Enjoyable
Pros:

Peppers brekky 2 for $40 was perfect. Yummy food.

Cons:

A TV in the bedroom would have been good.
Also extended spa times. We wouldn't often get back till late due to enjoying Port douglas, and wouldn't have time to spa. A day spa wasn't often warranted during the day due to the outside temperatures. Night spas with the ambient lighting was so much nicer.

Jó a szálloda elhelyezkedése. A személyzet kedves és segítőkész. A szobában tea és kávé főzési lehetőség volt. A szobában ķényelmes volt az ágy a pihentetö alváshoz. Parkolni a mélygarázsban lehetett. A közelben több étterem, pub közül lehetett választani.

Locked out after paid in full
Pros:

Do you know what happens when you get locked out of the room at the Mantra Aqueous? Unfortunately, it’s a horrific experience any full paying guest should never endure. All of our belongings-clothes, car keys, meds, contacts, solutions, were in the room as the key no longer worked. After a full day of being on the GBR with our wet bathing suits, we looked forward to a shower and a nice dinner out. There’s NO staff on duty after 5 pm and at 6 pm, you get locked out of the hotel. They are too cheap to employ another staff member so they have a system where you call and someone is supposed to answer. This epically failed. We redialed over 100x, and when we got someone, we got cut off. Where do we sleep tonight? I ran to the 2 other Mantras in flip flops while my husband held the front door only to find the same failed system in place there too. I called the emergency number from my cell….”Hold the line please.” And cut off. After 2 hours, we finally spoke to someone, told them not to put us in hold, and requested to send someone. 2 people arrived and said they only got my message 1 min ago and told us ‘we are fine now.’ Fine wasn’t the word I would use and I wrote to the mgr and spoke to him the day we left. After 2 weeks I had to follow up before we left Australia and the mgr said he didn’t hear back from the phone service co. He sent me an Accor gift card valued at USD 65 which expires in 3 years. Not even a one night stay. When I complained even more with corporate, they added 2000 points which expire after a year and I’ll never use. The whole experience was a nightmare. The pool had thick green algae. See pics. I booked a swim out room but didn’t get. The travel agent blamed the hotel and the hotel blamed the travel agent. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Family Getaway
Pros:

Very enjoyable stay.
Daughters swim out room was great. My first floor room 26 ticked all the boxes. Reception staff very helpful. Late night check in was so easy to navigate and directions were very easy to follow. Location is great for the younger ones to walk into the main shopping strip. But being older my husband and I used a shuttle bus that reception can organise and very reasonably priced. Very happy with everything would definitely stay at the Mantra Aqueous on our next trip.
