out quite alot.

The hotel is within a 10 minute walking distance to the bus station and train station and about 3 minutes to the Lake. Really good situation!

I would recommend the hotel and will definitely be back.

This hotel is lovely in all regards. Immaculately clean, with windows opening for fresh air, loads of closet space, and charming wood carvings on doors and cabinets in traditional Swiss motifs. I liked that the tram lines to the center of the city and Old Town were 1/2 block from the hotel. The service of the front desk staff, Pierre, Anastasia and Virginie was congenial and professional. They went out of their way to share ideas of things to do nearby and how to navigate the public transportation system (the hotel even gives you a free pass on all buses and trams in the city for the duration of your stay). I highly recommend the Hotel Edelweiss.

Wonderful staff with particular mention to Virginie. Comfortable clean room in central location and fantastic breakfast with great selection of special items including ginger shots, flaxseed and pumpkin seeds which are not always available.

I've traveled to Geneva 2-4 times a year for the past 4 years, and I make a point of always staying at Edelweiss. There are lots of great boutique hotels in Geneva but this one - besides being beautiful, cozy (amazingly comfortable bed!), and so walkable to the water and main train station - is like a home away from home. The staff make all the difference. They go above and beyond for every guest. Sometimes its little things, like an extra chocolate or flowers in the room, and sometimes its helping you find an emergency doctor in the middle of the night. If you're traveling to Geneva and want a quiet and charming place for respite, this is it. Thank you to Dorothee, Pierre, Francesco, Margaux and the whole Edelweiss team!

I stayed for 4 nights and went to self managed day trips to Chamonix and Annecy by coach.

2 bus stops away from either Geneva Train Station and Central Bus Station. 2 blocks away from Geneva Lake, Coop supermarket is just on the other side of the street, All in all, I would have given 6 stars for its location.

The only reason I gave overall 4 stars is due to the renovation works on the roof top carried out on 13 October. There was ventilation problem with smell of drainage remaining in the lobby for 2 days.

Room is of good size and in good condition that I appreciated.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful Quiet room. Easy to access with public transport. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything we wanted for this short stay in Geneva. Highly recommend
