The breakfast was very nice
The Christmas snowman is still lit up in March . The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable
Lovely helpful staff .....very dog friendly!
Really good breakfast.
Would stay again.
Only complaint was the shower pressure in the bathroom..... hardly enough to get wet ....minor issue over all
fairly clean and comfortable
No internet
Shower is VERY LOW PRESSURE
This was our second stay at this hotel, and we were made very welcome by the staff. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent as before with a large choice.
Our room was large and comfortable (very comfy bed). Spotlessly clean, like the public areas of the hotel.
Plenty of parking spaces.
Great location, just off the A9, so ideal for anyone touring Scotland too, but still a quiet location. Tain has some nice restaurants (including at the hotel), and is a good place to refuel (Tesco, in the middle of town, was the best value for diesel).
The front of the hotel is a stunning late Victorian building, with large late C20th extension on the back, and the rooms we have had there on both stays have been much bigger than you would find in more modern hotels. It is nice to have the space.
Hoping to be back next year, for a slightly longer stay.
The hotel decor is a bit like going back to the 1990s, which may not be to everyone's taste, but it is still comfortable and convenient. There are other places to stay in Tain with a more modern, 'boutique' kind of style, if that's what you are looking for.
Beware the potholes on the drive! I expect these will be filled in soon.
Staff are friendly, rooms are spacious and clean
Beds are uncomfortable and could do with new mattresses.
Not a lot to like about this place dated worn out and not very clean at all.
The chair in the room was the size for a five year old.
The double bed was two singles zipped together and it was as hard as rock making it very uncomfortable.
The room was very spacious, queen size bed , and spotless clean.
Had a lovely time. Thank you
All staff were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and polite. Spacious room. Lovely breakfast.
Bathroom needs to be upgraded with walk in shower.
I wonderful local hotel. Our rooms were spotless! Very large and warm and comfortable. The staff we incredibly helpful and nice . We will most definitely stay again in the summer.
No complaints at all perfect stay
Very affordable, friendly staff very accommodating. We were visiting the local motocross track and weren’t going to make it for breakfast so they bagged us up a breakfast to take away. Very kind
The food and staff are both excellent.
