Fantastic stay, beautiful room and friendly staff
Pros:

Really friendly staff and gorgeous room. Felt super luxurious but affordable.

Cons:

You had to book the spa in advance and the jacuzzis were separate from the main hotel.

My favorite place in Italy
Pros:

Everything. Good air-conditioning, beautiful historic buildings and rooms with modern bathrooms. Plenty of room to place luggage, sit and relax. Facilities are shared with sister buildings and include a beautiful underground, indoor heated pool and spa, outdoor hot tubs, and beautiful panoramic views.

Ottima pozione, in un palazzo antico ben rinnovato (anche se qualche dettaglio da sistemare lo si trova)

Cons:

Colazione non all’altezza di un 4*, e l’assenza di una spa interna, con la necessità di prenotarla in anticipo e presso un’altra struttura vicina non rendono fruibile il servizio.

Nice overall, no spa included!!!
Pros:

Very beautiful room and hotel overall. Perfect location. We were in the suite and was very beautiful decorated. Saloon -perfect. Breakfast plentiful.

No Spa!!!
Only one but for us a major flaw: since the name implies hotel and spa. Many pictures of the spa in the description. When we went there there was a catch , a little SCAM: spa is located in another building and costs 30 euro for 90 min. For guests costs 25 euro. Reservation advised they say. We went back to the hotel explaining we booked this place for the advertised spa, so the told us we can go for free then. Problem is if we didn’t ask or there was maybe a different person on the front desk, this policy seems like SCAM, since it’s so advertised. Spa itself was rather small, but for a free one was sufficient. If it was free on the first place or was not falsely advertised I would have given 9 points. Now because of this „method“ on a otherwise very good hotel I would give 7.

The architecture of the building and the interior are so beautiful. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. Staff were so friendly and helpful also. It was very clean and comfortable

Disappointing experience with one staff member at check-in

I want to be clear that this review reflects the behavior of a single male receptionist we encountered at check-in, the rest of the staff were genuinely warm and helpful throughout our stay.

On arrival, 45 minutes before the 2pm check-in time, this particular receptionist offered no greeting whatsoever and told us we could not wait in the lobby, directing us outside in 30°C heat. We weren’t asking for an early check-in , simply a friendly “welcome, your room will be ready shortly” would have been enough. It was an unnecessarily cold and unwelcoming start to what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

To make matters worse, when my partner quietly remarked to another guest that the receptionist was perhaps having a bad day, he came downstairs and confronted my partner directly, demanding he say it to his face. What started as an unwelcoming interaction had now become an intimidating and threatening one.

This level of conduct from a front-of-house employee is completely unacceptable and, frankly, alarming. We sincerely hope management addresses this, as it does not reflect the otherwise kind and accommodating team at this hotel.

9/10, a mejorar!
Pros:

El hotel es hermoso. Las habitaciones son cómodas, pintorescas y luminosas. El desayuno variado y muy rico. Para aparcar, hay varios estacionamientos; el personal de la recepción, registra el auto en la ZTL por los días de la estadía.

Cons:

Creo que para un 4 estrellas, le falta personal. Hay una sola chica en la cocina, que hacía todo. Los días que estuvimos hospedados, la vimos sobrepasada. La gente en recepción no fue tan atenta: un día llamé para ver si me podían cargar un termo con agua caliente (porque las habitaciones no cuentan con pava eléctrica) y me dijo que espere al desayuno o que vaya a ver en la cocina si estaba la chica, incluso cuando le expliqué que estábamos saliendo más temprano de excursión.

Great location right downtown yet quiet. Justine, Jean Luc and Andra went above and beyond to assist us with our requirements for early departure on our bicycles including a breakfast box. Loved it

Pros:

Very accommodating front desk staff. We loved having a Jacuzzi after our cycling. The frescoes on the ceiling were an added bonus.
We enjoyed the dinner voucher at an excellent restaurant
