Pros:

Staff were very friendly

Cons:

It’s old and tired, lacking amenity, really old tv, saggy bed and terrible acoustics. We were in one of those rooms with an interconnecting door and we could hear every word from the people next door. Disappointing.

Pros:

Nothing much to be honest

Cons:

Noise levels are unacceptable. First night loud music was playing at 5 am. It also appears the room I was in has very poor acoustic insulation with possible utility area above. Bangs heard all times of day. Leaving this alone at 7 am they send you a message and e mail reminder to do online check out so if you want to relax and sleep in this is not the one

Great views and excellent location.
Pros:

Location was good and the room we had was great, with views to the ocean.

Cons:

An extra charge for car parking that we weren’t aware of when booking. The foyer area was quite shabby.

Goed personeel maar het hotel zelf viel wat tegen
Pros:

Alles was schoon en netjes en het personeel vriendelijk.

Cons:

Helaas had ik meer van het hotel zelf verwacht. De foto’s van het zwembad vind ik misleidend en de sfeer in het hotel viel tegen.

Pros:

The hotel looks pretty nice, the staff was very helpful nice and friendly.For my first time in cairns I really enjoyed the view from my room. The price was reasonable. Most of the tours you can get picked up from the hotel. It wasn’t noisy. I had a good time

Cons:

I was thinking my kettle wasn’t working because you needed your room card for some power point when other was working. It was confusing. A balcony but no chairs to sit to enjoy the view. No douna for the bed just a blanket in the cabinet even with no air conditioning I was freezing. I am not upset I had a great time. It’s just little things

Great location but had a terrible night sleep on a very poor quality mattress.
Pros:

The location was great.
Staff very friendly.

Cons:

Bed was very hard and dipped in the middle.
The shower was very slippery. Very dangerous for an elderly person.

Pros:

Good breakfast as compared to other hotels in the same price range in the area.

Cons:

We booked for three adults. Upon arrival the guy at the reception says that we have booked a room for 3 adults but just booked a double bed. So he meant that you need to book number of beds as well. I told him that how can you sleep 3 adults in one double bed? He said thats how they make bookings at this hotel. I told him I have never heard of such thing anywhere else.

I don’t know if this is something local, but they should see over the system. This is ridiculous. If I make a booking for three adults, its not my problem to arranged the number of beds. Anyhow the guy at the reception helped out later and gave us a room with 3 beds.
