Excellent location to walk or take a short bus ride to the Old City of Jerusalem.
I like the location - near the Old City. I don't like the bathroom wherein you can find mildew in several areas on the walls and floor. The room was very small for 3 adult persons. On our first night, there was no person on the reception desk.we called several times but no answer.
Great staff and location
It was a great price. I was not oaying for glamour or glitz. Shower was great. Towel service and linen were good. Room was clean. Could walk to the wall if your an estute traveller. Staff were quiet but friendly.... i would stay there again.... it was a good motel.... a place to sleep and venture out from...
Evrything was broken did not work out
I wanted something in keeping with the area and not a sterile chain hotel and this was it. I liked the location on the slope of Mount Olive, passing by Gethsemane as I usually walked in and out of the city - with Bus stops close to the Hotel if required. Room was big enough, comfy bed, decent shower and A/C plus a safe that was actually easy to use for a change :) I liked the basic but good breakfast but not entirely impressed with plastic/styrofoam beakers/cups but compensated by cooked to order omelettes.
Excellent place to stay, clean rooms, nice breakfast, great staff especially Layla
They were all supportive, helpful and kind.
Approx 12 min walk from Al Aqsa, busses easy available to catch.
This hotel was disgusting and is below any human standard. The sheets were stained and the replacement sheets were so old they had tiny balls on them from being washed so much. There is NO WIFI except in the lobby. Not only did I sleep in my clothes but I could not turn off the lights because the switch was connected to the outlet and when it was turned off you cannot charge laptop/phone. If you’re not a member of the Addams family go elsewhere cause this place is a DIVE!! The parking lot was a trash pit and the whole place was just downright creepy and unsafe for a single woman. Run, don’t walk to ANY OTHER hotel or sleep outside. The dirty ground will def be cleaner.
Some reception staff not very friendly, fridge and heater not working. Poor customer service
Staff was nice
Was very difficult to pull this hotel up on google maps, I don't know why. A taxi driver refused to take us because he couldn't find the place either. When we did get a driver, he also had some difficulty locating the hotel. The sidewalk and outside entrance was very dirty and uninviting.....cigarette butts and trash all over. Not pleasant. The bathroom was modern and updated, but the furniture definitely needed to be updated. The carpet was absolutely filthy and worn. This hotel needs some work and would not stay here again until some renovations are done. The positive was the staff, they were extremely helpful and courteous.
The staff deserves 10 stars, I was so impressed by the friendly and helpfulness of the staff. They made of our stay a great experience. Layla, Yusef, Mustafa and the young ladies at the front desk were awesome, they went above and beyond to help us. They are conveniently located at the Mount of Olives and accessible to public transportation, very close to the Old City. I will definitely come back to the Commodore Hotel.
This was a comfortable and peaceful place to stay in a busy and sometimes tense city. The room is not fancy but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very good. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
People ar very friendly and help you in whatever you need. It is not a luxurious hotel, but they offer you a good priece & services to stay. I enjoyed very much my stay at Commodore.
The staff is great! The man that works at the breakfast room is so sweet. A great man. We love him.
Helpful staff, friendly, Room was OK (but small), complained about late night construction work and loud drilling and banging noises from kitchen below, which they kindly stopped around 11pm. Windows could do with superior sound insulation, being woken up early hours for Muslim early prayers from loud speakers close by was frustrating. Also annoying, they had no evening meal / dinner service, do to lack of guest numbers, only serve dinners when they have booked tour groups in the hotel. Otherwise a comfortable stay.
The only good thing about this hotel is that is close by to the old city of Jerusalem but staff are good people and the breakfast was fair but what i didn't like was the loud siren stlye Muslim Pryer at 5 in the morning and 6 and at noon and at 5 evening that blast right Thur the room at all part of the day and I mean no offense but I love my sleep and that didn't sit well with me and the dirty stares because it's a Muslim community all around and there is a tense conflict with other Faith's which I think is fair to state because people come and don't know what there in for plus the room carpets need upgrade bad to much dust in the room... And with that it's fair to say I will not be coming back....
Not very comfortable. Terrible bad, pillows, room carpet, noisy, very outdated. Staff are friendly though.
Real middle eastern experience, area felt completely safe, people friendly
Fine hotel, everything there, clean, and the breakfast was good.
