Pros:

The Parmelia Hilton in Perth makes all the other Perth hotels look like they are run by penury amateurs.

Cons:

The woman on the front desk upon arrival at the outset was rather affected and to be honest if I wasn't a confrontational personality I would have walked away upset and without a room.I gave her my id and debit card and then pulled out my cash for payment and she rather abruptly says " sorry we don't take cash payments". I stated "that's strange I always pay with cash" and her reply "No it's a policy of the hotel we don't take cash" I then entered the booking site which states the hotel policies and pointed out that the hotel does take cash. In reply to that she said "well we try to discourage cash payment because we don't hold much in the till and its hard to get change" I handed her $280 and said " keep the change" she then took my payment and completed the transaction in a friendly manner. I think for her and the hotels benifit a brushing up on hotel policy would not hurt. I don't say this to hurt the young woman's position in the company like I said she findlised our transaction in a good manner it was only at the start. Thanks
