The location. The balcony. The bed.
Poor breakfast + food finishes before the closing time. The spa was dull and unclean.one of the staff was rude. The heating not working when we wanted to increase the temperature. The ski heating didn't work.

Kandahar is a beautiful old alpine style hotel right in the middle of val-d'Isaire, very clean with great staff (all fluent in English) and everything is easy ...ski-lockers opposite the front door and 10 minute walk to all the big lifts

Excellent locker room for ski equipment, boots etc.
It would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities readily available if possible. A kettle was provided on request.
A lovely well-positioned hotel. We stayed here during our ski trip in Val d'isere and it did not disappoint. It has a warm and cosy feel to it. Our room was cleaned every day, staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Room facing the street was slightly loud despite using the shutters, but waking up to the mountain view was worth it,.
Pillows were very uncomfortable.

The Kahandar Hotel did and had everything we needed. Great location, a very short walk to everything, including the slopes! We were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 & 11). and had a family quadruple room. The children loved the bunk beds and although the room was compact it had all we needed. The reception and bar areas are nicely decorated and the staff were efficient, although not overly warm/friendly. It doesn’t have a pool (we knew that of course!) but the local AquaCentre is a few minutes walk away and is great. Overall great value and would return.

C'est un bel hotel et le staff est très sympathique. Malheureusement, meme pendant "une semaine calme", le bruit des gens dans la rue est horrible toute la nuit. Peut-Être il y a d'autres chambres plus tranquille. Je n'ai pas demandé car nous étions là que deux nuits.

Vi har bott i Val d'Isère i sju år och för oss finns det inget bättre hotell!! Första gången på detta hotell och vi har aldrig känt oss mer avslappande, väl bemötta och upplevt bättre service nivå!!! #inlovewithkandahar
