Family wedding brought us the area!
Pros:

Beautiful community! Lots to see and do. We were here for a family wedding. Held at a venue close by. Did some sightseeing as well.

Best Front Desk Agent Ever
Pros:

Our stay at the Residence Inn Manassas was made special by Tiffany at the front desk.
The first day we arrived she had warm greetings for us and “welcomed us home 😊.”
She was always friendly & helpful and willing to accommodate us. She is very capable of managing all aspects of the front desk and went above and beyond to make us comfortable.
Tiffany is special and I hope the Residence Inn Manassas recognizes what a gem they have!

One bad egg at the front desk managed to spoil the whole stay.
Pros:

I stayed at this property from April 27th through May 8th and have stayed here before. Unfortunately, this stay was a very different experience. This time, the staff—particularly at the front desk—were extremely unhelpful.
A couple of days into my stay, Tiffany at the front desk informed me that I would need to check out of my room and move to a different one because someone else had booked it. When I originally checked in, Gary had upgraded me to a larger room with a better kitchen. Tiffany later told me that Gary should have informed me that the upgrade would require me to move rooms after a few days. However, Gary never mentioned this, which understandably led to a negative reaction from me.
Tiffany responded by stating that this situation was not her fault and that Gary should have told me. While fault wasn’t my primary concern, there was no acknowledgment or attempt to de escalate the situation. Instead, she focused solely on criticizing my reaction, abruptly ended the conversation, told me to go on my way, and refused to help me any further.
Had Gary informed me upfront that I would need to move rooms during my 11 day stay, I would not have accepted the upgrade. There was a complete lack of communication. Tiffany ultimately placed the blame on me, which I felt was unfair. Additionally, I would have been willing to move rooms politely if some form of compensation had been offered—such as bonus points to my account or even a complimentary market item—to account for the inconvenience of packing up and relocating. No such consideration was offered.
After this interaction, it became very uncomfortable coming in and out of the hotel. I found myself avoiding the front lobby and minimizing interactions with staff due to the situation that had unfolded. I was effectively “ghosted” for the remainder of my stay and did not receive any maid service at all. This was especially frustrating because I had received a note stating that housekeeping needed access to my room the following day for a welfare check and cleaning, and I was asked to remove my do not disturb sign. Despite this, there was still no housekeeping service for three days afterward.
While the hotel itself is clean and well maintained, my experience with Tiffany—and the lack of initial communication from Gary—caused the situation to escalate quickly and left a very bad impression. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Excellent experience, comfortable and very clean
Pros:

Very new, and clean environment, quiet off the main drag and convenient to Manassas Battlefield visitors center and I-66. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms. We had a King bed with kitchenette. The most comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. It would be a nice place for short term work stays. Wonderful breakfast buffet to get the day started.

Shouldn’t be 4.4 stars
Pros:

The heater/AC units are extremely noisy and vibrate your brain out all night. not super clean either, just ok. no idea how it has 4.4 stars.. i’d give it 3.5 at best. i’m leavin one star to help bring down the average so people like me don’t think this place is actually 4.4 good…

Exceptional Care During a Difficult Stay — Thank You, Tiffany!
Pros:

Our stay at this Marriott coincided with an exceptionally difficult and stressful time for our family, and every member of the staff—from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance—has been truly wonderful.

I want to especially recognize Tiffany at the front desk, who has been exceptional. She treated us not just as guests, but like genuine friends—showing kindness, patience, and empathy at every interaction. She took the time to understand our situation, helped us navigate logistics, and consistently checked in on us with care and professionalism.

It takes a special kind of person to provide this level of service during extraordinary circumstances. Tiffany’s compassion made a lasting difference for our family, and the entire team helped us feel supported when we needed it most. Marriott should be very proud of the people working here.

January snowstorm
Pros:

We stayed at The Residence Inn in Manassas VA for 3 days during the snow/ice storm(Jan. 24-26). The entire staff were phenomenal. They were plowing the parking lot, shoveling and snowblowing and salting the walkways all day and night. The staff throughout the storm were friendly, accomodating, and fully dtaffed each day. The breakfast each morning was excellent. Everone went above and beyond to ensure all the guests were comfortable.

Rundown
Pros:

Good location. Run down hotel. Front desk staff incredibly nice. Breakfast not worth it. Expensive for poor conditions. Toilet ran all night. Air in pipes every time we tried to turn water on. Linens and bedding dingy. Won’t come back.

I wouldn't stay here again.
Pros:

The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Cons:

We didn't sleep the first night due the noise level coming from a busy road. The staff was very accommodating and put us across the hallway in a room that faced the back. This certainly made it easy to move our belongings, but the second room had a slight odor of food and twice we found stink bugs. It just wasn't very clean, the bed sheets were rough and the pillows were not great. Unfortunately we still didn't get good sleep because the garbage truck drove by twice around 5AM during our short stay.

The Only Hotel We Will Stay In, When In This Area ~
Pros:

This Residence Inn is our go to here in Virginia. From the jump, it has been Outstanding each of the 3 times we have stayed within the past ten months. Such a lovely property, situated with easy access and a very welcoming team - you are happy as soon as you enter, ha. We take the 2 bedroom suite and adore the fireplace & quite cozy living room. The Battlefield art on the walls is beautiful! This hotel is Exceptionally clean, well appointed and I so appreciate the very lovely 4 star touches that the housekeeping teams add Every time. The kitchen linens are always folded into beautiful shapes, ditto with both of the bathrooms & you Do feel pampered! :)
My husband loves the wonderful hot breakfast and I am partial to their Rain Forest coffee. Very open & charming room for breakfast with another fireplace:) and huge picture windows letting in a ton of natural light. I have been a Hyatt girl the past 4 years, and a very frequent traveler, but Marriot has been winning me over, with each & Every visit!! There are 4 star hotels who could take a page from this Residence Inn. Thank you for another fabulous stay ~

Manassas Residence Inn Has the Most Fantastic Service
Pros:

I am a Titanium member and am familiar with all levels of Marriott hotels. This is one of the best Marriott hotels! Service from everyone was excellent and I must compliment Tiffany, the most, and she works at the front desk. She is very attentive and helpful. Tiffany was working one of the most stressful travel times, Thanksgiving week and was so pleasant even when very busy with so many customers. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast service was great. I had a 2 night, 3 day stay and will definitely come back here again. I would highly recommend this Residence Inn!
