Location perfect - between Hagley and Longwood, our two destinations. Room was spacious, well equipped, and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Also two good restaurants within a short walk.
Can’t think of anything.
Did not eat the breakfast; outstanding location; excellent staff; excellent cleanliness.
Mattress could be updated.
Very nice room, hotel cleanliness, and great location
Breakfast was average at best.
Ww stayed two nights. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Hallway carpets were a bit worn, but our room was clean and comfortable. We had two outstanding restaurants, a bakery/café, and a diner all in brief walking distance from the hotel. We were a quarter mile from Brandywine Art Museum ( don't walk, I think they are building sidewalks, and a short drive from Kennett Square and Longwood Hardens.
Location. Close to Longwood Gardens. Nicely decorated.
Easy check in and super quiet 🤫
Clean. Quiet. Nice surrounding businesses: bakery, florist, yoga studio, restaurants.
I would like a microwave in the room. Don't try to walk across route 1 but I hear they are building an overpass to walk over.
Cozy
Needs some updates
Location and work staff
The room was cute, and nicely quiet, and the bed was comfy enough (I'm tall, so I don't fit well in most hotel queen beds). My spouse loved the pillows - she wants them for our house.
Easy, spacious parking lot well off the road, plenty of space there and well lit. The keycode entry system was perfect and worked flawlessly. The breakfast location was really awesome - nice café vibe, bright, spacious, neat and a little quirky. Definitely comfortable. Super friendly at check-in and the next morning. Tony, I think it was - working hard both the evening we checked in and the next morning when we checked out. I appreciate the dedication. Great bathroom with a fantastic shower. Nice breakfast offerings, fresh and tasty pastries.
The waffle station was a little... meh, but I also got there later in the morning, so that's on me. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more offerings for breakfast.
The bath towels in our room were more a jumbled pile on the shelf than folded, which made my spouse wonder if they were even clean (they were). That was a bit awkward.
This is a lovely hotel located on a bucolic property. Troy at the front desk introduced himself, which was a nice touch. It is close to attractions like Longwood Gardens, and the Andrew Wyeth Museum. It was clean and comfortable and quiet.
Nothing
Friendly staff, ease of check-in and checkout. Great location for the activities we had planned.
A/C unit was a bit noisy and there was no coffee maker in the room.
Breakfast was good and the location was also good. Room was clean and the staff quite friendly.
The room was a bit dark. The bed was too high for my 5'1" height. There was no comfortable seating option. There were 2 chairs, both on rollers. A 'must have' in every hotel room is a comfortable chair or a sofa to sit and relaxt at the end of the day.
breakfast did not offer many options.
Bathroom showerhead was so dirty. The furniture was not clean or in good condition, specifically a broken chair.
I stayed at the hotel for three nights with my wife and overall we were satisfied. The beds were comfortable and we really appreciated the possibility to open our windows for fresh air. A nowadays rare feature.
Also having actual plates and cutlery (with paper/plastic options as well) was great! It really elevates the breakfast experience. Breakfast was plentiful, with sweet and savory options.
The location is great for visiting important sights in the area as well as towns and bigger cities all 15-25 minutes away, driving through the most wonderful countryside.
The first thing we noticed needed improvement is cleanliness. Overall it was OK but the bathroom needed a deep cleaning (Ex. a few hair strands were left in the tub and on the floor, the trims in the bathroom need to be cleaned, the plumbing under the sink is exposed and grimy...)
The dining room was really beautiful, with cozy details and (as already mentioned) real ceramic dishes and metal cutlery. However, the floor clearly needed vacuuming, I came across spoons and forks that were not properly washed, the water tasted a bit odd and the quality of the fruit and pastries presented degraded with each day.
Another "little" detail - there is a water fountain in the hallway but it barely trickles water. A bit sad...
