Fabulous location, rooms and breakfast. Shame about the bar staff.
Pros:

Location was great, rooms were lovely, breakfast was really nice. Parking was a bonus, even if it did come at an extra cost because it was convenient.

Cons:

When we asked for a drink at the hotel bar we were told they were shut…even though it was 10:30pm, we were guests and even though we could have ordered room service, the staff member actually said they woul walk us to another bar rather than serve us. We did go to the other bar, the drinks were nicer and we didn’t drink at the hotel bar again, but the reception staff and restaurant staff for breakfast were really friendly and helpful and the hotel in general was really lovely.

Lovely characterful property with friendly staff

Cons:

The noise from the road until the early hours of the morning was very problematic & windows are so old you can’t close some and can’t open others. Sleep was very tricky.

Lovely hotel and staff let down by a terrible room

Lovely bar and lounge, staff polite, friendly and helpful, good breakfast.

Cons:

The room was tiny, boiling hot and on the main road, so very noisy as the window had to be open. The shower was weak and tiny, no fridge, for £220 it was awful.
