Superb breakfast, can't fault. Staff friendly and helpful.
Room was in a separte building - wasn't expecting this. Room was quite small. Drinks were really expensive and the house wine (2 for 1 offer) was not from a bottle but from a handheld hose‑style dispenser and was still £9 a glass! Staff very nice but not very knowledgeable about EV charging in the area. Hotel car park expensive and needed an app to pay for it.
Nice quiet room away from the road. Excellent toiletries. Good bedlinen. Generous breakfast.
My room (43) stuffy, musty and unaired. Could not open windows.
Decor , position and friendly staff
Great location with friendly helpful staff. We had a 'cosy' double, which was cosy bit adequate for our needs as we don't usually spend a lot of time in the room. We have stayed sevetal.times before and will again. Great location to explore the delights of Canterbury.

Top Lage in der City, alles sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar
Sehr freundliches Personal
Kommen gerne wieder
Bar and bar staff . Location was good and bad . Breakfast was good.
Location of room in a separate block above/ adjacent to a dodgy pizza kitchen and a Wetherspoon pub. Car park outside our room now sub let to a car park company which means it’s scruffy . Room decor is tired. For £500 for two nights you need to supply air con. Some parts of main hotel were tired. Try sleeping with the windows open and a fight going on in the Wetherspoons underneath and next door !
Geweldig sfeervol hotel met heel erg aardig personeel. De ligging was perfect, en alles was schoon en verzorgd. De cocktails van de bar zijn ook een aanrader!
We were looking for a one night stay on Sunday 31st May. Walked in ( My husband, me and my guide dog Emily). We were about to get the train the following day. Just wanted somewhere to stay and have breakfast. Not hard… and there were definitely rooms available. The gentleman was trying to sell the most expensive until he noticed my guide dog. All of a sudden they would not let us stay if there were any carpets … only wooden floors and they were not available. Asked nicely at the beginning trying to explain to him that by law guide dogs can go ANYWHERE but he would not listen and although he was trying to be politely he would not sort this out. Asked for the manager…. not available. In the end we gave up and I was very upset.
Went to another hotel ( The Pilgrim Hotel ) who accepted us straight away with no problem. And more reasonable money so I’d recommend them not here.
This is a great place for an overnight stay on the way to Dover. Room was decent size, clean and bed was comfortable. Parking is £15 for the night extra but car park is secure and hidden away. Right in the centre of Canterbury.
The two for one cocktail and cheese and biscuits were great
The pigeons!!
The bar and reception area was very nice
The cosy room we had booked was far too small and the windows barely opened so the room was boiling. None of the rooms have air con which is fine, but as I’m 34 weeks pregnant me and my husband asked if they had a cooler room available, the man said they had a bigger room available on the ground floor but we would have to pay £30 extra as this was an upgraded room. As we wouldn’t have been able to stay in the smaller room we paid for the upgrade. He later told me that the cosy room type was really more suited to a single occupancy so I’m not sure why it was available when booking for 2 people.
The car park also costs £15 per night it is not included with the room. Both room we seen were nicely decorated but had scuffs on the furniture and stains on the carpets.
Dicht bij het centrum, fijne locatie.Op zich leuke en gezellige kamer. Fijne badkamer. Schoon
Apart betalen voor het parkeren. Kamer had wat kleine beschadigingen, oogt mooier als dit even wordt bijgewerkt. Het was mooi weer,er is achter een terras, waar in de avond nog muziek vandaan kwam.
Very central in Canterbury
No air con in the room
