Great central city location with lovely, friendly and welcoming service throughout the hotel. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, and valet parking was easy and convenient.
The concierge and overall service felt much quieter and more relaxed compared to the larger Crown hotels, which we really appreciated.
Sadly, the rooms are in desperate need of a makeover to bring them up to a more modern standard. The bathrooms are quite outdated, with old and worn shower fixtures, and there were even spots of mould in the tiled shower.
The bed was also extremely soft, I almost got lost in the middle of it 😂
For the price of a night’s stay, you would expect these areas to be updated and better maintained.
Great staff & a beautiful hotel
Location was fantastic, and it felt like a quiet sanctuary after the busyness of the city. I loved the spaciousness of the room and the sense of quiet. Bed was super comfy. I loved the pool, spa and sauna. Friendly service was excellent.
Sauna wasn’t quite hot enough in the morning
No kettle charger in room so I couldn’t make a cup of tea
Having to recut key for late check out access to Wellness Centre wasn’t well communicated
Coffee in lobby lounge was overpriced.
The location is very convenient. There are a lot of restaurants nearby the hotel.
The housekeeping was disappointed. There was a time they clean up the room but no clean up in the toilet, with the used towel in the bathtub not changing to the new one too.
It’s really well placed to get around Melbourne, the staff are excellent, and so is the breakfast
Comfort, location, space, quiet room, swimming pool
Hot Breakfast buffet was not always fresh and hot. Although choice and quality of food was good. Used towels left around in swimming pool changing room and empty water bottles left on the floor.
Centrally located. Great room. Not a huge hotel so didn’t feel really busy like other larger hotels.
I wish there was a spa. Whilst the team provided details of a local hotel that had a spa I would have preferred to be located in the actual hotel.
Great central location. Walk or tram everywhere. All hotel facilities exceptional
Did not have breakfast there so can’t comment. Bit expensive but worth it.
Superb location. Lovely room. Gym and pool good. Staff generally friendly.
Some aspects of the estate a bit tired. Toilet didn’t work properly and shower dripped. Rooms clean but corridors less so (curiously).
El desayuno espectacular, las instalaciones, la habitación
Though we have stayed in multiple Marriott brands, this was our first time in Westin. Needless to say, the "Westin experience" exceeded all our expectations. From the room to the amenities, the warmth of the staff to the ambience of the hotel. The lip-smackingly delicious breakfast needs special appreciation. Cheers to Chef Pant for the delicious Indian food. The breakfast spread was a perfect mix of various cuisines.
Our stay at The Westin Melbourne was nothing short of exemplary, and there was nothing to be mentioned as "needs improvement". The only minor improvement (which might not be the same from room to room) was the placement of the shower cubicle door. It was slightly off-placed that water seeps out from the cubicle while showering.
5 star standard with great service
The space, location, valet parking, exceptional staff mannerisms and kindness
Lack of information in room for options like room service
