Cons:

The hotel itself is lovely — the room was a good size, breakfast was generous, and the staff service initially seemed welcoming. Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by a persistent loud rumbling noise caused by a plumbing issue, which made it very difficult to sleep.
What was most disappointing was the response from reception when we mentioned it the next day. There was no real apology, only that they would “let maintenance know.” At breakfast, we were seated near another couple who were also complaining about the same noise, so it seemed the hotel was already aware of the issue.
Considering we paid over £300 for the room, it was frustrating to have such a poor night’s sleep in what was otherwise a really nice hotel. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Pros:

The location and the staff are great.

Cons:

The windows do not fully close so it gets quite noisy in the night. And we had no running cold water for a while.

Pros:

Fantastic location for visiting Canterbury (by medieval Westgate Tower). Stylish comfortable decor throughout the hotel. Staff were excellent. Great food choice at breakfast. We had a very comfortable budget 'cosy double' room. Not noisy at night. We enjoyed the 2 for 1 cocktails and free cheese and biscuits.
Convenient private parking at the rear - not free, but much better than other Canterbury accomodation where you need you need to use a public car park. Very close to places to eat.

Cons:

Nothing

Comfortable and quiet city centre stop over.
Pros:

Great location. Comfortable bed. Clean and tidy. Great team at front desk.

Cons:

Strange smell in the room due to bushes outside, directly under the window.
Must have caught the breakfast team on a day off. It took over half an hour to come, had been overlooked and was then pretty poor. Rubber scrambled eggs, burnt bacon. Wife had avocado on toast which was like liquid guacamole out of a pot on a soggy bit of brown bread. Sadly, inedible. Hopefully, just an off day.

Was perfect for our quick one night stay visiting the theatre nearby
Pros:

Such a great location for the theatre, station, lots of restaurants and westgate. Really welcoming staff and really well presented room.

Cons:

The sheets smelt musty/dusty. Made my partner sneeze a lot. The breakfast was ok but the eggs could've been seasoned and thr beans were a bit watery. Some decent bread to go with breakfast would be good.
